TWO BEATIFUL CABINS IN THE HEART OF RECREATION:

  • Este alquiler VBRO tiene dos cabinas en la misma propiedad.
    La cabina principal de 3 dormitorios duerme 6 cómodamente.
    La casa de huéspedes de 2 dormitorios duerme cómodamente 4. (Consulte la descripción más detallada de los dormitorios más adelante en este resumen).
    También tenemos cunas y colchones de aire para uso de los huéspedes.
    Solo alquilamos a un grupo a la vez para que tenga total privacidad durante su estadía.
    Temporada de verano / otoño:
    La cabina principal se alquila por $ 345 por noche - ocupación máxima 6 personas.. (También hay camas en nuestra casa de huéspedes con capacidad para 6 personas @ $ 40 por noche por persona).
    Solo alquilaremos ambas unidades cuando la ocupación total sea de al menos 8 personas o por un costo total de $ 425 por noche.
    En la foto de arriba, la cabina principal está en el lado izquierdo de la foto (los precios son más bajos y las estancias mínimas son de solo 2 días durante la temporada de otoño).
    La casa de huéspedes está en el extremo derecho encima del garaje.
    Ambas unidades tienen nuevas actualizaciones modernas que incluyen electrodomésticos, baños y cocinas. Nunca alquilamos a más de un grupo a la vez, por lo que puede alquilar solo la cabina principal o la cabina y la casa de huéspedes, dependiendo de la cantidad de personas que tenga en su grupo.
    La gente máxima en la cabina es 6. El máximo de personas en ambas unidades es 12.

    Ambas cabañas están completamente amuebladas, con todas las comodidades modernas. El precio es "TODO INCLUIDO" (lo que significa que el uso de los barcos y el muelle de 60 pies están incluidos en las tarifas diarias). También puede traer su propio bote, usar el aterrizaje público a dos cuadras de distancia y usar nuestro muelle sin costo adicional.     Esta propiedad está situada en el hermoso lago Lower McKenzie en el condado de Washburn, Wisconsin. La propiedad y el lago están en el medio del bosque del condado de Washburn. También estamos rodeados por docenas de otros lagos, y el hermoso río Namekagon (Howell Landing) está a solo 4 millas de nuestra propiedad. Piragüismo, kayak, tubos interiores y natación son los pasatiempos favoritos en el río.
    La pesca es excelente en el lago Lower Mckenzie y en los lagos circundantes en invierno y verano.
    Estamos en una playa de arena, excelente piscina, con un muelle privado para su barco. El muelle y la zona de baño están separados por más de 100 pies de costa.
    El embarcadero público está a solo 1/4 de milla de nuestra casa por agua y solo 2 millas por tierra. Si desea traer su propio bote / pontón, tenemos un muelle de 60 pies con mucho espacio para mantener su bote en nuestra cabaña. Hay varios alquileres de botes cercanos donde se pueden alquilar pontones, botes de pesca, kayaks y canoas. La información sobre esto se encuentra en la sección de servicios de este sitio web.
    Estamos rodeados por miles de acres de bosque del condado de Washburn con cientos de millas de senderos para caminatas, ciclismo, motos de nieve y vehículos todo terreno. Puede dejar sus autos / camiones en nuestra cabaña y acceder a los senderos directamente desde nuestra tierra. Motos de nieve y esquí X-country también son legalmente accesibles desde nuestra tierra. Hay muchos bares y restaurantes a lo largo de los senderos. Mapas de los senderos ATV y motos de nieve están en la cabina. Estamos en la frontera de los condados de Washburn y Burnett.     Si buscas paz y tranquilidad cerca de la naturaleza, definitivamente lo encontrarás aquí. Tenemos una sauna en la casa principal. Hay un pozo de fuego cerca del lago donde nuestros huéspedes pasan el rato a cualquier hora del día o de la noche. El pozo de fuego es un lugar ideal para que los huéspedes puedan hacer barbacoas, pescar y nadar. La costa aquí es arenosa y el nivel del agua es seguro para niños pequeños.
    La pesca es excelente desde nuestro litoral, pero puede salir al lago en uno de nuestros barcos y explorar otros lugares de pesca en nuestro lago.

    La pesca en hielo también es muy popular, y a los huéspedes les encanta el fácil acceso al lago directamente desde nuestra propiedad. Los amaneceres y las puestas de sol son increíbles en la mayoría de los días. Las noches son frescas y tranquilas. El aire es fresco y limpio, y hay el sonido de los bribones y otros animales salvajes durante las horas de la tarde y de la madrugada.
    Nuestra propiedad es completamente privada. No hay cabinas visibles a ambos lados de nosotros, y nunca hay tráfico por millas a nuestro alrededor porque estamos en una calle sin salida. Spooner lake house

We needed a place to stay while seeing our son off for his deployment over seas. This place meet all our needs. Pat was very quick to respond to our numerous questions prior to arrival. The house was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Being here in mid fall the colors were gorgeous. I could see coming back in the summer to enjoy the lake. It was a little drive from downtown Spooner but wasn't too bad. If we have a need to be back up in Spooner anytime soon we would definitely look to rebook this house.

