Our group of three stayed at the Nash on a recent trip to St Louis. The loft was clean and well appointed, but the vibe and decor was “dark,” with metal music playing at the entrances, concrete floors, exposed ceilings and black and cream color scheme. Black/charcoal shades were semipermeable and streetlights readily shined through. Regarding the beds, the memory foam mattresses were overly firm, some of us found them uncomfortable. There was no street life during the day but nights were pretty loud with local bars and a rock concert venue to the west, if that’s what you're looking for. Our sleep was not the best. The neighborhood to the east seemed abandoned. The nearby Fountain on Locust restaurant / ice cream bar was exceptionally cool. The location was near St. Louis University’s east end. The check in and check out were organized but required so many steps I felt I was solving a puzzle, like I was doing the Amazing Race. It was expensive for what we got. Some might like it but it wasn’t for us.
