Villa Morning Glory is a Private and Stylish newly renovated home with private plunge pool, located on St. Thomas in the gated Caret Bay Villas community. While only 15 minutes from town, it feels a world away!

PLEASE NOTE: A Vehicle is Required and AWD vehicle is highly suggested due to island roads.

Villa Morning Glory combines the finest in Caribbean style and comfort. This is a newly renovated, private, 2 bedroom villa with amazing panoramic views and its own private pool!

Stunning ocean views fill every room and if you choose not to use the A/C you will be cooled by wonderful trade winds and hear the sounds of the ocean on the shore below the villa.

Furnished with impeccable taste and style including art and decor from around the world you are sure to feel special when you book this villa.

A private deck, overlooking the water, provides immaculate views of the sea, along with a secluded place to relax poolside and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Dining outdoors on the private wrap around deck with views of inner and outer brass islands and the occasional mega yacht passing by is equally sublime.

Villa Morning Glory can accommodate up to 6 guests and includes a fully equipped kitchen, Indoor and Outdoor Dining tables for 6, 2 Private bedrooms 3 separate bathrooms, Flat screen Smart TVs in every room., Bluetooth compatible Stereo, and of course air-conditioning and secure WiFi.

The house is close enough to the town of Charlotte Amalie for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. You are only about a 15-20 minute drive from the airport as well. The villa is really the most romantic, scenic, and amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all.

Other things to note
A vehicle is required to access the property. (AWD recommended due to steep island roads)

Parking is limited to 1 car. You must park in your assigned spot and not block other cars. A parking pass must be displayed while parked on property.

Access/Mobility: Access to the villa and moving about the villa could be an issue for those with mobility issues. There is a double set of stairs from the parking area down to the house and then inside the house the bedrooms are upstairs and living area downstairs. This villa isn’t accessible for those with mobility/limited mobility issues.

Supplies : On arrival the house will be stocked with a "Starter Set" of household supplies including Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Dish soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bath Soap, Dishwasher Detergent, Garbage Bags, etc. If you needed extra supplies during your stay it is suggested that you visit the local convenience store which is less than 10 minutes drive from the house.

Linens & Towels: The beds will each be made up with sheets blankets and pillows. 6 Sets of Bath Towels as well as Beach Towels will be provided. There is no washing machine in the house so if you wanted additional linens and towels on top of whats already provided, please let us know, and we can provide them for an additional cost.

Food / Provisioning: There are 2 convenience stores (Nidal 1 & 2) less than 10 minutes from the house. For a larger selection, Pueblo and Moes Fresh Market in Charlotte Amalie are around 15-18 minutes drive. There are also a couple of provisioning companies on island that can shop and stock your fridge for you prior to your arrival. For more info on this please contact us.

Trash: You are responsible to remove all trash from the home before departure. The community has no trash pickup so as a result you must deposit trash up at along the main road at the island dumpsters. To find them head up to the top of the hill where there is the sign for Caret Bay West. Turn either left or right onto the main road. About 5 minutes in either direction you will see the dumpsters on the right hand side of the road. Just throw all trash into these dumpsters and you are all set.

Pool: please follow all pool rules posted which include:
- No children under 18, may swim without direct adult supervision.
- No Diving, Jumping, Rough Play, Running, etc.
- No Food
- No Glass around the pool.
- Guest Assumes ALL Liability

Weekly Pool Cleaning: There is a pool cleaning company that comes once a week (Friday). they show up unannounced and will come around the side of the house to clean the pool. They will not give notice so please be aware that on Friday they may show up at any time. By accepting the rental rules you give permission for the pool cleaning person to clean the pool without advance notice.

Wifi Devices and Security Cameras: The houses has smart devices to monitor cistern water levels, extend wifi throughout the house, and monitor the perimeter of the property. Do not unplug any of these devices since if they go off line we will have to send someone to troubleshoot, and if they are found to be unplugged we will have to charge the service call fee to your account.

