Wonderful stay at Blue Bay

The property was exactly as described and a perfect villa for our party of 6! Britt was fantastic, providing outstanding advice and a seamless check in and check out. Location was terrific, short walk to the beach (the nicest beach we saw during our visit), nice private villa with excellent amenities. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and will no doubt be back!

Perfection

This property has it all. Everything about it was easy, from communications with Brit, proximity to both the beach and the pool, the very large outdoor living space, I could go on and on. The villa has everything you need to get started on vacation, including coffee, spices, and drinks. Once you get your bearings, the grocery store is a short 5 minute drive away. The location of this villa is perfect, we spent several days exploring the west side of the island and one day exploring the Willemstad area. We enjoyed the Blue Bay beach as well as the restaurants on the beach. Our kids had a blast snorkeling at Blue Bay and several other local beaches. Safety was never a concern for us, everyone was always very kind and friendly. Brit was very easy to work with and was more than happy to make recommendations and answer all questions. Thanks for providing such a great place to stay, we will be back!

Paradise!

Blue bay villa #5 is absolutely amazing. It was so clean and very well maintained. The owner Brit goes above & beyond to make sure the villa is well stocked and she checked in with us to make sure all was going well. She even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. The villa itself is really spacious! We have a family of 4 and it was great to have such a large deck to eat our meals on. There are 2 restaurants and a snack bar that were great but you actually cook all your meals in the villa since its so nice & comfortable. The beach was a 3 minute walk and was unreal. The clearest water, shallow entry, calm and great snorkelling. The kids were able to find all sorts of different fish even in the shallow area. The weather was amazing ! We rented during the initial stages of the corona outbreak and Brit really kept us informed on what was happening on the island. The villa is also in a gated community that is extremely safe. Grocery store is around 5 minutes away and airport around 10 minutes. We would definitely recommended this gem and hope to be back with our family soon! Thanks Brit for an incredible experience!

Great trip in Blue Bay, Curacao

Brit was amazing to work with from start to finish! Very quick to respond to all our questions, small issues that cropped up, and recommend things to do. The unit was well stocked with the basics. Added bonus was the bug spray as the rainy season ran longer than normal! Yes...there are no-see-ums and they loved some of us! The snorkeling at Blue Bay was fantastic. Briit’s brother Wil also helped with lodging and questions. We’re already booked for next year!

Villa #5 Perfect Perfect Perfect

I couldn't have done a better job picking this Villa. The location is perfect. It's 10 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from a great market, and centrally located. We felt very safe in the gated community. I loved that this villa is on the second floor. Provides a little more privacy and a better view. The beach is a short walk and beautiful. Not crowded. The best snorkeling we did was at Blue Bay. Go outside the cove to the right. Amazing. The villa itself is just perfect for two couples and two kids. Has everything you need. Brit is an amazing host. Met us there to show us around and checked in on us during the trip. She even made phone calls for our car rental. Car rental is a must if you want to explore. Villa #5 is kept up very nicely. It shows Brit cares. And it's a great price!! Thank you Brit.

Amazing Family vacation

The accommodations were just as expected. The beach is beautiful and the location worked really well for us. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 young kids. The Villa was the perfect amount of space. We stayed at the Blue bay beach 3 of our 7 days as there are so many great beaches that are worth exploring! We will be coming back for sure. Thank you .

This villa was outstanding in every way.

We stayed at this condo for 3 weeks. This condo had everything you could think of. Brit was very accommodating to us and was a pleasure to work with. She definitely goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is special. From beach towels, to toys for the beach, to golf clubs, to a fully packed Kitchen for all your cooking needs this condo had EVERYTHING! The location at Villa 5 was the perfect location for both the beach and the pool. The views of the golf course and the Pink Flamingo's in the morning were a special treat. The condo was clean and welcoming, we loved it. I will definitely stay here again.

Villa #5 is Excellent!!!

