Esta es una nueva cabaña de estilo Post and Beam. 2 habitaciones para 6 personas cómodamente. Plano de planta abierto y cubierta grande con vistas a pastos con animales de granja. Construido en una granja de 5 acres a solo 10 minutos de las playas locales. Experimentarás la antigua vida del sur del condado, rodeado de granjas en funcionamiento. Paz y tranquilidad lejos de las multitudes Un corto viaje lo lleva a las playas locales. El puerto pesquero de Galilea está cerca con una flota pesquera muy activa y productiva. Quiet, easy check-in/check-out, chickens were friendly and the most adorable property greeters. LOLClose to URI with awesome places to eat just down the road in Wakefield. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

We had a perfect stay at this cottage. It was bigger than we anticipated. There was plenty of room inside for playing games, eating and just relaxing. The dogs appreciated the quietness of the neighborhood. The host were very attentive at giving us suggestions as needed. I would highly recommend this cottage if you’re looking for a place that’s clean and comfortable and away from the main attractions but close enough to get there in just a few minutes.

Our family of five adult really enjoyed the peacefulness and tranquility of the porch and the view behind the house. It was very comfortable with the mini splits in all rooms. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and there were plenty of pillows and sheets and blankets since we used the pull out futon. Since we were arriving at different times, it was very convenient to have plenty of parking. It is a short drive to beaches and stores if needed.It was very helpful to have Nancy and Dean at the house in front of the property and they were most helpful with any small things that we needed.The only thing we were really missing was a workspace as some of us needed to work remotely during the course of the week. We made do with the kitchen island and kitchen table, but it did limit the space where others could hang out when we were working.They no longer have the pets on the listing, but we enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard and the dogs enjoyed the run of the yard. Overall, it was a really relaxing and enjoyable week.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It was clean and comfortable. Our dogs liked it as well. The chickens and cats were so friendly, greeting us whenever we were outside. There's a ton of wildlife to watch from the back porch which is also great for reading and relaxing. Dean and Nancy are great hosts and Dean was lightening fast at answering texts and phone calls. We definitely will be returning.

Unclean place and rude property owner

Upon first arrival, the property seemed fine. However as we used the utilities, we realized how unclean the place was. There was a pile of sand/dirt in the shower, the towels smelled of mold, there were bugs everywhere (gnats, flies, spiders, other bugs), the sheets had clearly not been washed as there was hair in the beds, the couches had crumbs on them, the pillows were stained, and there was dust and cobwebs all over. If you don't mind some dirt and bugs, then this is a great place to lodge. Not to mention the shower didn’t have an adequate shower curtain which led the water to leak onto the floor of the bathroom, which then leaked onto the first floor. The place is clearly not well constructed. We complained to VRBO who contacted the owner, and he was rude and unhelpful. He claimed we didn’t have “legitimate complaints” and that the place was “immaculate” which was clearly untrue. He stated that a cleaning company came by and cleaned everything and washed the linens within 45 minutes of our complaint. I’ll let you decide how believable that is. We left after one night and the owner refused to refund us for the second unused night. He also insinuated we were trying to scam him which is extremely unprofessional. VRBO was of little help as well.

Family Beach Trip

Close proximity to Scarborough Beach (A). House was perfect for our family of 5. Very quiet neighborhood, safe area, approx 5 miles to many restaurants and stores. Dean was happy to answer a few questions we had about the area. Highly recommend!

Summer Cottage Serenade

Relocation atopover

Relocating to Boston from DC with my two mid-sized dogs. Have family in Wakefield and Narragansett so wanted to stop here for a week before fully committing to a place up near the city. Daughter was with me for a few nights. Place was PERFECT. Exactly what we needed. Great for the dogs. Far enough off the road I didn’t have to worry about them mixing with the cars too much. Beautiful… morning coffee on the back deck…threw the frisbee in the afternoon. Hiking trails and parks nearby. Easy access to dog beach a few miles away, or Narragansett beach. And all the accouterments of home. Dean and Nancy are super and easy to work with. Highly recommend from anything to a romantic getaway for two, or a beach week for a small family with a pet. Or anything in between.