This is NOT a "party house". The next door neighbors are older and appreciate peace and quiet past 10pm. You must promise me you will be calm after 10pm. If you plan on a relaxing low key weekend then this is the house for you, but if you want to have a raucous party weekend please consider somewhere else. Noise complaints from neighbors or evidence of parties will result in termination of the reservation, as well as a fine.

CHECK OUT PROCEDURES:

When leaving the house we ask that you help with a few things to keep the home in good condition.

Grill: Gas is turned off, Grill Scraped, and the Grill Cover is put back on the grill.

Run Dishwasher: Please don't leave dirty dishes in sink or machine.

Towels: Please hang all used towels in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Please do not leave wet/dirty towels in pile.

Doors and Windows: are all Closed and Locked.

Air Conditioners & Lights: Are all turned off.

Beach Chairs, Snorkel Gear, Coolers, Etc: sand knocked off, rinsed with fresh water and returned.

Check out before 11am
(a late check-out/early check in may be available for a fee)

Rental Party: The guest confirms that he or she is over the age of 21 and can legally enter into this agreement. The rental party shall only consist of Guest and his/her family unless otherwise approved.

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 4 persons. An additional charge per person per night for guests in addition to 4 will be assessed and additional fee for the queen sized air mattress and extra sheets.

Housekeeping: There is a one-time fee per stay for a pre arrival and post departure cleaning. While linens, bath towels and beach towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Mid stay cleanings are not included in the rental rate. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately.

Accidents, Injuries, Illness, and Loss of Personal Property: The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. (there is an in room safe provided.) Please consider travel insurance.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is insurance that is intended to cover medical expenses, financial default of travel suppliers, and other losses incurred while traveling, either within one's own country, or internationally. We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.

Parking: : A parking pass is required to park on resort property. There is no charge for parking during your stay. Vehicles are required to display the parking pass at all times and are required to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Storms: No refunds will be given for storms or Hurricanes. We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.

Air Conditioning – The A/C unit is very strong and will cool the place down in just a few minutes…I request that when you leave the unit for the day or even for an hour, please turn off the A/C. Electricity is very expensive because it is an island and if it is left on all day it can cost me hundreds per week extra!!! I am only able to keep my rates down because my guests help me conserve energy. So please be mindful.

Water: The house runs on a cistern meaning we have to be extra careful about how much water we use otherwise the house can run low on water. We ask that you be as conscious of this as possible.

Video Monitoring: there will be a video security system located outside the home to provide for your safety and the safety of the property. Please abide by the maximum occupancy rules of the home (there is no video inside the home)

Child Safety: You are responsible for your own child safety protocol. There are certain areas on the property that can be considered “unsafe for children” You must assume all risks associated with renting this house. (please discuss with owner in advance if you have concerns)

Pool usage is "At Your Own Risk". There are Rules and Regulations posted at each pool. No one under the age of 18 is permitted without an adult.
No horseplay, No glass or bottles, etc. Please, be aware of these Rules and AGAIN, KEEP LATE NOISE TO A MINIMUM.

Dreamy location, gorgeous stay!

Our family of four (parents two kids, 9 & 7) stayed at Villa Morning Glory for a week, and it could not have been more refreshing and enjoyable. The house is completely private--you never see the neighbors in the adjacent home. It's a perfect size for a family. The bedrooms are spacious, both have balconies overlooking the bay, and generous bathrooms. It was really nice to give the kids their own space. Once we mastered driving on the island, and learned to take the Caret Bay WEST road (seriously, do NOT take Caret Bay East, even if GPS says to--it's a treacherous, bumpy dirt road through farms. You'll regret it!) getting to and from the house was relatively easy. Just multiply drive times by 1.5 to be on the safe side. 20 minutes? figure 30. It is wonderful to come home to the Villa after a long day exploring, snorkeling, and beachcombing. Our girls were in the pool every second they squeeze in. The deck is great for reading with a cup of coffee in the morning, and the kitchen is REALLY well apportioned with all the dishes and utensils you'd need for any meal. Grocery store is close enough to dash out when you realize you've forgotten something.Overall, the experience from start to finish was excellent. Alan makes sure to include tips and details about anything you could be wondering about, from restaurant and beach recommendations to how to take out the trash. We'd love to stay here next time!

