Welcome to "Josi Whales" Beach Cottage. This home is located on the South end of North Topsail on the NTB - Surf City line where there is plenty of beach, even at high tide. This home has a community beach access directly across the street.

This property was constructed in 2015 and is a 2,200 s.f. three story property with an elevator. The property has wonderful views of both the ocean and the sound and is next to the community swimming pool. The home is tastefully and well furnished with families in mind. The home is just steps away from the beaches of North Topsail Beach and Surf City. The house sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. Please note, that check-in and check-out occurs on Saturdays.

Vacationers will appreciate the high-speed mesh WiFi system. Families will be able to load your luggage and groceries into the elevator which accesses all floors. The first-floor level contains the first of two master bedrooms with ensuite, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, and deck w/ocean views. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed, wall-mounted flat screen TV, and deck w/ sound views. Also on this floor, you'll find a third bedroom with a bunk bed (twin over queen). This room has a flat screen TV mounted and a deck with sound views. This level includes a hall bathroom featuring a shower/tub, and a full-size high efficiency washer and dryer are also featured on this level.

The second floor contains a well-designed family room and kitchen with all of the amenities any family should require for a relaxing stay. There is an 85-inch SMART TV, with ability to connect to your Netflix or other account through the home’s business class Wi-Fi. We also offer YouTube TV.

On the second level, there are 2 large decks with fantastic views of the ocean and sound. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise and your favorite beverage at sunset. The kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. The dining area comfortably seats 10. This level also has a bathroom / powder room.

The third floor includes a king bed, private bathroom with large shower, extra-large tub, double sink, flat screen TV, and private decks with views of the ocean and sound. There is a reading room on the third level that includes a day bed with trundle.

All four bedrooms have sliding glass / screen doors so that any guest can enjoy the sounds of the ocean waves.

After a long day at the beach, please relax in our private fenced backyard which is beautifully landscaped. There is a patio with Adirondack and lounge chairs in addition to a Weber grill. Additionally, you can enjoy your favorite beverage at your very own private Tiki Bar.

We have designed this home to be as user friendly and family friendly as possible. There is keyless entry to avoid the hassle of check-in or getting locked out. The elevator, which goes to all four levels, can accommodate persons with mobility issues, also especially nice for carrying your groceries and luggage.

Linen service is included as follows: all bed sheets, bath towel sets, bathmats and kitchen towels, for those who wish to travel a little lighter. The linens are professionally washed and sanitized by a third-party company on the Island. The house is equipped with some popular children's board games and puzzles. There is a Pack-N-Play and highchair available for use in the home.

Beach access is just a short walk and accessible from two beach accesses located at either end of the neighborhood (3-5 min walk). The beach on this end of island has plenty of accessibility even during high tide. We will have 8 backpack beach chairs, Shibumi (sunshade) and an umbrella located behind the Tiki bar for you to take with you to the beach. Please return them at the end of your stay to the same location. The house has an outdoor shower for ease when returning from the beach. There is plenty of parking to accommodate up to 5 full size vehicles. The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized.

In summary, we welcome you to your next vacation home, Josi-Whales. The home is in a very unique small private community with community pool. Views from this home are some of the best views on the island, especially sunsets and sunrise.

Shopping and grocery amenities are close by. Some restaurants and bars are within walking distance.

Beautiful beach house! The location was perfect and we enjoyed every moment. The house was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The elevator was perfect for those who struggled with the stairs. Family vacation

The house was very clean and the most well stocked home I’ve ever stayed in! The pool was steps away and the beach a very short walk. The hosts were great. I have nothing bad to say and would highly recommend!

This "property" was like being at home. Everything we needed was provided and there was a comfort that is often not there in rentals. Jodi was quickly responsive with the tiny issues that came up. We also loved the area and the location of the home. We are already thinking about next year.

