Solan Retreat Villa with Garden

A GRAND BRITISH HERITAGE VILLA with a PANAROMIC /AMAZING view from the garden , nestled on top of a mountain yet located in the centre of town on the Mall Road. It is a 150 year old house with large airy rooms, fireplaces, antique furniture, and beautiful colonial architecture. Recently renovated to offer all modern facilities, it has a lush green garden in the front and a lovely courtyard at the back of the house. THE house is better known AS JAIN HOUSE BY the people of Solan Town.
The space
Solan Retreat is a British Heritage House dating back 150 years with high ceilings, deodar wood doors and windows, antique furniture, fireplaces, hidden nooks and crannies and lots more.

GARDEN RETREAT
A lovely lush green garden in front of the house welcomes you with pretty flowers dancing in the wind and the soothing sounds of chirping birds. Soak in the bright sunshine while the cool breeze lulls you to sleep. Look up to see a star spangled sky in perfect silence.

The view from the garden shows multiple rows of mountain peaks blending into infinity. A popular game among guests is to count the number of peaks you can see from the garden. Below the mountains, the entire town of Solan is laid out before you.

Whats more, a 2 seater swing makes you feel like a little child all over again. Guests enjoy singing songs and cuddling their children on this swing making it a popular spot for everyone.

Gardening, watering plants, learning about the local flora and fauna, and many photo-ops with the spectacular view in the background are other activities you can enjoy.

COURTYARD RETREAT
Bonfire nights are a hit here! Gather around exchanging stories particularly about ghosts, singing songs, drinking and merry making and having a memorable night under a starlit sky.

In the daytime, use the courtyard to play badminton, cricket, carom and many other games with your friends and family. Or just sit there and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

PATIO RETREAT
Kickback on reclining armchairs to absorb the peace and tranquility all around you. Absorb the ambiance of this beautifully restored bungalow with its exquisite furniture and room decors. See the view of mountain tops right from inside the patio without allowing the cold wind and strong sun to disturb you too much.

The Villa offers ample space to host groups of up-to 12 persons , Groups lesser than twelve people can also stay and book the villa , there is a minimum charge of Rs 5950 for up to 4 guests , for each additional guest after 4 guests, there is an additional charge of Rs 1000 per guest.
Guest access
Enjoy long leisurely walks at the Jawahar Park, which is famous for bird watching.

The house is at the center of the town, right on the Mall Road of Solan. It gives you quick, easy to the Market for all your requirements.

The picturesque Solan Railway Station is right out of a storybook with its quaint single track railway line for the toy train. Its a favourite with our guests who love to take a ride on this mini toy train.

The Solan bus stand, local restaurants, shopping malls etc are all a hop, skip and jump from the house, barely 50 - 100 metres away.
Other things to note
You will have complete access to the kitchen at all times to cook your own meals if you wish or we have our part-time in-house cook for making wholesome meals for you. Lunch and dinner is at Rs 250 to 300 per head, which is fixed Menu ,can be provided on request. A-LA CARTE MENU is also available .

Breakfast is Stuffed Parathas along with tea for Rs 150 per head. Children below 12 years are not charged for breakfast. However A -la-carte menu is available and all the food items are reasonably priced .

In case you have a big SUV, parking can be arranged in a designated parking space two minutes away from the property. A SEDAN can be parked just outside our main gate . We arrange for BONFIRES we have a large sized ANGETHI , and it can be organized in the garden , we charge RS 1500 for it for a period of 2hrs to 2.5 hours .
We Allow pets But , we charge extra for Keeping of the pets at the premises which is at the discretion of the Host , its our request that the pets be toilet trained , and the food arrangements are made by the guests for their pets .
