"The road to get to this property is no joke! The write up on Shelter cove road is spot on. At the end of the road is a hidden gem. Black sand beaches, and quite a view. The property was going thru some renovations, but our room was spacious and clean. Open the door to your balcony, and the ocean is right there. Breakfast at the cafe was also very good, it’s not included with the room. "

"This is a basic “no frills” hotel. There’s not much in the area but it was fairly quiet and the room was clean. The Mexican restaurant next door was awful … food was tasteless and my fish tacos were meh. Don’t bother. Staff at the hotel were very nice. "

"I was here for the Gimme Shelter Eighteenth Annual Kayak Gathering. The location was perfect. I used the oven to bake two native blackberry pies for the event potluck dinner. I parked my car with kayak on top in the provided parking area. It worked out well. I was able to rinse the salt water from my kayak gear with the host's permission after a successful (awesome) day fishing. I had a wonderful time."

"Sleeps 3-5 easily if you share the main beds. Pellet stove very easy to operate and can heat the entire place. Plenty of pillows for the beds and lots of throw pillows too. Quiet location, diner around the corner. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove and microwave. Powerful shower if you like that sort of thing. Nice backyard courtyard to hang out in if the weather is nice. Washer and dryer are a nice plus as well. I’d definitely stay here again."

"The property was very clean and nice. The room was nice and well stocked. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. The hot tub didn’t work at our time of stay. Not a big deal, though. "We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed! One thing to be aware of: the local pickleball community has adopted part of the street leading to the cabin as their courts. They’ll move to let you by, but it gets a bit crowded at times and they’re less than thrilled about stopping play to move their nets. Other than that, it was excellent!"

"My employee and I stayed here one night for two days of work in the Shelter Cove area. This house was really nice, clean and roomy for the two of us. Close to the Cove and the brewery - our favorite place to eat and have a cold one after field work. The neighborhood was quiet, the property behind this house is a bit of an eyesore, but not a big deal for us. I would definitely stay here again."
