Welcome to our quaint 1932 Bissman Cottage! ❤️ Our adorable carthage stone cottage offers 3 full bedrooms and 2 baths. Bissman Cottage comfortably sleeps 6 adults. Tesla charging station in the garage for those of you with EV’s at a minimal price for your convenience❣️ The Master bedroom offers a king size bed and an adjoining "Sweet Dreams" room in the gable of the master bedroom with a built in crib and twin bed for those who have small children. There are 2 additional bedrooms both with queen size beds. I have had many requests for an additional sleeping space to accommodate 8 guests. Therefore, we now offer an additional queen size bed for overflow. Located in the Basement/Laundry area for your convenience. There is an additional fee of $25.00 per night for the extra space. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 adults not counting the extra space. For guests over 6 there ia an additional fee is $25.00 each per night with a maximum of 8 guests. Our Bissman Cottage is located adjacent to historic downtown Springfield and popular Rountree neighborhood. Located a few blocks from JQH Arena, Missouri State, Drury, Evangel, Springfield Cardinals Hammons field, Juanita K Hammons Performing Arts, Mercy Hospital, Wonders of Wildlife, Bass Pro Shops and the Vibrant and Historic downtown area within walking distance of the new Tie & Timber Brewery around the corner on Cherry! Completely remodeled! Located in a lovely neighborhood that is very safe for walking. Many historical homes. Close to historical downtown with many wonderful restaurants and pubs. We have provided 6 adult size bicycles for your enjoyment located in the 2 car garage in which we provide for your parking. Please lock bikes together while you are out and about. There is a combination lock to be shared. Combination code is 1567. The cottage has a gas grill for barbecuing and an outdoor table and chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. There is outdoor cushions in the garage on the work bench.. The home is to be accessed from the back door which has a combination lock that will be supplied prior to check in. The cottage has a shared driveway so please use garage for parking and be courteous not to block the neighbors to the left for ingress and egress. Street parking is allowed. I do supply complimentary coffee. The trash can is in the kitchen under the sink. Large trash cans are in the garage. There is a washer and dryer in the basement for your convenience. There are additional towels and sheet in the hall linen cabinet both upstairs and downstairs. The additional wash cloths and hand towels are in the black glass top table in upstairs bath for that bathroom. I have provided a window fire escape to the upstairs linen closet. There is a fire extinguisher in the lower bathroom linen closet. I ask that on the last day before checking out that you take all used sheets, pillow cases and towels to the laundry room downstairs. Enjoy your stay and please don't move the furniture around. Feel free to text or call me with any and all questions.

Great, quaint home. We love historic homes and the areas they are in. This home is in a great Springfield location! It was close to our daughter’s home and gave us the extra space we needed for family over the holidays! The beds were very comfy.Bonus…It’s very walkable to the local spots and brewery which is a plus!

My daughter had a reaction to the detergent used in the house and the spray that was used on the furniture. I didn’t mind the spray but the detergent smell was strong. In addition the master bed slopes down towards the head so my husband had to sleep on the couch. Other than that it was a cute place and met all of our needs.

This was our first time at the Bissman Cottage, and we were not disappointed. The house was immaculately maintained inside and out with exceptional furnishings. It's a perfect central location within a nice neighborhood. Our host (Cindy) was extraordinary in communicating and reaching out to make sure we were happy. We visit Springfield about 3 times a year, and we have found our new go-to place to stay. An absolutely delightful place to stay.

Adorable cotfage

Stayed here for our daughter’s wedding-from out of town in texas! Farm table was awesome to do all the flowers. Beds very comfy, walking distance to cute bars and live music! Big fridge, more than adequate kitchen, nice gathering rooms-only one complaint—extremely hot bedrooms upstairs-to be expected for a historical home…but not easy to sleep with extreme temps.

Tennis in Springfield

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was minutes from the tennis facility that my kids were playing a tournament at. The host was responsive and very easy to deal with. The beds were so comfortable. We would stay here again.

Pleasant Cottage Perfect for a Family

We stayed a week at the cottage. Everything was exactly as pictured online, with the peaceful fountain flowing at the front of the property. The old charm of the house made for a cozy and inviting place to be all week. The house is close to lots of great restaurants, groceries, shopping, and attractions. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Clean and cozy

The cottage was beautiful and decorated for Christmas which was unexpected but really appreciated. Everything was clean and functional. There's a little kid entrance to a kids sleep area which is adorable. Host was easy to reach, although we really didn't have any problems. Would definitely stay here again, esp during holidays with family.

What a gorgeous cottage that was beautifully decorated, very clean and cozy!!! Sits in a very nice, safe neighborhood within walking distance of some really cute food and drink shops. I would highly recommend staying there if ever visiting Springfield.

Magical Cottage

My family and I rented this lovely place for about 5 days to have fun in the area. It was just lovely. We bought our four children, and it was just great. The place was very clean and well kept. We had plenty of space. I thought it was great!!!
