Starting Jan 1, 2025, this villa be only be available for stays 25 days or longer at an excellent nightly rate. Stays of 91 days or longer do not pay occupancy taxes.

This lovely, newly remodeled, 2 bedroom condo is located in the beautiful gated community of St.James in Southeastern NC! Southern Winds is a comfortable, spacious, 2nd floor condo with all the comforts of home! From the fully stocked kitchen to the luxurious and comfortable bedrooms! Unwind & relax at the pool, take a stroll along the miles of walking trails, enjoy a meal at the St James Marina, venture to Historic Southport or one of the local, white sand beaches! Southern Winds is waiting for you.

Unit has a Private Balcony, Sleeps 4 – Bedroom 1: King Size Bed, TV, EnSuite; Bedroom 2: King Size Bed, TV, EnSuite; Villa Kitchen has: Coffee Maker, Electric Kettle, Blender, Toaster, Crock Pot, Refrigerator; Living Area has: Sofa and 2 Chairs, Large Smart TV (Streaming/Extended Cable), Games/Puzzles, Sliding Glass Door to Balcony; Full Sized Washer/Dryer, Iron & Ironing Board; Nature Trails; On Oak Island: Iconic Landmark, OKI Lighthouse (tours available - Schedule Ahead); Restaurants/Shopping/Grocery, 2 Piers, Gym (Daily/Weekly drop-ins); Outdoor Concert Venue with Food Trucks (Seasonal); Splash Pad (Seasonal); Farmer’s/Craft Markets (Seasonal); 2 OKI Piers & the Quaint Town of Southport, all are a short drive away. At the Marina is Shopping, a Pharmacy, a Ship’s Store & the Beacon 315 restaurant, with a Tropical Bar, serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Transient Docking is available at the Marina. Woodlands Park has Nature & Biking Trails - keep your eyes out for a variety of Wildlife to enjoy watching on these trails; Waterfront Park (within Walking Distance) has a Covered Picnic area with Grills, Kayak Launch, Bocce Ball, Volleyball, Playground, Fitness Trails & Fishing Pier over the ICW with a Gazebo; Southport & Oak Island offer Boat, Kayak & Bike Rentals. The St. James Private Oceanfront Beach Club on Oak Island is just 12 minutes away. There is On Street Paid Parking, a Dedicated Beach Access with Foot Showers, Community Saltwater Pool (Seasonal), Covered Picnic Area at the Pavilion, as well as Restrooms, Showers & Changing Facilities.

Access to the 4 Golf courses in St James are not included with the rental as these are all private. However there are several excellent public golf courses within a short drive including the Oak island Golf Club and Carolina National.

Beautiful!

The condo is so well decorated. We were there during the rain and flooding, and it still provided a fun and cozy experience. The place was well equipped and clean. Wonderful remodel!

Not smoke free

Condo is definitely not smoke free. Came home with all belongings covered in smoke odors. In a very safe gated area. Clean on the inside. Beach/access codes at the club house are worthless, no keypad there. Pool was great. No hair dryer or iron as advertised.

We would certainly stay again

My family and I love St.James Plantation. The condo was clean and organized. The pool was within walking distance. The kitchen had all the basics. If you need Tupperware, bring your own. None available at the condo. Beds were comfortable, pillows were firm so we will bring our own next time, and lots of extra blankets. We had an issue with the washer, it would not finish the cycle. There were lots of wasp nests on the balcony. They said it would be sprayed for the next guests so hopefully no one else has any issues. Lastly, having the pool clubhouse and bathrooms next to the beach was far the best part. The new code for this year is 1345. The one they sent me was from last year and did not work. We will be back next year!

Beautifully decorated & comfortable, but bugs & maintenance issues

The condo looks just like the pictures, including it was clean. The furniture was comfortable and the appliances all worked. We had several unfortunate issues that detracted from our experience. There was a water leak from the condo above ours that dripped water into our kitchen through the light in the ceiling. We found a cockroach in the cabinet with the plates, and a wasp nest on the deck that prevented us from using the chairs out there. We found these on the 4th of July and checked out of the condo on the 5th, so these were not resolved for us, but iTrip did state that they would look into these. Our experience not very great, but these may be resolved for yours.