We booked Villa #5 at Blue Bay Beach for two weeks in May 2018. Look no farther…this villa has it all!!! A great host (Brit or Britta), second floor location (good breeze and view of golf course) in a beautiful secured golf course area of Curacao, close to parking and the beach, three air conditioned bedrooms, two full baths and one half bath, a well equipped kitchen (stove top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, large refrigerator and dishwasher), WiFi, living room with TV, large balcony with dining table (6 chairs), setting area and two chase loungers, as well as a washing machine (in storage room) and drying rack (on balcony). The host provides allot of the basics: toilet paper, paper towels, olive oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, herbs, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, detergents (laundry and dishes), liquid soap, repellents etc. Anything that is not there can be acquired at Centrum Piscadera Supermarket (2Km or 1.5 miles from villa). Blue Bay Beach is a close walk and is excellent with crystal clear water (no seaweed or turtle grass). The guys enjoyed their shore dives and I enjoyed snorkeling and swimming every day. We also enjoyed lunches at Azzuro’s Restaurant (located at the beach) and several dinners at the Pictures Restaurant (located in the Bayside Boutique Hotel). I highly recommend this villa and hope we can return in the near future.

very attractive property and a beautiful beach

Brit is everyone's dream for a landlord of rental property. Everything is in topnotch condition and she provides many appreciated amenities plus she is available for suggestions or concerns. The gas grille was wonderful as was the big supermarket nearby. The snorkeling is very good right in the bay and there are ample lounge chairs..Do ring beach shoes for the water because of the stones and rocks and to help you get out of the water because of the dropoff.

Absolutely nice place to stay

We stayed six nights at the villa 5 what actually is a three bedroom condo in a two-story building on the upper floor. The Villa is very clean and cozy and has huge terraces what gives you a private feeling. The managers Brits and Britta were always very helpful and responded any question within minutes. It is a short walk to the beach (about two minutes) and you always find a place in the shade for anytime of the day. Also nice for snorkeling. Our favorite restaurant was the sunset bar and grill at the pier. .The Belgian chef named Lüdo is absolutely brilliant especially with vegetarian dishes. We had our best veggie burger ever. So if you wanna be on a place where you can leave your sorrows at home--- just book it.

Villa 5 - VILLA RIGHT AT BLUE BAY BEACH!

First of all, I'd like to say a big thank you to Brit! You are awesome!!! You are an excellent hostess. Villa 5 was excptional. I stayed with my husband, my 3 kids and my mom for the period 11th - 20th July 2017. The villa was spacious, relaxing, breezy, comfortable, peaceful and just perfect! There were laundry detergents, kitchen essentials, teas, coffees, garbage bags, toys for the kids, sun block, mosquito repelent, bug spray, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lots more. Brit has definately put a lot of thought into what she does. She is exceptional at customer service. We were all very pleased with our package at Villa 5. There were cold beers, juice for the kids, wine, and alcohol awaiting our arrival. The bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful vacation at Villa 5. The Blue Bay Beach on the resort was beautiful. Just want to say a special thank you to Britta (Brit's sister in law) as well as Brit's brother for taking good care of us at the end of our vacation and taking us back to the airport! Most appreciated!!! I would definately recommend Villa 5 at Blue Bay Curacao. Way to go Brit and Johan!!!

Stunning resort and beach

My husband and 2 kids visited Curacao for the fist time. We arrived the fist week of July 2017 and stayed 9 days at Blue Bay Village. Upon arrival, my family was greeted at the gate by Brit, the villa owner. She escorted us the our villa and took us on a tour and answered the questions we had. Brit had nice cold beverages waiting for us in the refrigerator. The villa was adequately stocked with all of the necessities. It was helpful having our own washer. The villa came with lots of games, pool toys and tennis rackets. Brit also gave us some ideas of things to do on the island and recommended some good restaurants. We also used the grocery store which was nearby so that we could prepare some of our own meals. We were steps from the beautiful beach. There were lots of umbrellas if you wanted to have a bit of shade. After visiting the various beaches on the island, we felt Blue Bay was one of the prettiest beaches. Overall, my family and I had a great time and enjoyed Blue Bay. We would like to thank Brit and her husband for all of their generosity during our stay.

