  • This rustic ranch retreat includes both the main and bunk houses. You'll have a barn, two houses with all-wood interiors, and plenty of elbow room to comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests, making this the perfect place for family reunions or get-togethers with friends. Nestled against the mountainside, this home is the picture of seclusion and tranquility, with spectacular views on every side and lots of space for the kids to run around and play.

    The main house has front and back decks (the back deck has mountain views), perfect for entertaining or just enjoying your morning coffee. Inside, you'll find a spacious and well-lit great room with a game table, a bar, and lots of comfortable furniture, plus beautiful views through the large windows. The full kitchen has two counter stools at the breakfast bar, plus a small dining table with seating for four. You'll love serving your guests in the dining room at the large wooden table. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, an ensuite bath, and lovely views of the mountains. The first bedroom features a twin-over-double bunk, plus another twin with a trundle bed underneath. The second bedroom features a twin-over-queen bunk and a twin bed.

    Cross the gravel path to access the bunkhouse, featuring a living room with an all-wood interior and plenty of comfortable furniture to stretch out on. The group chef will love getting creative in the full kitchen, and there is plenty of space for the kids to play in the upstairs loft. The bunkhouse has one room with two twin bunks and another room with three twin bunks and an ensuite bath. The barn is large and beautiful, with plenty of room to store your gear and ample space for parking ATV trailers and additional vehicles.

    You'll be surrounded on all sides by spectacular country. Feel like taking a break from the kitchen? There are plenty of nearby restaurants to check out like Mountain Pizza & Taproom, Ramon's Mexican Restaurant, and The Old Firehouse. And Wolf Creek Anglers is just three miles west with bait, tackle, and other supplies for your next fishing excursion.

Family fun

We had a great time at this property with 3 families with adult children. It was perfect to commute to Wolf Creek to ski. We enjoyed everything!

Family vacation

This was a fun trip for myself, and my six children, and some of them even have children of their own play Stadium, the majority of the time and enjoy each other’s company while cooking eating and having fun.

Second time here and would come again!

This is our second time staying here in the past few years and we would totally do it again! Beautiful property, great location, and plenty of space for kids of all ages or run and play. We enjoyed doing a campfire in the evenings. The kids rode the bikes all over the property. The big kitchen was helpful for preparing meals. Loved it!

The house was great, but the problems outweighed the house. We didn't feel we were compensated for the loss of running water.

Perfect venue for large family gatherings

Our stay at the Cougar Canyon Main and Bunk House was fantastic. The venue and management accessibility exceeded our expectations in every way. Both homes were deep cleaned (spotless!) and well equipped to house and prepare/serve meals to our large group. It is truly a beautiful place to stay, both inside and out! We will definitely return.

Family Vacation

Great property. We had a large group (12 adults), the property had space for all of us. Beautiful area, deer and rabbits in the yard and on the mountain right behind the house daily. This was our first winter vacation. Would love to go back during summer for a completely different experience.

A perfect place for a large family to come together!

This beautiful, yet laid-back and cozy, home provided a great environment for adults to visit and children to play, both inside and outside. Arrangements were very comfortable for everyone. Great spacious location just outside of South Fork and tucked up close to the mountain.

GREAT Family Trip

We went as a family- our kids and grandkids to this beautiful cabin in South Fork!! We had an amazing time and the cabin was one of the main reasons for how nice our stay was!!

Perfect Christmas Vacation

This is our third time to rent this property! It is beautiful and spacious and the views are spectacular. It is a short 25 minute drive up the mountain to Wolf Creek Ski Area, our favorite!

Great Place for a Big Family

Great place with close proximity to fishing and mountain trails. It was great because it was large and separated from neighbors. Had lots of grand kids riding their bicycles all over the property. We had camp fires and enjoyed smores and conversation. Also played all sorts of games. Hiking is right outside the back door. This property wqas great.

Wonderful place for large groups

It is a great place to stay for large groups and we feel very much comfortable as it has enough room for all of us. It has nice scenery around the house with mountains and we can hike just in the back yard. The bunk house was nicely decorated and it has separate kitchen over there as well. Water and WiFi facilities are perfectly provided and we did not get any interruption. Also the groceries and gas available near by. As it is summer, mosquitoes were everywhere outside. We should have carried the mosquito repellents. Except the mosquitoes, we had a very nice vacation!!

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a large family gathering. Equipped with everything you need. Beautiful country setting w/ easy access to main road for attractions and scenery, and shopping. Highly recommend this for a stay in Colorado.
