This charming 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat is tucked at the end of a private drive, surrounded by a quiet woods. You’ll feel worlds away, yet be just minutes from Door County’s most beloved villages and attractions. Thoughtfully maintained and protected with Mosquito Squad services for your comfort.

    At Hinter Haven Cottage, you can enjoy a peaceful morning coffee, read your favorite book, or simply enjoy the wildlife from the beautiful wrap-around screened in porch.
    Outside, you can shoot hoops, play yard games, swing, BBQ on the grill, hang by the fire or explore the woods. In the evening, you will enjoy roasting marshmallows at the campfire pit. Bring your guitar and sing your favorite camp songs. If it’s cool, gather inside around the fireplace playing games or doing puzzles.

    The main level of Hinter Haven Cottage has a living room with a fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a bathroom. Upstairs, there is a spacious family room, two bedrooms (one with twin & full beds and one with a queen sized bed), and a full bathroom with a washer and dryer. The family room has a sectional, flatscreen TV, DVD player and toy area. There is Wi-Fi internet and a wide selection of DVDs, books, and games.
    Updates in 2020 include new carpet, linens, furniture, flatscreen TV, outdoor firepit, tree swings, and gas grill. You will want to come back to Hinter Haven Cottage again and again!

    Any Old Road is a private drive maintained by the 5 owners. Quiet, relaxing and close to everything you need in Northern Door County.

    There is plenty of downed branches in the woods. Feel free to pick them up and use them for firewood.

This house was exactly what we were looking for to relax after our daughter’s wedding! The house and the grounds were so inviting and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is excellent - and the recommendations of what to do/see very thorough and appreciated. Communication with the host was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be back soon!

Weekend getaway

Great stay for a long weekend. Loved the location- easy access to Peninsula State Park as well as downtown Sister Bay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved sitting on the screen porch!

beautiful destination for family time

This lovely haven was peaceful and provided lots of space and fun games/activities for our family! It was spacious, clean, and had lovely views. Our family hopes to return again to make more memories in the future.

Precious time with family.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient home for gather of my daughters to spend time together and enjoy some shopping. Home was all we could ask for, and hope to stay there next year.

It has everything

The Hinterhaven exceeded our expectations. They had yard games, board games, DVDs, we'll waited kitchen.... Just every thing you could want. And In a very secluded setting.

Great space for friends

We had six girls stay here for a long weekend, and we loved how much space there was to sleep, eat and hang out. It’s safe to say we’d all love to rent this property again. Inside and out, the owners put lots of detail into making the space homey and enjoyable.

The property fully lives up the the photos and information supplied on VRBO. We particularly liked the screened in front porch. Lovely spot, rather remote location with all beaches and towns easily accessible by car.

Wonderful Door Co Getaway

Beautiful home that is thoughtfully furnished with all the amenities you need for a wonderful Door Co vacation getaway. Just minutes from Sister Bay and Fish Creek but located on a quiet country lane. Loved it!
