Coastal cottage. . Farm and sea

This is a brand new Post and Beam style cottage with 2 bedrooms and sleeps 5 comfortably. Open floor plan and large deck over looking a pasture. Built on a 5 acre farm just 10 minutes to local beaches, you will experience old South County living, surrounded by working farms with peace and quiet away from the crowds. A short drive gets you to local beaches. The Galilee Fishing Port is nearby with a very active and productive fishing fleet, one of the biggest in the U.S. The Block Island Ferry is also located in Galilee. Downtown Wakefield is 5 minutes away with local shops,restaurants and markets. Newport is a 25 minute ride, The University of Rhode Island is 10 minutes and Providence is 30 minutes. Sadly our beloved donkey Duke has passed away. We still have our free roaming chickens.

NOTICE: Monthly rentals are available during the months of June, July and August at a discounted rate. It is recommended to book monthly rentals as soon as possible to ensure reservation before weekly rentals are booked.

Quiet, easy check-in/check-out, chickens were friendly and the most adorable property greeters. LOLClose to URI with awesome places to eat just down the road in Wakefield. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Family Beach Trip

Close proximity to Scarborough Beach (A). House was perfect for our family of 5. Very quiet neighborhood, safe area, approx 5 miles to many restaurants and stores. Dean was happy to answer a few questions we had about the area. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It was clean and comfortable. Our dogs liked it as well. The chickens and cats were so friendly, greeting us whenever we were outside. There's a ton of wildlife to watch from the back porch which is also great for reading and relaxing. Dean and Nancy are great hosts and Dean was lightening fast at answering texts and phone calls. We definitely will be returning.

Summer Cottage Serenade

We had a lovely stay at Summer Cottage. Very chill place to relax in lovely surroundings in the midst of farms, close to beaches and the lovely town of Wakefield. Cottage is very cute and has everything we needed for the three of us. Our Havi Harry loved his stay.Dean

Cottage on a farm

This is our second time and had another wonderful mini vacation. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. My girls and the dog had so much fun with all the animals. Location is perfect- right by the beaches, great restaurants and activities. Cant wait to go back!

Another amazing stay!

This is my second time staying at this property and it was another perfect trip! The location could not be better and the house itself is wonderful - fully stocked kitchen, great outdoor space (with animals!) and ample parking. We love that the cottage is pet friendly as well :) Can't wait to return again!

The kindest people with the best place

The house was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. We were made to feel like royalty, everything was provided for us, The hosts Dean and Nancy made sure we had anything we needed and we're extremely understanding and giving when it came to some difficult situations that popped up. What an absolutely beautiful and kind family with a gorgeous place so close to the beaches.

Peaceful get-away, close to all beaches.

Relaxing mornings waking up to the friendly donkeys and comical geese. Beaches all afternoon with either side of the salt pond easily accessible. Great dinners at night, restaurants or eating in. The hosts were very prompt when we asked about anything. We enjoyed our stay.

We are from the area but now live out of town, so we can attest to the location! Great spot. Nice, private cottage on the property, lovely farm. House itself had everything we needed and was nicely appointed. Will definitely rent again if we have the need!

Peaceful Farm Retreat Minutes from Beaches

We had a wonderful stay at this immaculate and peaceful property which was thoughtfully furnished with modern appliances and everything we needed. The comfiest beds! Property is perfectly situated just minutes from area attractions and beaches. We loved meeting all the sweet animals too! Thank you so much for your hospitality, we definitely hope to return.

The little cottage was perfect for our getaway. loved the donkey's Duke and Jack the geese were hysterical. very comfortable beautiful kitchen. enjoyed waking up every morning and seeing the animals including wildlife like deer. All attractions were less than 15 min away.

Donkeys, cats and geese, oh my!

Dean’s place was peaceful and quiet. Very convenient location, 10 mins from the beach. We enjoyed the adorable animals; donkey, mule, geese and friendly cats each day. As a family of 3, the cottage was a good size, might be a little small for a larger family.

Lovely cottage

We had such a wonderful time staying at the cottage. Dean and Nancy were so welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with the mule, donkey, cats and geese. Our dog enjoyed it as well and made friends with Duke. Great location - close to beaches and great restaurants too! Thank you for such a nice week- didn’t want to keave :)

Photos don’t do Dean’s place justice!

We will definitely stay again. Perfect for one or two couples. The common space is much larger than we expected with a GREAT kitchen. Large private balcony as well. The place in general is very private but Dean is a great host and very communicative! Highly recommend this place! As clean as could be.

Great stay!

We had a great stay! Dean and Nancy were very responsive and helpful! Their cottage was perfect for our family as we were there to watch our son play college summer baseball. It was quiet and secluded yet close to Old Mountain field and to the beach, and about a half hour from Newport. The cottage is furnished nicely and was equipped with everything we needed, from pots and pans to beach chairs!

Country getaway

This quiet home offers beachy RI-style New England charm on a country road. The cottage is set behind the host’s home, but still offers a lot of privacy with your own backyard area that overlooks a beautiful field filled with milkweed, and thus butterflies. The property also features chickens and other lovely farm animals. The cabin was well stocked with bedding, bath, and kitchenwares. They provide laundry room access and even beach furniture! This is the perfect stay if you want to be a short ride from the beach, while enjoying a little country seclusion. The hosts are so flexible and responsive as well.

Relaxing Get-a-Way

We live in NYC and wanted a quiet place to relax for a week. This cottage was perfect. Denis & Nancy are excellent hosts. They keep 2 cats, 2 donkeys, 2 geese and 5 chickens. (Yes - we did get some fresh from the nest eggs!) Our 2 cats loved running around the yard and napping on the deck. We spent a lot of time on the back deck. Ended up extending our stay one more night - we just weren't ready to leave! We would stay here again.
