La Grange: duplex apartment overlooking the valley in a typical Pays Niçois village

La Grange is a self-contained apartment in a village house accessible only by the sloping streets of the village, a few minutes from the road. The view of the valley is absolutely unique and calm assured.
The Estéron valley is a particularly quiet mid-mountain valley, allowing hiking, swimming in one of the cleanest rivers in the Alpine arc, visits to typical villages of the Nice region, occasionally cultural activities in summer.
It is located near the Côte d'Azur, an hour's drive from Nice and served by several daily public transportation. It is also an hour's drive from the gates of the Mercantour Natural Park which covers part of the Alpes Maritimes department.
The village of Sigale is a well-preserved medieval village with a very beautiful heritage: the Romanesque Church of Saint Michel and Saint Blaise, listed and with a large number of listed objects, the listed Chapel of Notre-Dame d'Entrevignes with frescoes visible from the outside, a listed fountain, sloping streets and a local museum, "Lou tems passa".
The particularly clear sky allows beautiful night observations immediately near the accommodation.

There are no shops in the village, only a bar restaurant.
The nearest mini-market and gas station are in Roquestéron (5km in the direction of Nice).
Street vendors are there occasionally during the week:
-bread on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 12 noon,
-vegetables on Saturday all morning,
-small grocery store on Saturday at 12 noon.
Market on Wednesdays in Roquestéron (5km in the direction of Nice), market of organic and local products on Saturday mornings in the place called Le Pâli (5km in the direction of Puget-Théniers)

The Grange is a duplex:
At the entrance level are the kitchen area, the bathroom and access to the terrace.
On the lower level, a single room with a lounge area overlooking the valley separated by a low wall from a bedroom area with double bed and a wardrobe at your disposal. The decoration is as simple and warm as possible, books are available in French and English.
