St. Andrews Beach Home

Enjoy panoramic ocean views from a contemporary waterfront home. Wake up with the sunrise and go to sleep listening to the waves of Passamaquoddy Bay (Bay of Fundy). Spend the day beach combing, kayaking, diving or just sitting on the deck and watching the tide. Curl up with Netflix in our upstairs entertainment area or have an outdoor fire at night & star gaze. 10 min drive to St. Andrews / 35 min drive to New River Beach. Perfect for multiple couples, families, or a girls/guys getaway.

Equipped with a Generac generator and Starlink high-speed internet service.

Upstairs: Primary bedroom is oversized with King bed and ensuite (shower). Double sliding doors (not soundproof) open into the large entertainment area with extra large sectional couch and wall-mounted TV.

Main floor: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open concept kitchen, dining and living room. Space is comfortable with lots of windows - plenty of light & views.

Please note: upper floor is large but loft style so sound will travel. The main staircase has open back stairs - just something to be aware of if you have little ones.

Kitchen is outfitted with absolutely everything you need to cook and BBQ and dining table seats 8.

We are on a septic tank so only supplied septic safe toilet paper can be flushed. Other toilet paper or other items will cause damage.

EXTERIOR: House is located on nearly 3 beautiful acres, with a rock escarpment on your right & a distant neighbour to your left. The property slopes down to rocky Cunningham Beach - a quiet spot used by locals for diving. Sea kayaker? Bring or rent a kayak and paddle out to Hospital Island nature reserve for some SPECTACULAR bird watching. For those visiting from outside the area - this is a cold water beach with a significant tide. For those looking to swim, Katy's Cove, a warm saltwater beach, is publicly accessible and an 11 minute drive away.

This is a great, quiet place to get away. Has all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay and is within minutes of great restaurants, walks, kayaking, groceries etc. Highlights: the perimeter trail on Ministers Island, paddling on Passamaquoddy Bay, the walk up Chamcook Mountain and dinner at the Rossmount Inn and the Kingsbrae Gardens in St. Andrews.

Beautiful and secluded

Beautiful and secluded property on the outskirts of St. Andrews. Large open living and kitchen area with big deck overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay. There is a road leading down to a small beach as well. Property was very clean and communication with owner was great

A Wonderful Seaside Getaway

My wife and I spent a long weekend with friends at the property. Everything was as promised. The interior was spotless when we arrived. Kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, everything that you would need to cook on property. All of the furniture is comfortable and in like new condition. Views to the ocean are lovely and the property is tucked away in a quiet location. Deer do occasionally stroll by. House is also equipped with a full house backup generator which came in handy one morning as the electric utility went out. Nice fire pit with great Adirondack chairs and unlike many properties, complete with an ample firewood supply. The host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property and we hope to return again some time soon!

relaxing stay at the Shorebird

I would highly recommend The Shorebird as a place to vacation and rejuvenate. It is a beautiful home, complete with everything needed to make your stay a memorable one in the best possible way Lovely and relaxing with incredible views of the water and so close to St.Andrews. A relaxing " home away from home"

This property was well-stocked, clean, quiet, and beautifully scenic. The location is private but convenient. It had just the right amount of seclusion while being close to any amenities you might need. The beautiful sunrises were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Property

This home is a 5 star+. The view from the front deck was incredible. We were even entertained by a fireworks display from across the bay. Everything in the house was top quality from the furnishings, beds, bathrooms and the very functional kitchen area. Everything we needed to make a couple of meals was there. The house itself is laid out so well with the TV lounge upstairs, everyone had a space to relax. The first impression of a rental unit is its appearance and the house was spotless

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed everything about this cottage! It was very clean, spacious, and equipped with anything we might need. There was an amazing view of the Bay of Fundy. We saw deers crossing the lawn and in the area every day, and also a couple porcupines. The location, a short drive from St. Andrews, was convenient for picking up necessities and enjoying the excellent restaurants. We hope to visit again!

Perfect getaway!

We had a fabulous three nights at this beach home. Our two boys loved searching the beach for sea glass, and the location was really convenient for trips into town. We saw a lot of deer and several bald eagle pairs, and enjoyed this peaceful house overlooking the ocean. What a great getaway!

Breathtaking spot with unbelievable views

This beautiful house is wonderfully equipped and perfectly laid out to enjoy every activity. Nearly every spot in the house has a spectacular view of Passamaquoddy Bay. Sunrises are breathtaking and the skyline and shore change in fascinating ways hour by hour. The rocky beach is fun to explore with kids. Just be careful: the rocks can be slippery. The location is very close to St. Andrews and not far from Saint Stephen, Saint George, and Back Bay where you can find fabulously fresh seafood. The kitchen is a cook’s dream! It’s well appointed and organized with everything you need to prepare meals. It was as if someone had thought through everything we might possibly need and made sure it was there! Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out and also come together to play games and watch movies. We would have loved to stay for a month or more!

Perfect getaway

I have been renting homes for the last 22 years this house and property was the best yet. Absolutely spotless, roomy and so comfortable. Beautiful loft upstairs that fit all of us one on one comfy sofa. It was excellent for scary movie nite. The ocean just steps away, we played on floaties all day like kids again. The wrap around deck was spectacular, shaded on one side for me to stay out of the sun while my sisters soaked up the sun out front watching the boats all day. Beautiful home, clean, private on the ocean. Just the perfect home. Thank you our host Justin he was amazing.
