HISTORIC UPTOWN Beachy Guesthouse walkable to DT

Welcome to our newly renovated beachy boho 2nd floor guesthouse in Historic Uptown. This 1 bedroom (Queen bed), 1 bath is an easy walk, bike, or short drive to St Pete downtown restaurants, bars, microbreweries, antique shops, museums, live entertainment and so much more. Central Ave is less than a mile and the beach is a 20 minute drive away. This centrally-located, quiet, and peaceful space includes Wi-Fi, 55" smart TV, fully stocked kitchen, and 1 dedicated compact parking space.
The space
The space was designed to feel light, bright, and airy while including lots of colorful artwork reflecting beautiful Florida. It has just been completely renovated and has lots of windows providing plenty of natural light throughout. The apartment is on the smaller side but was designed to maximize existing space and has everything you will need for your stay.
The bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed with soft 100% cotton linens, fluffy pillows, and a full-length mirror to help you get ready for your day or night out. Most of the windows are older and thin, so we included a small white noise machine in the bedroom nightstand in case any of the normal neighborhood activity is a disturbance to your sleep.
The apartment kitchen is equipped with brand new full-sized appliances including gas range, microwave, and fridge as well as an oversized deep sink, toaster, K-cup coffee maker and coffee pods, pots, pans, basic cooking tools, wine opener, salt, pepper, and evoo. We also have cling wrap, foil, baggies, paper products, and cleaning supplies. There is a small dining nook / 2nd work area that seats 1 person.
The living room features a 55" LG smart TV with Netflix. It also has a desk, rolling chair, and router (with an accessible ethernet port on the router) to be used as a dedicated workspace. The desk lamp has a wireless phone charging pad. Super fast Wi-Fi throughout. There are new remote controlled ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. The sofa in the living room opens up to sleep an additional person but does not have a pullout mattress. It is more futon style and simply folds flat. It is technically a bed, but of course the queen bed is far more comfortable for an adult to sleep on.
We've got you covered with all those little extras you may have forgotten at home including: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, qtips, cotton balls and wipes, blow dryer, first aid supplies, etc.
There are 2 beach towels and beach chairs supplied so you are ready to hit the beach when you arrive.
There is a shared laundry room in the semi fenced-in backyard with Costco pods and fabric sheets marked "AIRBNB".
Enter through the rear of the property via the alley to access the dedicated compact parking spot underneath the garage overhang. You will need to parallel park in this spot. There is also additional free street parking in the front of the house. The apartment is 1 flight of stairs and above the detached garage (which is used for laundry and storage only). There is a small patio with a pink table and chairs in the small partially fenced backyard area. The table and chairs are shared and it is in a breezeway area where other guests may walk by. Please always keep gates closed.
Cleanliness is a priority for me, so the apartment is professionally cleaned and you will see many of the guests mention how clean the place is in their reviews.
We welcome well-behaved dogs under 75 lbs. 1 dog maximum per visit. If you don't 100% trust your dog in this newly renovated space, please bring along a crate or do not leave the dog unattended in the guesthouse. No dogs allowed on beds, furniture, or linens.
Guest access
There is 1 dedicated compact parking spot underneath the garage overhang (you will need to parallel park in this spot). This unit is very close to downtown making additional street parking in the surrounding area a bit difficult. The particular street this house located isn't too bad and there is usually a free parking spot available on the same block (in case you have a 2nd car to park). I highly recommend a scooter or bike to get around.
Other things to note
This apartment is above a garage and has no shared walls making it a very private space. However, being this close to downtown, buildings are closer together. The apartment is close to 9th Ave and it is possible to faintly hear some cars driving. There are some condos next door and the occupants park their cars near this unit. Occasional car doors opening and closing will be heard. None of the noise is very loud, but I want to be transparent for those light sleepers or those not used to city life. Since the bedroom windows are thin and older, we included a small white noise machine in the bedroom in case any of the normal neighborhood activity is a disturbance to your sleep. Some of the older windows don't stay all the way open, but there are new windows in the kitchen and bath that function perfectly.
This property is managed by the owner (that's me) so you can be sure the place is spotless and well loved.
For those with severe fragrance allergies, I want to disclose that there is a plug in air freshener in the apartment. You are welcome to unplug this while you are staying in the unit. We also use standard cleaning products which contain fragrance. And the linens are washed with standard laundry detergent and dryer sheets which also have fragrance.
