Special** Rhoda's Place is a cozy, welcoming two-bedroom apartment, with laundry, in downtown St. John’s, a quick 15 minutes from St. John's International Airport - perfectly situated just steps from our best restaurants, lively nightlife. This prime location offers easy, under 10 minute walking distance access to George Street, The Convention Centre and the historic charm of the St. John's core. This space is an ideal base for exploring the St. John's' vibrant, colourful downtown atmosphere.
Those steps may go downhill, which is easy; uphill back? This depends - there are also plenty of Uber and Taxi's available at a reasonable rate.
As you step into Rhoda's living room, you'll find a space carefully arranged to promote relaxation and comfort. A smart TV is ready for entertainment, while a selection of books and games are thoughtfully placed for your enjoyment.
Primary bedroom features a dreamy Queen-sized bed and a full closet for all your unpacking and settling in needs. As well, this bedroom offers access to the private, fully fenced backyard - and through there access to your own laundry room, strictly for your use during your stay.
The secondary bedroom offers a comfy Double-sized bed and smaller closet with generous space to move around and make your own.
Rhoda's kitchen is thoughtfully equipped and fully functional. It includes essential items like full stove/ oven, fridge, dish cloths, towels, cutlery and kitchen tools, a microwave, and a toaster, ensuring you have all the assistance necessary to prepare meals with ease.
You have a dedicated dining area designed for meals, but it’s also flexible enough to double as a space for games, puzzles, or a simple, functional desk setup for work when needed—making it a versatile hub for dining, play, and productivity during your stay.
A short drive away is:
* Signal Hill featuring iconic Cabot Tower
* Quidi Vidi Village with hiking trails, eating and sightseeing attractions; some are seasonal (like cod jigging with 'QV Charters')
* The Rooms, iconic museum/ shop/ restaurant with best views of the city (5 minute walk uphill)
* The Postmasters Bakery, simply superb (7 minute walk uphill)
* Coffee Matters and more, are all within easy walking distance or a short drive from your home away from home.
We offer one complimentary on-street parking pass - usually available right outside your door, just a few steps away for easy unloading and access.
We do ask that this parking pass be returned at the end of your stay or we must charge 100$ for replacement cost.

St. John’s is widely regarded as safe, especially compared to larger urban centers, but as in any downtown city area, it's wise to stay aware of your surroundings—particularly at night or on busy streets like George Street.
Use common sense; lock doors at all times, avoid isolated areas after dark and enjoy the city’s dynamic charm with joy and confidence.
Rhoda's Place is one apartment unit in a triplex, and we kindly ask all guests to be considerate of neighbors to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.
Guests should purchase their own VRBO Travel Protection insurance for their stay or for in the case of emergency cancelation. We do honour our clearly stated cancelation policy.
Guests must provide a government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license) to confirm their identity upon booking.
Legalese: The Guest and any of their guests hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner and Property Manager against all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the premises regardless of the nature of the incident, injury, or loss. The Guest expressly recognizes that any insurance for property damage or loss which the Owner may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of the Guest.
