    Shiphouse 1 is the first floor at the landmark Shiphouse. Designed to resemble the hull of a ship, Shiphouse condominiums are exquisite oceanfront residences on St. Simons Island.

    On the ground level, an oceanfront pool provides a refreshing spot to read, relax or refresh after a day in the sand. You won't miss the ocean when you have spacious balconies, a rooftop deck, mesmerizing waves, ocean breezes and your own seaside pool.
    Enter your private residence from the outdoor staircase or shared elevator to be greeted with stunning ocean views to the east and four spacious bedrooms to the west. The living area features a space for dining, den and an open kitchen with gourmet appliances and island seating. The living area has 180 degree views and a wraparound balcony for enjoying the view and ocean breeze.
    Each of the four bedrooms has an en suite bath. The master bedroom is spacious with a King bed and the en suite has a garden soaking tub. The “children's bedroom” features two sets of bunk beds.
    This unit features hardwood floors throughout, detailed architectural finishes and beautiful furnishings.
    Atop the Shiphouse is a rooftop deck that spans the entire footprint of the house. The deck is a wonderful gathering spot that features tables and chairs for al fresco dining, a grilling area with running water, and a sitting area to take in the Atlantic Ocean views. Both the rooftop deck and pool are shared with guests renting the residence on the two floors above the first floor residence.
    During the summer months, The Shiphouse condos require all three floors to be rented for seven-night minimum stay with a Saturday-to-Saturday schedule only.
    Bedding Includes: 1 King, 2 Queens, 2 sets of bunk beds (twin over double).

Such a great getaway

Shiphouse 1 was perfect for us. We have four teenagers that like a little independence and staying at Shiphouse 1 allowed each of us to determine when we wanted to enjoy the beach, hang at the pool or head into the town square for a cup of coffee or a little shopping. Carey at Hodnett Cooper was so easy to work with. Her communication was so consistent and thorough we never had to worry about not being prepared. The property was beautiful and clean, and it had everything we needed for a week's stay. St. Simon's Island is a beautifully manicured island with a good mix of full-time residents and visitors, old stately properties and newer builds, and enough amenities without being overrun. It was a sweet, restful week for all of us.

Amazing Oceanfront Escape

This was a great get away for me, my wife and our 5 month old son. The living area and kitchen had an amazing view of the water and plenty of room to relax. We could easily access the beach and enjoyed the proximity to the restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

Perfect for our stay

Loved the layout and decor, had everything we needed. Great location on the beach with close by adorable small town feel shopping and excellent restaurants. Very clean and very nice, perfect side for 2 families of 4 and 2 grandparents with the kids in the bunk room. Loved st simons island also! Great stay for spring break!

Lots of space for all

We brought our adult daughter and grandkids and had a great time here. Lots of space for everyone and TVs in every bedroom. The view of the beach is wonderful and easily accessible. Very clean and well appointed. Biggest downside, but oh so minor - no vegetable peeler in kitchen.

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay here. It had plenty of room, amazing views and easy access & walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We would love to stay here again next year.

Gorgeous inside and out!!!

We had a girls trip here and it was incredible!!! Carey and James were the best hosts. The place is gorgeous and the water views are unbelievable!!! I would highly recommend this place for everyone.

The place was wonderful beautiful view, very relaxing

I was in saint Simmons island before in 2018 and had a great time , this visit surpassed that , will be coming back again and hopefully staying at the ship house again 👍🏼
