Our kids said it was the most memorable vacation yet. We were blessed with an unexpected snow storm, we saw caves, hiked mountain rivers, and had an amazing helicopter ride.The house was amazing and the process simple. I would advise getting to the property in daylight, the trek up the mountain in the dark was a but daunting at night!The hot tub and indoor pool left no moment without fun. Ten out of ten recommended for any family with kids, or a large group.

The house was beautiful, new, and up to date. The furniture was very nice. The amenities like indoor pool and hot tub were great. The drive up from the very secure gated entrance was definitely worth it for the VIEWS. Highly recommen!

This property has beautiful views and is clean and well kept. The vistas are breathtaking and you can clearly see why the mountains are named the Great Smokies. The hosts were responsive.I will mention two challenges that might be useful for others. First, the property description states that it is wheelchair accessible, saying “You can enter the main level of the house via wheel chair and have access to the master bedroom, living room and kitchen area as well as the outside deck and porch.” This is somewhat true, although there is a small section between the driveway and the patio covered in stones. A family member damaged his mobility scooter (connections came loose that took time to fix) navigating this. Also, to be very clear, the house is not handicap accessible by ADA standards — there are no grab bars in the main bath, for example.Second, I feel the description of the mountain road is insufficient to indicate how difficult it is. You will want a 4WD vehicle. I was most unhappy without one in wet and windy weather.One morning the road was covered with leaves; driving a large SUV without being able to see the borders of the road, on tight steep turns with sharp drops, was stressful. For context, I’ve driven on steep mountain roads in many places. In my view, the roads are not comfortably ‘accessible with any vehicle’ as stated in the description. In fact, given a forecast for unexpected snow, we relocated to a hotel in Pigeon Forge for safety.

The views from this property are absolutely amazing! My family and I enjoyed every day at this property from the pool, hot tub and even got a visit from a black bear right on the front porch our first evening there. It did no harm and was just curious about the new renters! We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to booking in the future. Thank you for a beautiful week!

Best view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and even provided some unexpected surprises such as coffee pods! View cannot be beat! Slightly steep drive up but very manageable without snow; and well worth the million dollar view!! Indoor pool was terrific. Comfortable mattresses too. Owners were very responsive to questions. We would definitely return!

Amazing mountain getaway!

The views are spectacular and the sunsets are not to be missed. We looked forward to seeing the colorful sky every evening. The pool is simply fantastic, especially for families and children. Our kids enjoyed both the big and little pool at the house. This was a nice way to spend the day after the hustle and bustle of downtown Pigeon Forge. The house is decorated beautifully, and also comfortable. The outdoor decks are lovely and we felt safe on them with the kids. As others have stated, the drive up the mountain is a little intimidating at first, as it should be since driving up mountains isn’t something you normally do. However, we quickly got used to it and ventured up and down the mountain to Pigeon Forge on a daily basis. We did not do the drive at night since we were always home to see the sunset. We did see a bear on our first morning there. This was the only bear sighting during our week there. They really aren’t a problem if you are being mindful. We had a wonderful trip and this home played a big part in it!

Rest for the Weary

We could not have picked a more perfect home to stay in! We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and three birthdays. We relaxed, had fun and had just an amazing time! Jim and Jessica made sure that our stay was everything that you could hope for. We were sad to leave and can't wait to visit again!

Memories to last . . .

Hosts were very gracious and responsive, thank you Jim and Jessica for sharing your wonderful home with us. We enjoyed every minute from our arrival through departure. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of ten. Outside activities were limited due to wind and cold snap but inside was cozy with the fireplaces and heated pool. We found everything needed for cooking Thanksgiving feast in the well appointed kitchen. We definitely want to come back.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Phoenix Lodge. The view was unbelievable as advertised. The lodge was beautifully decorated and had lots of room for all of us. Our grandkids enjoyed the pool. Great vacation spot

This place was perfect for our family get away. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. Cabin was very open and spacious. The indoor pool was a hit! Very good communication with hosts/property manager.

Pool and hot tub dissappointing

Looked like it still needed work outside. The biggest dissappoi ntment was the pool . We were not told till second day that there was an issue of a leak we were losing water. They did bring water to fill the pool but the pool also had something floating on the top. Also hot tub was dirty or had sand in it. Needed a new top and had foam parts missing for your head. We specifically booked this cabin for the pool and hot tub. Other than that it was a beautiful place 😟

Mountaintop Family Getaway

Phoenix Lodge was perfect for our family of 9! Beautiful views everywhere and comfortable seating and great bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool and hot tub were added bonuses! The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our visit! Highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

Our family of 8 ranging from 9 to 80 had a great stay at Phoenix Lodge! Enough bedrooms and baths plus private spaces. House is beautiful and very clean. Pool was a big hit. Views are fabulous. The 2 bears we saw were a plus. We arrived the day after a bad storm with trees down and no electric. The host was completely on top of the issues. Excellent communication throughout our stay.

Four generations of family vacation with lots of memories made!

The house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need. We had family from 11 months to 83 years old. The little kiddie pool next to the big pool was perfect for our youngest grandson and he was banging on the door to get to the pool right after breakfast. Our other grandkids were in the pool from morning until night and did not like to get out to do anything. My adult kids enjoyed the downstairs and outdoor spaces and chairs. My mom is in a wheelchair and the house was perfect for her and my dad to watch a sunset from the porch or watch their great grandkids in the pool. They felt very much included in everything. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. The owners were quick to respond and very helpful. No bear sightings while we were there but that’s ok! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
