A Cozy Retreat on Southport Island

This cute-as-a-button waterfront cottage is located on Southport Island across the swing bridge from Boothbay Harbor. "Periwinkle" sparkles with fresh coastal decor and hardwood floors throughout. The first of two bedrooms offers the option of a king-size bed or two extra-long twins. The second bedroom has one twin bed. The living room has a full-size sleeper sofa. There is one AC window unit and fans.

The covered porch and boathouse deck provide perfect places to relax while watching the bridge open for passing boats and listening to live music from Robinson's Wharf across the cove. Walk there to dine in, or take out lobsters, other Down East offerings, and landlubbers' fare.


Harbor Choice Laundry is 3 miles away. There is limited counter space in the kitchen, but a nook just behind the kitchen offers additional storage. There is not a dishwasher.

Points of interest within approximately 2-4 miles include Dogfish Head Beach and Hendrick's Head Lighthouse, Boothbay Harbor (dining, shopping, boat tours, golf, YMCA), Maine State Aquarium, and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Guests have access to the entire cottage and dock.

We will meet you upon arrival to transfer keys and give a quick tour. We are available 24/7 during your stay.

Hendrick's Head Beach is about a 2 mile drive on the island and offers a view of Hendrick's Head Lighthouse. Downtown Boothbay Harbor is also 2 miles in the other direction. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is about 4 miles away.

Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation any amounts paid by Guest will be refunded (less any credit card fees incurred) as follows:

100% if cancelled prior to or on date six (6) months prior to Check-in Date
50% if cancelled after six (6) months and before or on three (3) months prior to Check-in Date
0% if cancelled after three (3) months prior to Check-in Date

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of Guests allowed in Premises is 4. If this number is exceeded without prior approval from the Property Manager, Guest will forfeit the security deposit and the Property Manager may cancel the agreement without further notice. No subletting is allowed to others.

Linens: Sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets are provided with this rental.

Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside or on the grounds of this property.

Pets: Pets may be allowed at the property, but will need prior approval from the Property Manager.

Noise: No parties are allowed on the premises. No loud noises are permitted outdoors between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Supplies: An initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and cleaning items will be supplied.

Trash: If Guest's needs exceed a weekly trash pickup, please contact Property Manager.

Arrival and Departure: Check-in time is 4:00 pm or later. Check-out time is 10:00 am. Property Manager will meet you upon arrival and give Guest a house tour and keys. Keys are to be locked inside the house upon check-out. There is a fee for late check-out unless prior arrangements have been made.

Departure and Cleaning: Please leave the house as you found it. Dirty linens should be placed in a pile in one bathroom or laundry room. Dishes should be cleaned or placed in dishwasher and run. Please take all food out of the refrigerator and put bagged trash in bins provided. The house will be thoroughly cleaned before and after your stay. Housekeeping duties during the rental are the responsibility of the Guest.

IMPORTANT:
To ensure peace of mind during your stay, we offer two options for damage protection: a small, one-time non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver (our most convenient and guest-preferred option) or a fully refundable Security Deposit, returned after your stay if no damage is reported. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be prompted to complete this step.
