This is definitely the best place in Bermuda! It has direct access to the private, pristine beach, which you have most of the time for yourself! It is the best beach in Bermuda! Clear water, easy to swim and snorkelling! Great restaurants close by. And the best thing are the hosts! You can feel like you are part of the family! We love it a lot - definitely come back 👍😍

A fine clean room, spacious and confrontable, better than many hotel rooms. Great location and nice and helpful host. Hope to return again to enjoy the beauty of the area.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights in the 2 hearts suite, and had the most wonderful time. We explored a lot of beaches in the area and liked Cross Bay beach the best. It’s beautiful, we were pretty much always the only people there and it’s easy to access by some 100 or so steps from the property. Wendell is a great host, and took the time to chat and recommend some local places to eat and visit, which were all excellent. We felt at home and loved meeting the whole family. The room amenities are all in good working order and everything was clean and comfortable. I’m going miss morning coffee with that view! So special :) We’ll be back asap — 10/10, highly recommend.

Wendell is a great host - welcoming, knowledgeable and so helpful. The accommodation is basic but very comfortable and very reasonably priced for Bermuda! The (private) beach, shared with only 10 or 12 houses is fantastic (although it is accessed by 100 or so steps). We went everywhere by Bermuda’s excellent bus service and the stop is right outside. We would happily return.

Great location close to gorgeous beaches. We rented an electric car with room for beach chairs and umbrella( provided by host!) which made traveling to all the beaches so much easier. Though the unit is a bit small, it had everything we needed including microwave, toaster, refrigerator and coffee maker. We did wish we had a days worth of coffee for the first morning and a cooler to take to the beaches would have been a great addition. The host and his family were a pleasure to communicate with. When we come back we would love to stay here again!

We strongly recommend this lovely place. The view of the ocean in the front yard is incredible with plenty of seating and a hot tub to soak in. The unit was well outfitted and spotless and the hosts couldn’t be any warmer or more helpful. You have the use of a beautiful semi private beach down a flight of stairs that was well worth the climb. What we found most useful was the access to the # 7 bus which was steps outside our door. This takes you into Hamilton or the Royal Dockyard depending on the direction. Long chats with Wendell topped off our enjoyment with this excellent choice.

The view was amazing. Wendel is a nice man. However and it doesn’t matter if I am on an island . The amount of bugs I had to kill was insane . Hundreds of ants. Giant spider and roaches ( not island palmetos ) the small dirty people roaches in the bathroom. I went and spoke to the owner the wife who gave me bug spray and baby powder, I guess I really didn’t think anything of it when she says she puts it around her coffee station to keep the roaches away!!!! Well when I woke up in the morning to use the bathroom and saw them in there for the first time I immediately shook out and packed all of stuff . Got in my rental car and left !! I sent message to Wendel about it and he never replied . He also never replied to any of my messages before hand . He did call . I think he doesn’t want anything in writing so it doesn’t come back to him . He only offered a 1 night refund . I found that out through VRBO . Now this was on my 2nd day of my vacation I had to scurry and try to find a place last min . Had to stay at a resort that I really did not want to spend that sort of money on , it’s why I booked Wendals property. Now I don’t know who is really writing these reviews but he only has 2 rooms available and no one else was there when I was. The grounds were not very kept and the hottub was filthy not that I was going to use it in that heat anyway. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Oh and the beach is not private it’s shared with the community and the resort down the road .

March stay for sailing regattas

our host was very arranging and offers us to pick us up at the airport (50 min drive). The house is in a residential area overlooking a stretch of water. The deck on the picture has been very appreciate on sunny days (we had many different weather end of March). The bus stop is at the door, one of us was using the bus every day. (Hamilton 25' away, same time by car more or less) The 2 other rented scooters. The old traintrack (2' away) was a beautiful jogging path). Our daily activity was at the dockyard, so ti was a good position. We enjoyed it very much!

Very Memorable Family Vacation and Experience

My wife, college-age son, his friend, and I enjoyed everything about our week long trip to Bermuda! Wendell's cottage and provisions were exactly as advertised, thus the 5 star rating. Having been to Bermuda before, we enjoyed staying in the more country-like setting of Sandys Parish yet we had plenty to do and utilized the Oleander Moped service to enjoy the entire island at our leisure. Wendell and his neighbors were extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful from day one. Quinton Bean provided superb shuttle service to and from the airport. Make sure you play the miniature golf at the Dockyard if that's your thing. It's worth it. We sought out fish sandwiches all over the island. Woody's was excellent. Art Mels outside Hamilton is the biggest sandwich you will ever eat if you can find it...half the fun. Raisin bread and cole slaw the key to sandwich. Jet skiing at Somerset Bridge a must if you like some excitement. Thanks Wendell...Your place was the "perfect" fit for us...We hope to make it back some day for sure!