Nice Villa in great location on the island!

Spent 8 nights in Villa #5 with a family of 6. Brit was very prompt and easy to communicate with via email or text messages. The villa is just as pictured and includes most everything you would need to cook light meals for a week or so; however, there is no oven, only a large toaster oven. Also, there are no grills on the property. After the stay I emailed Brit a list of a few things that could be fixed or improved upon and she promised to follow-up on those items. Its important to note that the villa (like all the others in Blue Bay) is designed for indoor/outdoor living. ONLY the bedrooms are air conditioned. The bathrooms, living room and kitchen areas are not air conditioned and are not really designed to be cooled using the bedroom air conditioners. With the main doors open and the fans on, most people will find the villa comfortable enough. I did note that not all of the villas have fans on the porch, so that is a bonus in this villa. Our bill was $135 at the end of the week for electric and water. The beach and pool are very close to the villa, and were never crowded during our stay. Curacao is mostly visited by Dutch tourists so the food options at restaurants, including the ones at Blue Bay, will be somewhat unusual to Americans. Service all over the island is much slower than what American are used to - be prepared to be patient! The beach area at Blue Bay is very nice, with walk-up bar service or service on the beach. Prices are high, but about that same as any other location on the island. We rented scuba equipment and dove Blue Bay a number of times. There is not that much to see snorkeling or diving inside the protected cove, but certainly a lot more just outside of it along the wall in about 20 - 60 feet of water. We did discover what is perhaps the best snorkeling spot on the entire island just outside of the cove. If you exit the cove and swim over to the cliff off the far right side along the shore line, you will find one of the most amazing gardens of Elkhorn and other corals anywhere; its a bit of a swim, but well worth it! The Centrum supermarket is very close to Blue Bay and has most everything you will need. Blue Bay is in a good central location for exploring the island, a rental car is a must. Both the north end and the east side of Williamstad take between 30 and 45 minutes depending on traffic.

Vacation Paradise

Prior to our arrival, the owner (Brit) was very helpful in answering questions and getting us organized. Everything went smoothly from getting through customs to getting to the Villa. The Villa is even better than pictured located a short 1 minute walk from either the beach or the pool. It was truly our paradise for the week. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Brit and Johan. They explained everything to us, gave us lots of ideas on best places to go and explore. To our surprise there were welcome drinks already cooling in the refrigerator, which was a really welcome gesture! Blue Bay is an ideal anchor point from which to explore the island. There is a great supermarket just 5 minutes by car and the island is very easy to navigate. If you are looking for something different that the beach, drive to Westpunt, there are many beautiful bays and in particular Shete Boka and Cristoffel national parks are worth the visit. Willemstad is only a 15 minute drive and we celebrated out anniversary at Gouverneur restaurant. Be sure to explore the area across the Queen Emma foot bridge (especially colorful at night) We spent most of our beach time at the Blue Bay Beach itself, it is one of the most beautiful beaches on Curacao. It has a wide sandy beach, beautiful palm trees where you can lie in the shade, plenty of sunbeds which are included. Brit was very responsive throughout our stay responding to our questions on what to do and where to find things. Even went out of her way to pick up a specific souvenir that we were looking for and helping us find a local Artist (thank you). Can't say enough about their hospitality, it really made for an enjoyable experience. We had a fantastic vacation, only drawback was too short. Already planning next trip, Thanks Brit!!

Complete relaxing vacation

The Villa was exactly what we wanted (and needed) for our week in Curacao. It was in a good location on the island allowing us to easily day trip north towards Westpunt or south to Willemstad and beyond. The beach at Blue Bay was lovely and snorkeling there offered some of our favorite moments of the whole trip. Brit, you've done a great job being clear about what the villa offers and it's location.