Country getaway

This quiet home offers beachy RI-style New England charm on a country road. The cottage is set behind the host’s home, but still offers a lot of privacy with your own backyard area that overlooks a beautiful field filled with milkweed, and thus butterflies. The property also features chickens and other lovely farm animals. The cabin was well stocked with bedding, bath, and kitchenwares. They provide laundry room access and even beach furniture! This is the perfect stay if you want to be a short ride from the beach, while enjoying a little country seclusion. The hosts are so flexible and responsive as well.

The kindest people with the best place

The house was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. We were made to feel like royalty, everything was provided for us, The hosts Dean and Nancy made sure we had anything we needed and we're extremely understanding and giving when it came to some difficult situations that popped up. What an absolutely beautiful and kind family with a gorgeous place so close to the beaches.

for a relaxing vacation close to everything

We had a great week at Dean's. The house is just like the pictures. Perfect for a family stay. Very well equipped and the garden is large and safe for children. The donkeys will keep the kids happy while you lounge on the patio. The village of Wakefield is really charming and has everything we need within a 10 minute drive. The beaches are 15 minutes away and are superb. For paddle boarders, there's a calm lake just a 2-minute drive away. Newport is a beautiful town 30 minutes away. We loved our stay and will return one day! Dean is very kind and helpful and always responds quickly if we have any questions. Thanks again for everything Dean. Emma misses Jake and Duke very much

Newport getaway

Nancy and Deans cottage was a wonderful place to stay during our recent Rhode Island vacation. The detached cottage has a great layout and was cozy while at the same time allowing our family to stretch out. The kids loved greeting the donkeys and the geese in the morning and generally exploring the grounds. And the location close to Wakefield, several beaches and Newport was a big plus. Our only issue was that it seemed like the cottage was hurriedly cleaned after the previous stay and we found it a little rough around the edges when it came to clean counters, etc. Not that it was dirty, just not as crisp as we have experienced at other stays. Nancy and Dean were very hospitable however and let us know they were around if we needed anything, but also giving us full privacy during our stay. We would certainly come back and look forward to an opportunity to do so.

Peaceful get-away, close to all beaches.

Relaxing mornings waking up to the friendly donkeys and comical geese. Beaches all afternoon with either side of the salt pond easily accessible. Great dinners at night, restaurants or eating in. The hosts were very prompt when we asked about anything. We enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Farm Retreat Minutes from Beaches

We had a wonderful stay at this immaculate and peaceful property which was thoughtfully furnished with modern appliances and everything we needed. The comfiest beds! Great stay!

We had a great stay! Dean and Nancy were very responsive and helpful! Their cottage was perfect for our family as we were there to watch our son play college summer baseball. It was quiet and secluded yet close to Old Mountain field and to the beach, and about a half hour from Newport. The cottage is furnished nicely and was equipped with everything we needed, from pots and pans to beach chairs!

Cute spot

I stayed in July with my family of four. That included little boys. They had a great time meeting the donkeys. The hosts were friendly and inviting and the property was clean and tidy. There are gooses on the property that can get a little noisy but they didn't bother me very much. The cabin is a short drive to the major beaches. Although I found the state beaches easier to access than the town beach due to parking and suggest going in the morning as opposed to waiting for the afternoon. Overall I would highly recommend this property. We had a great time. It's a super cute little cabin.

Cottage on a farm

This is our second time and had another wonderful mini vacation. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. My girls and the dog had so much fun with all the animals. Location is perfect- right by the beaches, great restaurants and activities. Cant wait to go back!

Donkeys, cats and geese, oh my!

Dean’s place was peaceful and quiet. Very convenient location, 10 mins from the beach. We enjoyed the adorable animals; donkey, mule, geese and friendly cats each day. As a family of 3, the cottage was a good size, might be a little small for a larger family.