Highly Recommend The Two Hearts Cottage

Excellent location. Off the beaten track yet close to public transit. Spent a month there an thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Neighbors are absolutely amazing and extremely friendly. Wendell, the host, could not have been more hospitable. Would highly recommend it.

Two Hearts Cottage was a disappointment

While in Bermuda, we stayed in two rentals - one in St. George's and the other at Two Hearts Cottage. Two Hearts cottage was in a great location and was very convenient but the accommodations were a big disappointment. We enjoyed the lovely deck but the place was not comfortable. First, the cottage was dank, musty and smelled of mold. We opened all of the windows to air out the place, and that helped, but didn't get rid of the problem. My wife and daughter awoke each morning coughing, congested and with a sore throat. Wendell said that living on an island, every place is like this, but we did not have this problem in the other place we stayed. The second issue was cockroaches, mainly in the kitchen. Wendell said that he sprayed before we arrived and he put down traps, but we saw at least a half dozen scurrying around! When we complained to Wendell, he said that this was part of "island living". Again, we did not have this problem in our location. While Wendell was very nice and friendly, we found that he discounted our concerns and tried to convince us that every place was like this. We were not convinced. Also, considering that eating out is so expensive in Bermuda, we cooked in a lot. The kitchen had just the basics, and nothing else. More pots, pans, utensils, etc, would have been a welcomed touch. Since we paid cash in full, and up front, we couldn't find a new place to stay, but we would have liked to. We were uncomfortable with the smell, disgusted with the roaches and would definitely not recommend this place..

Lovely place for Cup Match 2016

My family went to Bermuda for Cup Match to visit family. This location was perfect for us. My husband / son rented a scooter and my daughter and I took the bus. The bus stop is at the end of a short walk to middle road. Wendell went to town to get our weekly bus ticket which was perfect. Wendell and his wife were very hospitable and brought us items we needed for cooking (pot holders etc). The air conditioning in the unit was great. Ft Scaur is very close by and a walk away. Definately worth taking in the views. There were several items which needed some attention in the unit when we stayed in August and brought it to the attention of Wendell. I am sure he will attend to them. We would stay here again the next time we visit Bermuda.

Absolutely perfect! Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I planned our trip to Bermuda a few months beforehand and throughout the entire process Wendell was so helpful and responsive. He provided a very detailed overview of his home and what he offers to all of his guests, which is much more than what other homeowners on HomeAway offer. Even when our trip had to be postponed due to a hurricane, Wendell was so accommodating. He allowed us to change our reservation at no additional cost and worked with our new schedule to ensure he would be available to pick us up from the airport and drop us off. Upon arrival, Wendell picked us up and gave us a very informative and breathtaking tour of the entire island! He gave us recommendations for pretty much everything - restaurants, beaches, hikes, excursions, etc. He also highly recommended that we rent scooters for the week rather than taking the bus and it was a game-changer for us! We had planned to buy a weekly bus pass, but we decided to take his advice and it was so worth it! Everything he told us was absolutely accurate and it allowed us to do everything we wanted to while we were there. Overall, our experience was absolutely amazing. The home was quaint and comfortable. There were several brochures on the table for us to read through and Wendell offered beach towels and chairs for our use the entire week. I could go on and on all day about how perfect Wendell and his home were for us! If you're on the fence, I highly recommend you stop your search and make a reservation with Wendell right now!

A Wonderful Bermuda Location

My parents, my boyfriend, and I decided to stay at Two Hearts for vacation. We had an amazing week in Bermuda. Wendell was so kind, responsive, informative, and personable. We encountered a plumbing issue during our stay and he immediately came over with his wife to help remedy it. When that didn't work, he had a plumber come over as soon as he was available. The neighbors were super kind and gave us ideas of where to go - they also tried to contact their fisherman friend to get us some local fish and while that didn't pan out, their attempts were much appreciated. This location, though, was truly the shining component of this home. Not only is the home in very good condition with pretty views of the harbor, but it's very close to Dockyard amenities/restaurants and the drive to Hamilton was easy, too. Additionally, it's an easy drive to the beaches on the Southern shore - Horseshoe Bay, Church Bay, etc. We adored Wendell and his wife and would recommend this rental to anyone who is considering it.

fantastic , paradise

I had a fantastic week in a beautiful cottage. I can highly recommend it. The view is spectacular. Every room is decorated different and very cosy. The neighbourhood is very friendly. It is very convenient that the bus stop is just in front of the main road. The owners are a great couple. They picked me up and brought me to the airport. They told me everything about the island and gave me useful advice. This is definately not the last time that I visited this beautiful paradise. I can highly recommend it. Nicole

Two Hearts Cottage is an excellent choice.

