"Very long distances to the rooms. All vehicle chargers broken. Overcrowded, especially at breakfast. Breakfast bacon hard and turned over on itself and cemented to itself. £35 steak tough - no information about how many days hung. Small bowls for cereal, small glasses for orange juice. Good variety of cereals at breakfast. Dining areas always very noisy - loud guffaws and very loud conversations. Guests at dinner in Bermuda shorts. Parking too far away from reception. Staff always helpful. Rooms...

"The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English."

Rooms are dark, low ceilings, out-updated furniture, etc. All in all, the hotel is good enough, though one may not think of it as a spa like experience, especially when considering that this is one of the attractions/ amenities that they are offering & advertising."

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"Stain on carpet and sheets after room was “cleaned”, no fridge, other than that room was spacious and relaxing. No smart TV and no access to the back for a firestick so stuck with free view channels "

Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, though there's an expectation that you already know things and the anticipation that you are going to ask things that are wildly off target.