Disappointed

Although the interior was fine the exterior was unsafe for children due to so much junk lying around. We were told he’d supply the wood but that didn’t happen. Just as well, unless we wanted to clean the fire pit out, it was unuseable. The guest house had no power to any of the kitchen appliances which was a real inconvenience to the family that was staying there. Owner said he was going through a difficult time. For that I am sorry but, we paid a lot of money and expected a lot more.

Family vacation

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 teenagers and rented both the house and cabin above the garage. Pat is a friendly host and was on site to greet the first people to arrive. We rented Pat's pontoon and really enjoyed the beautiful sunset boat rides during our stay. A few things for future renters to be aware of: if renting the cabin above the garage please enquire whether the electric safety hazard in the shower has been fixed. There is a loose light that appears to be hanging by the wire only. The window air-condition units are very loud and cycle on and off in the night making it hard to sleep. The windows can't be opened, so suggest renters use the sliding door for cool air. In the main cabin be aware that there is no dishwasher, and also no central air. There are two wall mounted air conditioners (one upstairs, and one in the kitchen). They worked well, but the main bedroom could be a bit stuffy at times since there is no a/c unit in the main bedroom.

Not accurately listed

The photos were not accurate and did not fairly represent the condition of the property. The yard had junk scattered everywhere. Chairs were covered in bird poop, ripped or had puddles of dirt. Grass was so long we couldn't enjoy the yard. Sandy beach was full of weeds. The inside of the main cabin did not appear to be prepped for guests and had personal family photos displayed. Two beds had sand in them, dishes, pots and cutting boards were dirty with dried food and grease. The end of the dock was sinking and felt unsafe. When we asked the owner about the wheelbarrow of wood a day, we were told to gather it from the property ourselves. Yet one wheelbarrow had junk in it and the other was full of water and had a flast tire. He apologized that he was behind on his chores yet had over a week to prepare for us. He was shocked that we didn't think the place was clean but did refund a small portion of the payment. He did not seem to take much responsibility for the condition of the place. Hopefully he takes our suggestions to heart for the next renters.

NO Bang for Your BUCK!

I would like to start out by saying I look for VRBO’s that are a beautiful,relaxing home away from home like I assume most of you do! I look at pictures look at location and love lakes and fall leaves! This places looked perfect on the website. Looks can be deceiving!! We pulled in to the long winding off the beaten path driveway to a sandy messy property that was full of junk all over the yard the owners 2 vehicles were there and so where the owners and their dog. My 2 other friends couples were taken back looking at the property. One set of friends decided not to stay and the others decided not to use their own Seperate cabin which we were told we paid for above the garage, they were scared of the condition of that cabin. After the outside was viewed we started to wonder about the inside so we went in and there was a phone and coffee filter on the table with notes on it and I told the lady that there was a phone in there she said yeah that is mine you can give it to me. During the 1 hour we stayed at the cabin we saw broken windows and the fix was to tape a picture over it and yes this was the front window in the kitchen by the stove. We opened the fridge to put our waters in there and there was dried leaked blood or something from meat I assume and something brown and sticky in the bottom of the freezer too.So I let them know we were not staying and told them why and they started to call me dishonest, crazy, and that the cabin is spotless and insulted me!

Would not recommend this place at all!!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend this place at all. We were lied to and the owner stayed on the property the whole time we were at the place. He was up at 6:00am running a skid loader and his dog was barking. Nobody could sleep in. (We were on vacation clearly he was not) It was uncomfortable as it states maximum privacy. (That never happened as we felt we were being watched the whole time) He started a brush fire next to my brothers truck and his truck smelled like smoke and had soot all over it. His neighbors are rude and came yelling at an elderly couple in our group for driving to fast which they did not. (We had our side by sides and we respected everyone however it was very dry and dusty and when you have 5 machines driving yes dust will fly). The place above the garage needs an updated toilet seat as it was taped. The power blew out a couple times because they had their camper plugged in to the garage so it would get hot. The other house gives guest no privacy as you need to go through everyone's rooms to use the bathroom's. The grass was not mowed and it was very long. Lots of garbage and junk laying around. We asked for a refund due to the owner staying on site with us and he refused to give us one. He complained him and his wife have to live out of their suit cases so they can do the VROB. (Not our problem). Overall this was not a good place to stay. I would not recommend this place a all.

