Relax at the Sunny Cottage; sleeps 6.

Enjoy an all-natural pine interior throughout! The sunroom has a vaulted ceiling with large smart TV, WiFi and games provided. 2nd living room has a plush queen futon seating and desk space. The shower and bathroom has plush towels plus soaps provided.

The fully kitchen is stocked with dishes and leads to another living space with desk & futon to sleep 2, plus there are two bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed soft linens and dark curtains 2 full. Bedroom 2 has a full bed with soft linens darkening curtains and dresser Outside the manicured lawn is set to relax with fire pit, grill, picnic table, or play games provided!
Shawano Public Beach and boat launches is less than 1mile away to swim or rent boats from American Marina as well.

Arrived on a Friday. Found the cottage very clean and neat. Had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Plenty of room for the four of us. We used the grill and fire pit. We all had a wonderful time at the Sunny Cottage. Highly recommend!!

The perfect home base for a classic weekend in Wisconsin

This cottage is is super comfortable/clean, in a great location, with nice amenities to boot. I hosted a bachelor party for my best friend, and everyone kept saying how great the place was. You walk in, and it's exactly what you expect all the best parts of lake cabin should be. We spent a ton of time hanging out around the fire pit. It's also a 2 - 12 minute drive from anything you'd want to do in Shawano. There's a supper club across the street that has live music on Saturday nights, as well a family owned dive bar that's perfect for a laid back, late night beer. Some of the other things I appreciated were the amount of extra towels, lots of fans and three A/C units, all the kitchen utensils you'd need, and comfortable furniture. I would definitely come back with my family for a relaxing weekend in the fall or winter too.

Shawano July 2024 visit

The cabin was perfect for 3 people. The dog loved it. It was weĺl-stocked and we didn't lack for anything. While there are many,houses around us, the neighborhood was quiet. Sarah was easily accessible and very helpful. The county park down the road was excellent and clean.

Not as Advertised: Disappointed and Deceived

Disappointment, deception, false advertising: Hours before, told we couldn’t use the dock - had to pry it out of host. Had to cancel our boat rental without dock use. Had to walk two football fields to a shorline we ccoulldn't use with no amenities. A review of this place on another competing website talks about being able to use kayaks, owner said she’d get them out, but then refused, find out that review was from one of her friends - no wonder it was deceivingly positive, and the cottage was just bought in April and is an obvious rental. (simple public records/online sleuthing) Not pet friendly, very busy noisy road steps away from cabin, our dogs were scared – don’t plan on sleeping soundly either – feels like you’re on the road with the noise, not on the lake. Neighbors don’t like this host, scowls, mean, – prison-like stay off our property signs are all over the property line. The lot is the size of a postage stamp just like the size of the place itself – no quiet privacy or yard. Front door goes into bedroom. Ridiculously small interior. Kitchen with 20” to walk through and not clip yourself on an appliance - got hurt. That even legal? Interior looks nice, but spiders inside and this place smelled gross. You can barely see the lake past the mean neighbors - better view of traffic blaring by. Sleeps 6 if you don’t mind tripping on friends. Wanted taste of lake life, view of water, quiet lap of waves on the shore, not a cheap roadside wannabe rip-off. Avoid!