Beautiful stay

Very comfortable, clean villa with a great view, helpful guide to the area. There is a steep narrow road leading to the property, if you take your time it is fine. I would recommend it.

Great property and location

Completely equipped villa, spacious and comfortable. Pay heed to the recommendation for AWD! You'll need it to get there as well as to go the Neltjeberg beach which is less than two miles away (but it will take you 20 minutes) and is your own private beach. Once you traverse the roads a couple of times (and get used to driving on the left) the switchbacks and inclines become the norm for getting around St Thomas. Morning Glory has a great view of the Atlantic, and a large balcony. Look to the left and you see Puerto Rico, to your right St. John. The a/c worked well, and the kitchen and Weber were all we needed to be self-sufficient after a trip to the grocery store. The pantry is thin on condiments but most spices are available. The bed in the master was comfortable, and the bath large with a walk-in shower. Water pressure is maybe half of that to which you're accustomed and we're big tea drinkers so the electric kettle allowed us to boil all the water we drank as a matter of course. Morning Glory is located in a secluded, private community and you won't see anyone except for possibly the gardener. A great place to get away, and it was our first vacation in two years. I recommend taking a day trip to Water Island and also St John, where we rented a 40hp boat and snorkeled at 5 bays in one day. Groceries at Moe's about 2 miles away, as the meat and produce at Pueblo in Charlotte was pretty distasteful. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to avoid tourists.

We had an amazing stay at this property! The views were absolutely stunning, and the pool was a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the scenery. The home was beautifully decorated, with every room feeling stylish yet comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. We felt right at home and can’t wait to come back!

Amazing honeymoon!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The place was very clean and the views were amazing. Kitchen fully stocked with utensils, plates, cups, pans, pots, blender, coffee maker, literally everything. The pool was clean and nice! Water pressure was low, but we didn’t mind. We conserved water by turning it off while brushing teeth, cooking, etc and had no problems. The roads are tough but the video and pinned information after we had booked made it easier to get to. I had to adjust to the roads but just go slow and stay alert and you will be fine! The host was easy to communicate with and even helped before we had booked. There was a binder absolutely FULL of everything we needed to enjoy our week here. I can’t say enough good things about this space!

Amazing Home with Perfect View

We stayed here on our anniversary trip for 7 days and to call it paradise is an understatement. Very clean and well maintained. We could have just sat on that deck and enjoyed the view forever. House had everything you need for exploring the beaches in the area with chairs, coolers, and snorkel equipment which is a must do while you are here. This is the first review I have ever left because we were just amazed how beautiful this property truly is. Would definitely recommend for a trip to St Thomas.

Peaceful, Comfortable, Incredible Views

Planning was made easy with very detailed information and great communications with the host Alan. We expected to arrive at a beautiful home but it was beyond our expectations. The villa is more spacious, more comfortable, with more stunning views from every door and window than we ever imagined. We had all the amenities we needed that we didn’t even need to leave the villa, as well as everything we needed to hit the gorgeous beaches. It was so quiet and private, set away from crowds, but a quick drive to any spot on the island. Checkin and checkout was effortless. After about a week I’m usually ready to be home but I was definitely sad leaving here. I wish I had stayed a month.

Best Villa in STT!

We had the best stay at Alan’s villa in Caret Bay. The villa is located on a quiet private part of the island which we appreciated. The villa was stocked with anything you could possible need in terms of beach toys, kitchen gadgets, and plenty of linens. The guest binder is on point with tons of info and solid recommendations. We absolutely loved our stay here and plan on returning.

Glimpse of Paradise

We had an unforgettable vacation at Morning Glory Villa. The views were second to none! It was very peaceful and serene. Our host Alan made sure we had everything we needed and more for a comfortable & incredible stay. If we had any questions, Alan answered them straight away. The suggestions for activities were just what we wanted to experience the nightlife and marine life. It was also a pleasure just to hang out at the villa and take in all the beauty and relax by the pool with a few good books. Beautiful place

The house was absolutely beautiful, with great views, clean and a great and safe neighborhood. We loved the house! The only thing I wish it had was a washer and dryer to help with laundry overload when we got home… There is a laundry mat in town, but we didn’t want to waste time going to one considering our time there was cut short from flight issues already. We stayed 4 nights it was supposed to be 5.

