Islands View Condo- Waterfront

NO PETS- NO SMOKING. Beautiful newer 2 bedroom, 1 bath end unit directly on Lake Huron overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. Located in historic St. Ignace, this lovely open and airy getaway is steps from a Great Lake with views of Mackinac Island as well as other area islands. Close to the boat lines, casino, and so many regional and popular vacation destinations. A small private deck is a great spot to witness the incredible morning sunrises and catch all the daily activity of Straits activity including freighters passing through the shipping channel.

Each bedroom has a new queen mattress. There is a shared bathroom and a stackable washer/dryer. The open great room has a nice kitchen with coffee maker, blender, dishes, pans, etc., counter bar, electric fireplace, comfortable bar stools, smart TV and walkout to deck. This is a main-level unit with no stairs and direct car access to the unit. Located directly across from the area hospital. Call for off-season availability for longer-term stays, and corporate or work-related lodging. Motel construction is happening across from the property- projected to continue through May 2024.

Nice apartment, like we expected it to be. Only issue is that it would have been nice to know that there is major hotel construction 75 feet from your door with a lot of noise (constant back up beeping) 7 am to 7 pm. We would have chosen somewhere else if we had known. Problem will probably go away by next year.

Perfect little spot on the lake
The rental unit was great, just as advertised. Clean and perfect for our needs. Only negative was the construction going on next door. The workers continually parked their work trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment in the spots for the rental unit and on the grass, even after I spoke with them about it.

Wonderful location - Wrong Timing
Was very excited to stay in this rental for a long Memorial Day weekend but wasn’t told about the seasonal spring mayfly bloom before arriving and had never experienced it before. Swarms of mayflies everywhere outside so we couldn’t use the porch or picnic area which was a big bummer. The inside of the rental was as pictured but we felt not a cleanly as it could be with some cobwebs, yucky looking pillows, and a bathtub with drainage issues. Also experienced some modem issues but the owner brought us a hotspot which was nice!

Beautiful VRBO unit with great view. Close to ferries. However, the midges (insects) were horrible. It would have been nice to have been warned. I guess for a few weeks every spring they come. They do not bite, but you cannot sit outside near water. Also, there is wifi but no internet, even when signed onto wifi. Overall, I would go back to the same unit, but not in May.

Location, Location, Location
Great stay, stunnning views of Lake Huron. You're literally on the water, it's incredible. You get the beautiful sunrise every morning over Mackinac Island. you are less than 2 miles from the Family Fare grocery store, the ferries, and downtown shopping. Be sure to check out the Zodiac Party Store Pasty shop. YUM! Beds were very comfortable, very clean and comfortable interior. Great kitchen and supplies for making meals. Nice washer and dryer available along with a dishwasher. The smart TV was very nice too with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. available without logging into our own. Checkin process was super easy, door keypad. The Management company called us to let us know the code changed one more time, which was very nice. as a heads up it's a 906 area code :) The only thing that was off was the amount of spiders and bugs we had to kill throughout our stay. The location of the apartment is actually at the end of a business strip mall, so it confused us when we were looking for the property. It looks like it was converted from an insurance firm office to an apartment, but it's so nice!

Perfect Couple retreat
This was a perfect place to celebrate our up coming anniversary. The town had a number of great places to eat and close to activities. We would definitely stay here again and visit St Ignace. 😊

Perfect place for our vacation
We had a great experience in this condo. Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, good amount of space, washer and dryer were a huge plus, great location on the water (although the complex it was in was not the nicest), and great location in terms of easy access to travelling to the places we wanted to see. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.
