The peace and quiet of the island lifestyle, the cottage is big enough for people to have their own "wee bit" either to play games, read a book or just enjoy the view. Going for walks or seeing kids play whilst you get lots of the highland fresh air!. Ground Floor:

This spacious, well-equipped home sleeps 7 people and features four comfortable bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. Nestled amid picturesque scenery, the cottage offers stunning views across the loch and surrounding hills. Wildlife lovers will delight in regular sightings of birds right from the doorstep. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure in nature, this welcoming cottage is the perfect base for your island getaway.

The cottage also boasts a fully enclosed garden, perfect for guests bringing a dog, offering a safe space for it to roam and play. At the rear of the property, you’ll find a sheltered patio area complete with a picnic bench and additional outdoor seating — an ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee or evening meal while soaking in the fresh sea air and peaceful surroundings. Whether you’re relaxing after a day exploring the island or simply unwinding with a book, the outdoor space adds to the comfort and charm of your stay.

Just a five-minute walk down the croft from the cottage brings you to the beautiful shoreline, where you can simply take in the views across to South Lochboisdale. The local area is rich in history and natural beauty, with plenty to explore, from ancient ruins and traditional crofting landscapes.

Further afield, with as little as a 10-minute drive away, you are able to enjoy quiet beaches which line the west coast of South Uist as well as scenic lochside trails. We had an excellent holiday at the cottage. Location was perfect for a stay on the islands, remote but everything you need is close by, perfection. The cottage itself was just what we needed, it exceeded our expectations, with everything we need for a great stay.
