We are centrally located so it's great for getting to major city sites easily by car. The area is a good mix of old classic brownstones and new development. There is a great restaurant a few blocks away called Have A Cow Restaurant and a grocery store and small shopping center 1/2 mile east but otherwise not many shops/restaurants within walking distance. Lots of free street parking out front and a gravel parking pad next to the building so no worries there.

Yes! Our neighborhood is among the safest in St. Louis (reference: Trulia crime stats). We've lived here for several years with no issues. Please know that the area is very safe and nowhere near the areas (North and East St. Louis) that you hear about in the news. That said, it is a city neighborhood, not gated suburb and you'll find a wonderful melting pot of old homes, new development and diverse neighbors.
The whole apartment is yours! We live in the unit next door. We won't disturb you but are always available if you need anything during your stay.

Noise: We are located near the highway so you will notice minor car noise while outside and very lightly from the inside when the room is quiet. It won't be an issue for most but something to note for those who are very sensitive to background noises. Turning on the fan or provided white noise machine will mitigate the sound if that is a concern. Safety & Security: For your safety and the security of the property, exterior security cameras are installed and actively monitoring the outside areas. Privacy Respected: An indoor noise decibel monitor is in place to help us ensure the no-party rule is respected. Please be assured this device ONLY measures sound levels and does NOT record any audio or conversations, fully protecting your privacy. Check-In Details: Your unique door code for the smart lock will be sent to you via the app on the evening before your arrival. All TVs are set to Roku Guest mode, allowing you to log into your own streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+, then select a checkout date. On that date, Roku automatically logs you out and clears your personal information.

Gem of a property
We absolutely loved the Longfellow! The stairs going up to the unit were a surprise, but the trip up was so worth it! This unit has been lovingly restored, was so clean, and there was even a Christmas tree set up by the fireplace! Plenty of towels and linens, and we didn’t even notice the Highway sounds while sleeping. This will be our new go to place for trips to St Louis!

Joe and his family were the most amazing hosts. The apartment has absolutely everything that you would need for an extended stay or short-term. Our family of 8 stayed for four nights and felt like it was our home. We were close to everything, in a very safe neighborhood, and loved to call this place our home while traveling.

Great stay for family
This property had great space for a family to spread out and stay comfortably. It was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but close to pretty much everything in downtown St Louis. Highway noise was noticeable but not disruptive. Host was responsive and was able to get us in when the provided door code didn't work upon arrival. We will likely stay here again!

Great Location!
We were in St. Louis for an event at the Enterprise Center and this VRBO was a quick drive there and back. It was clean and well stocked with towels and bedding for the futon & pullout couch. We did not use the kitchen since we only stayed one night. There was a great breakfast restaurant, Have a Cow, within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Pull out couch not in good condition.
My spouse and I slept on the pull out had to sleep at bottom of pullout bc it was very sunk in on the top. To the point that our feet were higher than our heads even while using pillows. The extra mattress pad was very helpful. The house was very clean and you can tell the manager was very thoughtful in keeping things that are needed for a nice experience.
