"This is a lovely pub the staff very welcoming and a warm homely atmosphere. We had an evening meal which was nice, then an absolutely lovely breakfast. The room itself was ok I didn't sleep too well as the mattress was rock hard and so were the pillows so I woke up with a bad back. Also there was no shower which was very disappointing I don't like having to take a bath where hundreds of people have been"

The mattresses in the bedrooms were also too soft and should be replaced with firmer, more comfortable ones. Overall, the stay was fine for the price point, but anything over £70 per night would not represent good value for money."

"First, you can't check in till 5pm. Second, the shower is small and slippery when wet. When I mentioned that I'd nearly fallen twice and it needed a non-slip mat, I was told can't be done as this would be an admission that there is a problem. Plus, the light in the bathroom is on a motion sensor timer and kept cutting out leaving me in the shower, in the dark. It sounds comical but with the slippery shower base and total darkness, it wasn't funny. I had to open the shower door and wave my arm to...