The 4th of JosiWhales

The property is exactly as pictured. It is super clean and the kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with the essentials you would have at home or even the ones you forgot to get from the store: toilet paper, paper towels, soap, detergent, etc. The kitchen pots and pans were also well stocked. We absolutely loved the back porch/patio in the evenings as you get shade and a nice breeze coming from the ocean. We did have an issue at the very beginning of the trip however Jodi and Simon stepped up like the professions they are and completely fixed the issue without any intrusion to our vacation. They were absolutely wonderful and we will rent from them again. Access to the beach is quick and the house provides beach staples: chairs, umbrellas, cart, etc. The home furnishings like chairs, sofas and beds were accommodating for our family and provided more than needed comfort. Actually, my bed was extremely comfortable. Best nights rest I’ve had in a rental in a very long time. Thank you again Jodi and Simon!

Perfect vacation spot

The description of the place was accurate. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook with while we were there. The beds comfortable and not too hard or soft. The views from the decks to the beach were awesome. Overall definitely a place we would come back to with our family. Shopping and restaurants close by. The only downside was the size of the pool. We could live with that though. Adults who were at the pool had a tendency to take the pool over instead of letting the kids get in. Then they would make you feel bad if they got splashed.Also the furniture etc in this house was excellent!

This place is like staying at your friend’s house. It was amazing and the most well stocked home I’ve ever been to. The beds were so comfortable and there were plenty of pillows as well. The beach is just across the street and the pool is right in front of the house. The kitchen had everything you’d need to cook your meals each night which we did. They had more than enough backpack beach chairs. They also had a shibumi shade and a couple boogie boards. My whole group is already wanting to book this same house again next summer.

Hurricane Debby Dint Ruin Our Trip

Beautiful home near the beach. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for the kitchen and going out to the beach. We had plenty of space for the two families we had (4 adults and 3 children). Loved watching the waves from the deck in the morning while drinking coffee. The location is great, across the street there is a fabulous local restaurant called surf city line with amazing food! The walk to the beach is easy enough and takes about 5 minutes..Highly recommend this place and the owners were very responsive but we had no issues. The location is great not crowded and convenient to local shops.

Summertime beach trip!

Great weather, beautiful beach house, very glad grands. Well equipped, lovely decor, pretty landscaping, cute little pool and accommodating owners. Only drawback is the road crossing and nearby construction at beach access.

Family Vacation

We loved our stay in your house! It was so well stocked, especially for those small things you always forget! Having a view of the ocean was so nice for us “older” folks that didn’t make the short walk to the beach every day. We will definitely try to book again for our next family vacation.

Scotch Bonnet-wonderful for our family!

Great family place! Everything we could need. Elevator was a big help for disabled adult.can arrive without 4 chairs or great umbrella…and what you needed was there. Kitchen was well equipped with cleaning products/paper towels. Bathrooms were also well equipped. Owner was helpful!!

Outstanding stay

Communication with the owners was excellent! We so appreciated their concern about our concerns and needs. The cottage was well maintained. We really enjoyed grilling out and watching the sun come up on the front deck and the beautiful sunsets on the back deck.

Beautiful home, great location, it's a no brainer. STAY HERE!

The home was beautiful, well laid out, and in the best location. The views are amazing. Had some slight issues in the bathrooms, but the home owner communicated quickly to get them resolved. The owner even called me to make sure it was handled immediately. Overall my family and i enjoyed and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect stay at the beach

The condo was just as perfect as the pictures. The hosts thought of everything from a full stocked kitchen, travel shampoo/ conditioner (especially helpful in the outdoor shower), games for the kids, and sound machines in each room. The condo has amazing views on both sides of the house with multiple balconies. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway at Topsail. The hosts were very responsive if we needed anything throughout our stay.

Family get together

The house was very comfortable and perfect for our family get together, as everyone came from different parts of the country. The house had everything you could want and there was easy access to the beach. The fenced backyard was a nice space to celebrate our oldest child's 30th birthday. A minor glitch on check-in was promptly taken care of by the owners and they went above and beyond what was expected even though it was through no fault of their own. We very much recommend their beach house.

Even Better Than The First Time

We stayed here 2 years ago and loved it. This time was even better. Everything was very clean and decorated as if you were living there full time. The amenities and little touches by the owners and linen company were awesome. We didn't want to leave, but the kids put up a fight not to leave. A great place for families and kids.
