The building is very historic, especially the dining room in the 1799 part of the building with the ancient timbers and two gorgeous stone fire places. We split an order of the beef stew. "This hotel was perfect for our stay in Bardstown, KY. It was very clean, quiet, and the breakfast selection was EXTENSIVE. The biggest breakfast selection I've personally ever seen staying at a hotel. The only downside of our stay was that the pool was too cold for us to swim in. Otherwise, our stay could not have been any better!"

"We stayed at the Trail Hotel recently and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. The pool was definitely a highlight. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We apparently lost power in the middle of the night on the last night but did not notice. They provided complimentary breakfast due to the inconvenience. Whether you want to experience the great bourbon trail or just relax all day at the hotel, this is a must stay. "
