Sierra Madre

My family and I were visiting for a wedding in LA. Very beautiful place with a very beautiful view of the mountains. Had a little trouble with VRBO app between the host and I initially, but all was figured out after contacting her directly. Loved the town which was right down the street. The pool was very nice and refreshing as well as the spa. Such a lovely area and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home/communication nightmare

Our host was Jammie and it was a nightmare. We paid our deposit immediately and we were told on 6/15 that our reservation was confirmed. On 8/6 we got a cancellation notice from the other host, Truc. On 8/8 I paid an added fee and seconds later got a late fee notice. I have done hours of work making sure our trip on 8/17 would work out for our grown kids and grandchildren. Jobs and sports were worked around, 9 Dodger tickets had been purchased and flights had already been booked. Jammie and I had many hard times communicating and when she finally sent the expectations it was written in caps with some misspellings so I had a difficult time understanding while feeling she was shouting at me. Make sure to read the fine print. There is a fee for each day that you heat the hot tub and a separate fee for heating the pool each day. You aren’t supposed to move indoor or outdoor furniture but if you have kids swimming folding outdoor chairs would be a plus. Also parking in the left side of the garage takes talent and Sierra Madre doesn’t allow overnight parking. The church shown in the listing for parking is an uphill hike to the house. In closing I’ll say that I’m really glad that I took screenshots of all of the communication dealing with this house on VRBO. We won’t ever stay here or recommend this house to anyone. It’s a wonderful place to be but not worth the stress and anxiety it cost me.

Graduation Celebration

My family had a wonderful stay in Sierra Madre while visiting the Pasadena area for graduation celebrations this June. This was a rare property that exceeded the listing pictures and description. The living area and kitchen were spacious and nicely appointed; the bedrooms and baths were clean and comfortable; and the outdoor living space provided a great spot for relaxing around the pool and spa. The location in Sierra Madre offered picturesque views in a walkable, quiet neighborhood with access to the Mount Wilson Trailhead. Truc and property managers were attentive and responsive to our questions. It really was the perfect house in the perfect location for our stay.

Great spot for a family gathering!

We had a wonderful stay here! It was perfect spot for our extended family to gather and celebrate the holidays. We appreciated how much common space there was, both indoor and outdoor. And the location is fantastic. Walkable to parks, shops, and hiking, and an easy drive to Pasadena and other places in LA. Highly recommend!

Sierra Madre stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable, nestled in a quiet lovely neighborhood. The town is minutes away with lots to do and see. We enjoyed the surrounding areas as well. The host was extremely pleasant and responsive to our inquiries. I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Sierra Madre. The neighborhood is wonderful, house is comfortable and well equipped, and the pool is a great bonus. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend.

The Sierra Madre house was fine but I was shocked by all the added on fees. When the bill was paid, it cost me more than double what was listed as the daily rate. In very fine print they charged $30 per person per night even though it advertises that it sleeps 15. In reality it only sleeps 10. Then there was a host fee,service fee and cleaning. We had to borrow an airbed for my son from relatives who live nearby even though I paid the extra charges. The double bunk beds really only hold one person each except for maybe two small children. The house was clean and well stocked with dishes and towels. The pool was great with the heated water since it was unseasonable cold for June.

Amazing stay in Sierra Madre!

We came to Sierra Madre for a wedding and this house couldn’t have been more perfect! Comfortably fit our large group, amazing kitchen and gathering space, and a lovely backyard and pool that was perfect for lounging. The surrounding area is also absolutely stunning and made morning walks around the neighborhood a must. Absolutely would stay here again - Tammy was very communicative and overall a great host!

A true gem!!

My friends and I celebrated my birthday with a girls weekend at this property. It was absolutely fantastic! Truc was PHENOMENAL, she was immediately available for anything that we needed and checked to make sure we were happy. Communication with her was super easy, she explained everything in detail. The property was clean, well stocked, very inviting and the decor was completely modern. The kitchen was a treat! Truc stocked everything you think you need. The floor plan is open concept and so inviting…it’s an entire vibe!! The pool, jacuzzi and backyard are perfect for relaxing and the view…it is breathtaking!!! I will definitely be a return guest. Don’t waste a second deciding on booking this property…it’s worth the investment and you won’t be sorry!!❤️

Our stay turned out well in Trucs beautiful home. Other than the mishaps that happened, we enjoyed out stay. Very lovely home. Truc is a gracious, attentive, accommodating hostess. The only thing I would have to say as a con, would be that our hostess would most likely have to hire a different cleaning crew. They are not doing what they are getting paid for.
