Welcome to Walnut Cottage, your charming retreat near Lake Somerville. The cottage is located just 5 minutes from the lake via Big Creek Marina, 15 minutes from Lake Somerville State Park (Birch Creek Unit), 30 minutes from historic downtown Brenham, and 40 minutes from College Station and Santa's Wonderland. This 3-bedroom house sleeps up to 7 guests and is perfect for families, couples, and friends. At Walnut Cottage, nature, relaxation, and hospitality combine for great memories!

Downstairs: 1 Bedroom (King bed), 1 Bathroom (full bath with tub)
Upstairs: 2 Bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, one with three Twin beds (triple bunk bed), 1 Bathroom (walk-in shower)
Outside: Firepit and seating area with 6 chairs

The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Staples such as olive oil, salt, pepper, and common spices are provided.

For your morning coffee, we provide both a drip coffee maker and Nespresso with a complimentary starter supply of ground coffee/pods/filters and creamer/sweetener.

The cottage is located in a wooded, rural neighborhood right off of Recreational Road 4. There is easy access to nature via the nearby lake and state park, and you may even see some right in the cottage's backyard! We recommend wearing shoes and insect spray outside, and keeping a keen eye out for the critters that call this region of Texas home.

The cottage is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi. The living room features a Roku TV, on which you are welcome to log in to your favorite streaming services.

No parties, pets, or smoking on the property.

Check-in time is any time after 3:00 PM CST.
Check-out time is 11:00 AM CST.

To request an early check-in or late check-out, please message me within 24 hours of your check-in date, and we will determine availability.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will receive a unique code for the front door.

The property is fenced and has space for one vehicle within the gate. Additional vehicles may park along the road. Your boat trailer can be backed in and dropped within the gate, or there is room outside the gate for a boat and truck. Please do not block the neighboring property.

PLEASE NOTE:
Rental Agreement and Security Hold are required to stay on this property.

After booking, you will receive a personalized Rental Agreement via our web-based system, OwnerRez, and a $300 Security Hold will be processed 2 days prior to check-in. Security Hold to be processed by Host on Guest's credit card, separate from platform booking charges. Security Hold will be released 2 days after check-out, barring any property damage or excessive cleaning needs.
