"New, pretty neighborhood"

This cottage was built in August 2018. Super clean, and a great location.

Less than 400 steps from multiple beach accesses. Close to King & Prince, and Ocean Lodge. Walk to the village for shopping, eating, and entertainment. Sit outside on the porch and listen to the ocean. Close to Crabdaddy and Crab Trap. Bike rentals nearby.

Newly added in 2021: Whole house water filtration and softener system. Fresh and clean water. No need to bring bottled water. New screen porch.

Pet friendly. No smoking. Minimum of 3 nights $75 nonrefundable pet fee required. 50lb limit.

One bedroom, one bathroom, open kitchen with bar, brand new washer and dryer, built in day bed with a trundle. Sleeps 4. Covered front porch. Parking in front.

Includes dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, linens, towels, dishes, and fully equipped kitchen. 32" Smart TV in the bedroom and a 55" Smart TV in the living room. Free WiFi. The coffee maker is the filter (drip) type.

REMINDERS: This Cottage is attached to our main house. We use this Cottage frequently for our family and friends.
No smoking means no smoking inside or anywhere on the property. This includes vaping as well.
Please do not unplug the cables to either TV. Both have additional HDMI slots if you want to plug something in. We have had occasions where it was unplugged and not plugged back in and the next guest called about no TV service. This also causes the router to be reset.
Max is 4 persons.
Dog weight limit is strictly adhered to. Contact us if you have a question.
No early (4pm) or late check outs (10am) without prior approval.
We do not accept a reservation with a check in or check out the same day as another existing reservation. The reason is because we follow the protocols for Covid cleaning and it requires about 4 hours to clean. We simply cannot get this done and schedule the cleaner in time to meet the 4 pm time.
We ask that you follow these and the other guidelines.

We loved the Salty Dawg! Perfect size and everything we needed for our trip. Hosts were so cordial, helpful with minor concerns and gave great tips on how to maximize and enjoy our time! We loved St Simon’s!!

Mark couldn't have been nicer! Checking in was seamless. The location of the house was great. Easy parking and a walkable, quiet neighborhood. We felt safe, and it was easy to walk to our pups. The house was clean. The screened-in porch was a plus when traveling with dogs and unloading the car. The house had everything we needed.

This is the perfect property for a couple, with or without a child. The neighborhood is quiet and super safe, and the village, beach, and other activities are within walking distance (1mi). It is very well stocked with kitchen ware, linens, towels, “good” TP and paper towels (IYKYK!), and all the basics. My favorite part of the property is the owners tho! Robyn and Mark are super responsive and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is enjoyable. You won’t regret staying here!

July 4th on SSI!

This condo was great for our stay at St. Simons. The walk to the beach was short and quick! We loved the neighborhood and all of the oak trees that shaded the streets. Saving this rental for our next stay on the island.

We loved our time here. The location was perfect. We rented a golf cart and took it everywhere. So close to the beach, restaurants, etc. It was perfect for us and our pup. It is hard to tell from the description but this cottage is completely private from the main home. We highly recommend it. The host was exceptionally responsive to every question. We will be back for sure!!!

We loved our stay at The Salty Dawg Cottage! Amazing location, super comfortable bed and the rental looked even better in person, which never happens!! Host was amazing and even got us checked in a few hours early. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

Perfect Getaway!

This was our second time staying at the Salty Dawg Cottage and just like the first time everything was great! The property is clean and spacious all while being conveniently located close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The screened in porch is an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this rental and can’t wait to come back again!

Unbelieveable!

Robyn and Mark are lovely hosts and they maintain a perfect rental property. The location is awesome. The cottage is so clean, so well appointed, and equiped with everything you need. You really could not ask for a more perfect rental.

Great location wonderful host

Tastefully decorated and very clean, we loved the property. We were there for 16 days and never saw our host but she was responsive to our questions and supplemented with some kitchen equipment we needed. The beach is really close. The folks we met were kind. We walked to the village as well as the brewery the only reason we won’t return is our need for dining chairs instead of a counter

Sweet cottage

My husband and i have probably stayed at 30 VRBO’s. We loved this cottage. It was immaculate, the perfect size for us and our 13 pound little dog. The screen porch was our favorite space and all the neighbors were so friendly to us. A perfect getaway!!

Summer vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was so clean and had everything we needed. The screened in porch is a huge added bonus to this cottage. We dropped our beach stuff off on it each day. Kitchen appliances are very nice and the AC was nice and cold. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Amazing Vacation
