Salt and battery by the sea escape

"Salt & Battery" is St. John's newest vacation home nestled into the cliffs of Signal Hill which has panoramic views of the city, the harbor and the narrows of the Atlantic. This brand new stunning home with its vibrant colors and coastal decor is walking distance to everything that St. John's has to offer and more.
As our guests you will have full and private access to this newly renovated and fully equipped home. The open concept floor plan and oversized windows floods the space with natural light and offers undescribable views. With a top-of-the-line kitchen you can have the option to cook at home or sample Newfoundland cuisine at the array restaurants within walking distance. In addition, the second storey deck is the perfect place to sit and unwind all while taking in the breathtaking views of the city (out-door seating available from May to October). Please note that there is a BBQ on the premises but this is NOT available to guests because of insurance purposes. With 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a pullout couch this house can very comfortably sleep 6. We can also accommodate parents travelling with small children. Pack n Play and Highchair available upon request.

I cannot say enough of this place. It was all about perfection to every detail. It was comforting to know I had resources available ax I recently started to travel solo. It was extremely comfortable and everything was available at your disposal. It left me enjoying my time there without having to struggle with unexessary inconveniences. Thank you to my Hosts for making my experience unforgetable. Love the decor and cokor coordination within the home. It was calming and eye appealing.

Perfect property

This property was perfect for walking to all of the attractions that St. John’s has to offer….the proximity to the harbour provides a beautiful view and lots of activity surrounding the ships in port…..staying in a house at the base of Signal Hill was a treat….the house is just as it appears in the photos and the hosts were attentive to all of our needs.

We had a wonderful stay at a beautiful property. The description was spot-on and if anything, they over-delivered. Everything we could ask for in a perfect location. Close to downtown, right on the harbour, walkable to Signal Hill. For us too as a three adult family group (mom, dad, daughter), it was a big plus to have 2 equally sized and furnished bedrooms, large fully equipped kitchen, two washrooms, a living room and a deck.

Perfect place to stay

Had everything we needed and more. Weather was warmer than usual but there were plenty of fans to keep us comfortable. Great location, and can’t beat the view from the deck.

Exceeded my expectations

Beautiful decor, comfy beds, and clean clean clean. Above and beyond, providing small snacks like granola bars and fruit snacks to make up remover pads and wet wipes in the bathroom. Bedrooms had plenty of extra linens and a toasty quilt you could add to the bed if your a little chilly. Easy access to the signal hill trails. Overall, I’d give this place and host a 12 out 10. :-)

Fine details and finishing touches

We spent 9 days in this cozy, bright, and relaxing space. I can't say enough good about the house, the check-in process, all the small details and literally everything you could think of that you might need for your stay. Would highly recommend Salt and Battery to anyone and we will be staying here in the future. What a great spot

Perfect Location in St John’s

My wife and I just spent three nights at this property and it was hands down one of the best ones we have ever used. It was a great location for boat watching in the busy St. John’s harbour as well as for quickly jumping onto the Signal Hill hiking trails. The place was completely stocked with everything you would need and was very clean and nicely set up. Thanks for a great stay and would hope to return in the future.

Beautiful property! The decorating was absolutely amazing. Worked out perfect for 2 couples, sitting out watching the freighters coming into the harbour was great and interesting. Location, location, location. I highly recommend this vacation spot. You will not be disappointed.

This was our 1st VRBO rental. The whole process was seamless. The hosts went above and beyond what I expect are the necessary requirements for a rental. St-John’s stay / Séjour à St-John’s

Great accommodation with a view of the harbor, just 10 minutes walk from the city center and Signal Hill. It's all there down to the smallest details. Strongly recommended! Magnifique logement avec une vue sur le port a seulement 10 minutes de marche du centre ville et de Signal Hill. Tout y est dans les moindres détails. Fortement recommandé!