Family get together

We were able to check in early which was a big plus for us. The apartment over the garage had a strong smell that lessened when the garage doors were left opened but intensified when closed. The owners of course closed the doors when they went to their other property. We texted Pat about the smell on Monday morning and told him it was really terrible and wondered if something had died under the stairs in the garage. He said he would check back later with a solution. At 7:30 pm the power went out so I texted again asking where’s the breaker box and of course it was in the locked garage. He did send his wife with the key and she was kind enough to leave it in case it happened again. It did. Tuesday Chris and a cleaning lady came to deep clean the garage. While they were there and the doors were opened the smell did lessen. Tuesday afternoon my husband noticed that the water heater next to the wall by the stairs did NOT have a flue vent. The exhaust from the water heater was getting into the apartment. Pat then asked us to shut off the propane until someone could come and install a hot water heater exhaust pipe. Wednesday Pat said the propane company doesn’t do that type of work, he would come Thursday and do it himself. On Thursday someone did show up but left without doing the job. We let Pat know but did not hear back from him. There were no carbon monoxide detectors in the buildings. Had there been they would have been aware of a very serious problem.

Perfect Slice of Heaven

If you are looking for a little slice of heaven this is it! The view on the lake is priceless and the quiet and solitude is perfect. We had 5 days of spending time with family and the house is right on the ATV trails so a lot of 4-wheeling was had by all. Pat and his wife are wonderful hosts and very accommodating. This was the perfect place for our family weekend together!

Family get together

We had an amazing time. Plenty of space and things to do, especially for the little ones. We liked it so much, we have already booked for next year.

Pure Relaxation

I was looking for a property where we could get away and relax and this place was perfect for that. The hosts, Patrick and Kristy, are super nice people that responded immediately to any questions we had. It's remote and quiet and the lake had very little traffic. Whether we were hanging out in the yard, by the fire, or drifting around on the pontoon the experience was nothing but peaceful. For us, it couldn't have been a better trip.

Home away from home

We had a wonderful stay with our immediate family and littles ranging from 3-6 years old. Nice little swimming are for smaller children and great fishing!

Great location for family vacation

We are a family of 11, 4 under 5yrs old. The 2 cabins worked fine for us. We did all of our cooking in the main cabin. There are plenty of large pots and pans and dishes. The beach area is small but nice and sandy. It is also in the shade for a lot of the afternoon which was great. The yard is huge and we had plenty of space to set up yard games and the firepits are both fabulous. Just one drawback in the main cabin. The 3rd bedroom is not really private you have to walk through it to get to the bathroom and the other upstairs bedroom. It wasn't a problem for us. There was also lots of room in the other bedrooms to set up pack and plays. We had 3. Pat was a great host. He was easy to communicate with prior to arrival and we even got to meet him on the Sat. we were leaving. Thanks for a great time

Lots of space!

The facilities were in excellent condition and well maintained. The property has plenty of space inside and out. Lots of areas to enjoy. We especially loved all the birds that flocked the the feeders and the kids loved the chipmunks that came to visit. We rented the pontoon which was perfect for fishing and swimming. Pat was quick to respond to all questions. The area for swimming (in the creek) would work for littles (kids under 4) as it is small and very shallow. We had bigger kids so, we took the pontoon out and found the deep non-weedy spot to swim. The location is perfect for a canoe/kayak trip down the namekagon river. Spooner was a 25 minute drive for shopping and cute historic downtown.

great place for extended family getaway

We used both cabins for our extended family of 6 adults and 6 children aged 1-6. There was plenty of space for everyone, even when we had to stay inside a bit due to rain. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and going out in the pontoon and the canoe. There is plenty of space for kids to run around. Lots of birds and other wildlife. The house is very clean. Communication with Pat is excellent, and he is very flexible with plans.

Peaceful Retreat

Came for a quick getaway with friends. Perfect north woods location away from everything! Easy walk out to the lake for ice fishing and nights around the fire! Spacious accommodations with everything you could need.

Great place to stay

It was a wonderful get away. I love the old school sauna! The wood heat in the main house was so much fun. The view to the sunrise on the lake was awesome. I will go back again!

Great cabins!

We rented both cabins on this property. My family stayed in the main cabin and my parents stayed in the smaller guest cabin. It was so nice to have our own space. The kids loved having their own space upstairs. The cabins had everything that we needed. The property is beautiful. We went ice skating and ice fishing,, then made a fire in the fire pit. A perfect winter getaway.

Fall ATV trip

Nice and close to the trails! The cabin and garage had plenty of space for our group of ten. Lots of privacy. The communication with owner was excellent. Thank you for letting us enjoy your piece of heaven.

Pat is wonderful

Unfortunately we were unable to use our reservation, but Pat is absolutely wonderful. Was available to answer all questions and provided great info for us. We are hoping to rebook for next year so we can appreciate what surely would have been a great family vacation.