Perfect get away

The property was very nice and well appointed! The property owner also communicated very well. He was very upfront about the property requiring a jeep to reach it. He was not kidding! However we still had no problem venturing out and there was a grocery store nearby. Beds were comfy and the living area was relaxing. We would return!

Great views

For nine day we stayed here. Beautiful location, beautiful view. Loved the sunrise each morning. Pool was cool for our liking. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the grill was great. Beds were super comfortable. Sliding doors were hard at times to open but I would think that was because of the salt air. I was not one of the car drivers in our party and was very glad. It’s a mile off the main road and was a little tricky at times. You have to tolerate the road for the absolutely best view ever. Glad we had a jeep.

Vacation in Paradise!

We couldn’t have been more pleased! Alan was a wonderful host and the property was exactly as described! The villa was spacious and clean with magnificent views! We didn't want to leave. We even met the neighbors who have a retail store downtown with beautiful merchandise. They referred us to a wonderful dining establishment. If you’re looking for a remarkable villa with views that don’t disappoint, this is the place to book! We hope to be back soon! Couple trip

Everything was nice, we had a issue with the pool. But it was fixed in a timely manner. We had a wonderful time, and really enjoyed St Thomas and enjoyed taking the ferry over to St John’s. The beaches and the food were outstanding.

13 Morning Glory 2023

The property is well maintained and equipped. The host (Alan) is as good a host as you will ever have. The house water pressure is weak, but workable however the views and the quiet, secluded, gated community is ideal for a relaxing stay. Hull Bay is a fantastic nearby beach and easily accessible. Don't miss the Fish Bar in the same area for terrific food, ambiance, and local vibes. Also the Soap Opera laundry at the bottom of the hill on the west side is very reasonable for drop off fluff and fold service if you are staying for any length of time.

Breathtaking view

Thanks for a wonderful stay! The villa was great. Rooms beautiful, views everywhere, and we certainly found everything we needed. Easy to cook breakfast and dinners in fully equipped kitchen. We did not use the snorkeling equipment, but everything was there … towels, fins, chairs, little cooler… for our beach outings. The pool was nice too. Good for a quick cool-off dip. Mountain roads were serious and the directions worked well with an all wheel drive vehicle. The drive and views became part of our experience. Did I mention the view? The View was special. Great in the morning (and sun rise if you are up). Then also at night with the stars from the deck. St Thomas was super nice and taking day trip ferry to St John was amazing! Enjoyed a couple of meals out, especially the Fish Bar. Thanks for sharing such a great place. Cheers

Great house! Amazing view!

The host (Alan) was very helpful communicating before our trip. And, he has a great info packet he shares with things to do, beaches, restaurants, etc. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Morning Glory! The house was nice and clean. The view from the deck was amazing (views of inner brass, outer brass, the edge of hill bay, and the edge of mavens bay). While staying there we drove to: Brewster, Magens, Lindbergh beaches. We also took the following boat trips: VI Cat, St John, Water Island. We saw sea turtles at Brewster Beach, on the VI Cat, Magens beach, and at Honeymoon (Water island). Get the fish tacos from Heidi’s on Water Island. They are amazing. The only drawback was finding the house the first time. We made a wrong turn in the neighborhood and couldn’t find the house. But, we found it on our second attempt. Some parts of the neighborhood road are hard to distinguish from driveways. And, the road is very rough and steep in spots. We just took it slow and treated it like we were “off roading”. Enjoy!

The property and owner are fantastic! Communication was fast and easy for any questions or concerns. I think one of the best things was the guide we were given by the owner that made us feel like locals in a place we'd never been. He guided us to the best beaches, food and activities to top off the time we weren't enjoying the magnificent views from the Villa. Highly recommended!
