We had a memorable Memorial Day weekend...

... at the IRB Surf House with our kids and our dog. The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The freshly painted and remodeled property was beautiful and well thought out and you can see the water from almost every room. BrendaLee, the (10 star) property manager, was friendly, responsive and informative. We enjoyed using the kayaks, the beach and the local restaurants. It was easy to walk around. I only wish I rented a boat ahead of time to tie up out back during our stay.

An amazing 3 weeks at the Surfhouse

My partner and our dog stayed 3 weeks at this home. At various times we had between one and four family members join us. It was fun for everyone. The bedrooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The bathrooms are modern, and the hot water was plentiful for showers. The open concept kitchen and living area are large and comfortable for all to spend time together. Plus the backyard is very large and has tons of seating for eating and lounging. The backyard is sublime. The view of the inlet is the perfect backdrop to lazing around and spending time with family and friends. It’s also fenced, so the dog was happy and safe.We walked the ten minutes to Gulf Blvd many days to get to the Kookie Coconut (great sandwiches and ice cream) and a little further to Groupers (Grouper sandwiches of course). There are so many options for dining up and down the boulevard. We often elected to leave the car at the house and enjoy the walk.When we wanted to be active we spent our days biking, kayaking (right off the dock!) and going to the beach.The icing on the cake was our host Brendalee, who reached out before we arrived, greeted us upon arrival and checked in periodically by text to make sure we were 100% happy. She is a real hospitality professional! We had no issues, but if there had been, I know she could handle anything.The Surfhouse was just perfect for our group. I highly recommend it.

Great getaway spot at IRB

The IRB Surf House was as-advertised and if anything, better. Condition was spotless, check-in was seamless and very welcoming. Property manager BrendaLee met us at the house for a thorough run-through of everything we needed to know and was always available via phone/text throughout our stay any time we had a question or needed a recommendation for restaurants, bakeries, activities, etc. The waterfront is very special (and quiet) with frequent visits by dolphins and water fowl. 10-minute walk to the beach or the dog park. Single-story living and our senior dog loved not having steps into or out of the house. Comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, myriad water toys (beach gear, sponge boards, kayaks, etc.) and again, an exceptional patio area on the waterfront. We didn’t have a boat, but it’s not a stretch to imagine having one there. No complaints and we will definitely be back.

High quality, well-stocked vacation home

Property manager very responsive and friendly. At a quiet end of a cul-de-sac. Walkable to the beach. Well-stocked in many regards: kitchen essentials, grill, towels, beach gear, and entertainment (guitars, books, chess set, games). The large backyard facing the canal includes plentiful seating and a nice dining table. Room darkening window coverings in master bedroom were appreciated. Wind was consistently high during our stay which made the water current too strong for amateurs like us to take advantage of the provided kayaks and paddle boat.

Indian Rocks Beach Feb 2024

Great location, view and excellent response time from property manager. Very nice split plan with both master and guest room having king beds. Ten minute walk to beach and several restaurants within 15-20 minute walk as well. Good laundry room. Nice master shower; spa tub not yet 100% installed looks to be very nice. With price point, would have expected full utilization of the property……The garage and one side yard off limits to guests as well as half of the circular drive. Also given price point, the grounds and interior cabinets could use some decluttering. Overall, still give this place 4 out of 5 for location, water view and stellar response time from property manager.

We had the most fun at this vacation home+

Great place & super clean Loved the beachy decor Perfect for the 6 of us. We Loved the big patio right on the water! (Bigger than expected) Enjoyed grilling and eating by the water every day! We saw dolphin and almost touched one off the dock. The kayaks and peddle boat were a blast! We will definitely be staying here again! The property manager was very nice and suggested a couple great restaurants in town and she was spot on. Highly recommend 5 Stars

Great location

Tough to beat the location for the intercoastal view and proximity to great restaurants and beach access. On top of the amazing view, the house had all the amenities you could ask for. The outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable, and we loved having the Weber grill there for cooking.

Great south Florida getaway...

My family and I had a great time at this home, conveniently located close to the beach and the intercoastal is off the backyard. Home was clean and in good condition. The only suggestion I would make is for the kitchen to add a garbage disposal. The property manager, BrendaLee was great and very welcoming.

Lovely Home on Water with Fabulous Yard

We loved this property. Easy walk to restaurants, dog park, and beach. Master bedroom accommodations were top-rate! The fenced-in yard was perfect for our golden retriever. And the sour orange tree and fresh rosemary were an unexpected pleasure! Great patio for a bourbon sour (with the sour oranges) at the end of theday!

A short father and son get away.

Spent a very enjoyable 5 nights at the executive waterside cottage. Our contact for the rental was BrendaLee, who couldn’t be more helpful. BrendaLee is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. The house was very nice, just steps away from the private dock on a canal leading to the inter coastal. We were successful with a not to serious effort at fishing from the dock and enjoyed watching a family of dolphins swim feet from the dock. The tandem kayak got a good workout as did we. Near many very good restaurants and Indian Rocks Beach was a 10 min walk from the house. The house was well appointed with plenty of nearly new towels, all the cookware you would need and what looked like new, top of the line, LG washer and dryer. Check-in was seamless, actually getting in the house 30 min early. BrendaLee arrived shortly after getting settled in for a quick orientation to the house and had many restaurant recommendations depending on your mood. Will definitely stay there next time we come to the area.

Great outdoor space

We loved our stay, especially the outdoor space. We ate, paddled, fished, and relaxed. It was perfect for kids because it was fenced in. With the beautiful weather it was great to have an option to continue being outside even off the beach. The walk to the beach was a little longer than we thought (about half a mile). The house itself was clean and the kitchen well stocked. There was a strange smell in the master (maybe the carpet got wet at some point so consider putting tile down instead like the rest of the house). Overall a great week!

Exceptional Place! + Dolphins every day!

Surpassed our high expectations! The place was EXCEPTIONAL! Had everything you want for a great beach vacation! (including a kayak!!) The patio you see in their ad is even BETTER & MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON!! We really enjoyed the unforgettable water views and just relaxing looking at the water... We saw dolphin right at the dock!! (breath taking to see them so close!!) Very clean & the furnishings were beautiful! Overall, very very happy with this vacation rental, the property managers even had local visitor info for us / maps, restaraunt info, coupons etc when we checked In which was great since we were all hungry & ready to go find a good restaurant!! (Guppy's on the beach was superb.) Great location and extremely relaxing stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer! I highly recommend!! 10 stars! Looking forward to our next stay!!

Great location.

We enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk to the beach was worth it, and Brenda Lee was great to deal with. Overall it was a good experience,and we recommend the place. Couple of negatives for the owner to consider to make it an even better experience: upgrade the furniture (its ok, but worn); get rid of the van parked at the house with a For Sale sign, repair the carpeting in the master bedroom, and maybe reconsider whether to make this pet friendly, as we found animal hairs on the comforter to the master bedroom.

Great fun!

We decided to book this trip last minute and VRBO was so helpful and responsive to all of our needs (Thank you Brendalee!). The house was exactly as advertised.We ended up doing quite a bit of fishing off the dock connected to the back. It was wonderful. We even saw several dolphins during our trip. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, Peaceful, and Mesmerizing! What more can I say?

BrendaLee (the property Host) is “Joy” defined. She is one of the most kind, caring, and attentive, individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The home, location (inter-coastal), and setting, beat a rental on the beach any day of the week. Very peaceful, great sunsets, saw dolphin everyday and even caught fish off the dock! The great room has loads of natural light and mesmerizing views of the water. Friendly neighbors, and at the same time very private. To sum it up - we stayed for two weeks and then ended up extending it another week. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