Wendell and his wife Xinia met us at the airport and gave us a scenic tour on our way to Somerset. We found "Two Hearts" cottage to be comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, with many lovely paintings. The bus pick-up at the end of the Street was good to go to either end of the Island with many stops in between. We also took the ferry from the Dock Yard to Hamilton to board a boat to watch the "Louis Vitton" regatta including Oracle and 5 other countries. Weather in mid October was warm. We enjoyed our first visit to Bermuda very much. We'll be back!!

Perfect Getaway.

Wendell was a great host and he went out of his way to provide airport pickup on two separate days. We rented from Oleander and made good use of the scooters to make our way around. Cottage was a perfect size for our group and the large deck was great for entertaining. The fish sandwich at Woody's was great and we enjoyed meeting the chatting with the locals. We would definitely return to 'two hearts' as we had an awesome 10 day stay.

Great Bermuda Cottage! Great Bang for the Buck!

From the time we arrived in Bermuda we had a wonderful experience! Wendell had arranged for pick-up at the airport. He and his wife greeted us at the cottage and went over all of the amenities. We used Oleander to rent mopeds. These were delivered and picked up. Great service! We had two couples staying in the cottage and the size was perfect for us. The home was cleaned and well cared for. We had a great deck to sit out back and enjoy a nightcap and grill our fresh catch of the day. The local fisherman is in view of the deck. The A/C was outstanding, washer and dryer apartment size worked well, well equipped kitchen. This was a great spot to experience the island and explore(as long as you are comfortable driving a moped on the left hand side). The locals do not follow the speed limit. Use caution when exploring. The cottage is within walking distance of Fort Scaur. You have great views from here of Hamilton and Ely Harbor. A nice spot for a picnic or watching the sunset. For people who hike, the Bermuda Trail can be accessed from the fort. On the mopeds you are only 10 minutes away from the Royal Naval Yard with great shops, the museum of the fort, Dolphin encounter, restaurants and a beginner level snorkeling area. We got to see the dolphins with our admission to the museum. They put on a great show and the dolphin trainers went above and beyond to educate and entertain us. Every day we adventured all over the Island. We drove to Crystal Caves great experience. Neat seeing the underground pond,stalagmites and stalactites. Had lunch at the Swizzle Inn! Wonderful Fish Sandwich and Rum Swizzle Punch! They also have a restaurant on South Road near Warwick Beach. Took a trip out to St. George good shopping, The Perfumiary was nice, we also saw the unfinished church and just explored this end of the Island. Snorkeled at Church's Bay one day. Visited Horseshoe beach, Jobson's cove, Daniel's head. Shopped in Hamilton which you can access by ferry, bus, or moped. Most nights we ate at the cottage. We had two grocery stores nearby. The mopeds come with a basket on the back, which we got creative at packing the groceries in. We hope to return to Bermuda in the future and would rent "Two Hearts" again in a heartbeat!

A true Bermuda Experience

This is a traditional Bermuda cottage set in a quiet location but so close to the main route ways. Wendell is great , the property was spotless with all the major amenities - we were so impressed with the air-con! Sitting on the decking at night - beer in hand, listening to the tree frogs and looking at the glorious starry night what more could you ask for. There were 5 of us , we hired mopeds and spent all day going to idyllic beaches , the boys skied with Kent ( superstar) we hired whalers from Robinson's ( 3 minutes away) brilliant way to explore . We deep sea dived (!) and loads more The battle of the fish sandwich was won by Woody's ( easy) - I cannot praise this island or the people enough - it was tough to leave - the cottage felt like home. You don't have to spend a fortune - Port Royal Grill , Robin Hood Quiz night ( and we won!!) are all easy on the pocket. We didn't live the high life but hey when you live in paradise who needs it - one bit of advice ....explore ,explore and explore more you will find the best kept secrets in the world. Thank you Wendell , Quinton and all the guys we will return - Come on Somerset!!!
