Shipwatch oceanfront condominiums, offered by Hodnett Cooper, have been a favorite family destination for many years. With just 52 residences, Shipwatch is a quiet community ideal for both weekend getaways and multiple month escapes.

Each residence features two bedrooms, two full baths, a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, and a private balcony.

Community amenities include boardwalk access to the heart of St. Simons' sand beaches, a swimming pool, volleyball area, large grass lawn, outdoor grills and complimentary in-room high speed internet service.

Though this community is located directly on the ocean, individual residences, unless otherwise specified, do not offer ocean views.

Bedding Includes: 1 Queen, 2 Twins and 1 Sleeper sofa.

Beach Gear Credit Now Included Hodnett Cooper has partnered with VayK Gear, a beach delivery service provider to offer beach gear rentals to Hodnett Cooper guests in participating properties. Great neighborhood, okay condo

The condo is in a great location! We enjoyed Shipwatch and it’s a great beach location. The community pool was clean. Condo is small, but works for the a family of 4. Cons: the place was not clean. I cleaned sticky, brown spots off the kitchen floor upon arrival. There were several pairs of socks left around the condo from a previous visitor. The paper towel holder was left with the empty roll on the holder and the replacements sitting on the counter. And mostly the airflow at night in the bedrooms was nonexistent; they a provided small tabletop fan for each bedroom but those were dusty and didn’t provide enough airflow to make sleeping comfortable. The utensils were in the drawer dirty (food remnants on them still) and we had to hand wash every knife, fork, and spoon before we could use them. Overall, we would choose Ship Watch again, but not this condo.

Nice place for a family beach trip!

This property is well stocked and easy to navigate. It is a nice place to stay for a family vacation. The pictures are accurate - so not the most updated feel - but clean and comfortable.

Great for small family

This is not a 5 star condo. It is a 5 star value Very Clean Easy Check-In/Check-Out Pool was nice and not too crowded Credit for rentals of beach gear and bikes was nice Near widest part of beach (This makes a difference because high tide completely covers other sections on the island) 5 minutes from Pier/Lighthouse/Village (Restaurants and Shops) Close to Parks/Playgrounds if travelling with kids Small Kitchen with everything we needed We Would Stay Here Again

Perfect for family

Property is exactly as pictured in listing. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of linens. Washer and dryer in unit. For the elderly or very young, the walk to the beach might be a little far. Personally, I love that the condo isn’t built right on beach and some natural area has been left. Overall, we were very pleased with our unit and the property as a whole.

Great Place

This place is great and the location is perfect. It’s not a five star place but I think that is made perfectly clear in the description. Someone did mention the people upstairs are very loud in a review, and that is true.

Nice place to stay

Place was bright and well decorated, clean, nicely furnished. The beach is beautiful, and the location is very convenient. We love St Simons for its history, beautiful beaches and nice restaurants. We highly recommend Fiddlers., which is within walking distance!

Everything was good in our room 204 until midnight when some comes alive in room 304! The noises and heel walking and thumping and the rearranging of furniture every night after midnight was enough to make a trip in enjoyable!
