"I absolutely loved this hotel and the location! The staff was always very kind and very accommodating. I absolutely loved the breakfast buffet, it was well-maintained and everything was always fresh. I loved the hotel room. I only wish there was air-conditioning but other than that everything was great."

We expected quite simple / basic accommodation and were pleased to find it as anticipated - a small cabin like bedroom simply fitted out but completely adequate and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was broken, and with no lift, I had to ask for help carrying my luggage upstairs due to a hidden disability — initially refused until I explained why. The only fix offered was one remaining small desk fan; staff were pleasant, but that leaves other guests with broken AC with nothing. "I always choose this place whenever I need a stopover in the Midlands! It has consistently proven to be one of my absolute favorite hotels in the region. I genuinely enjoy every single stay. "The Belfry trades heavily on its famous name, but the experience doesn’t justify the premium price. My room was clean but very dated, with no air conditioning and only a noisy fan that made sleeping difficult even before the real issue started. The biggest disappointment was the late-night noise. "It's quite a basic hotel but great for an overnight or short stay. It was comfortable, clean and had what we needed. Walls are a little thin so sound travels. Staff were very friendly and helpful."
