Great getaway

This is a great gem hidden away in the mountains. Quiet and peaceful. 10-20 minutes away from food and entertainment. Everything was great. The only issues were that the tub drained slow and the bed was no very comfortable. Easy fixes. We would definitely stay again.

This day was very enjoyable for my fiance and myself. The location was great

My fiance and I had a really great stay. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Never could get the Wi-Fi password but it was okay. The location was great we spent a lot of time in Pigeon Forge and drove a little ways and spent a whole day in Gatlinburg and then most the next day at Cades Cove. In all it was a very enjoyable trip

Smokey Mountains Cabin

The place was pretty clean, there were a few things that bothered me. I don’t think the small area rugs were vacuumed. There was a few clumps of very long hair on it. The bedroom door doesn’t meet the floor perfectly. It got pretty cold in there at night. We put a towel under it and that helped. The bed was ok, the wifi worked good. Having a washer and dryer was a help. I sent a text to the property manager requesting toilet paper, as we had one roll for 3 days. I never heard from them. We had some in our car. Otherwise I would have had to buy some.

Looks nothing like the pictures

Looks nothing like the pictures. It’s dirty past the point of what a cabin should be. The bedroom is a old sun porch that they finished the walls off on. You walk into the room and feel like the room is falling off the side of the mountain. It’s so bad that they had to lift the head of the bed up about 4-6in to make you feel level. The house keeping people leave creep notes and ask for tips for the job that they didn’t do so well at. Light switches only work If you wiggle them till the lights come on ect. I could go on but that’s all. I would use other cabins over the one called Gettin lucky.

Excellent getaway

Far enough from the main strip and dollywood to be super quiet but still only a 5 minute drive. No complaints. Place was good price and staff was easy to get ahold of if needed.

Getaway

My husband and I spent a few night here for a weekend getaway. The bed needs an update. It is so uncomfortable. The bedroom looks like it used to be part of the back porch that they enclosed. It has a ceiling fan but no vents for air. It was hot in the bedroom, even with the ceiling fan going. The dishwasher looks like it could be replaced. It did not look clean at all. There is no cable in this cabin, you get maybe 10 channels. So if your looking for somewhere to just hang out in the cabin and relax, this would not be. We were gone all the time so that wasn’t too much of an issue. There is also a washer and dryer in the cabin that was not listed kn the description.

It had a nice size living area, cute decor, and available washer and dryer. The shower head is too low, the towels are small and worn out (with a hole in one of them). The hot water tank size is not enough to fill up the big soaker tub in the living room. We spent more time out doing things than in the cabin. A few updates would make me want to hang around more.

The cabin had a musty old smell when you ran the water or hot tub it smelt like sewage the fridge and freezer smelt as well the towels were so stiff I couldn't tell if they were clean the cabin is very dated from the 70s needs a major remodel the bed was so bad we probably should have slept in car and maybe we could have got some sleep i would not recommend this for anyone and deserve at least half my money back i will also never use this company again

Devil in the Details

I’ll start with, we booked this haphazardly, it was a last-minute opportunity for us to get away. (Booked Thursday before arriving Friday). Apparently I overlooked, or misread (maybe was misled) as to the cost and amenities for this rental experience. First, it got 3 stars because it was clean, smelled good, and cute. However, things went downhill after that. Literally. Description boasts of a "sliding barn door" on bedroom. Yes, you will be sliding, /when you enter the bedroom because it’s on a downward slope, making you sleep inverted. Desc. states “internet, TV, satellite or cable.” Sketchy, there was one tv in the LR that ONLY had channels 2-10. Colonial Properties called, very friendly, to ask if we had made it into the cabin alright. I said, “yes” and asked about the internet/wifi and channels, to which she answered, “no not in the area, and no channels other than the local ones.” So you get 8 channels total with channel 10 being a high-pitched screech. At the time I chalked this up to my mistake for not reading the description closer (later I reread it), but it was actually a misrepresentation on their part. Did I mention, when I booked this, it was advertised as a little over $xxx/night- but the actual total was more than TRIPLED. After spending that much for one night, you WILL be compelled to try jacuzzi (since no hot tub). That spacious LR will work against you here. To fill tub it takes a while because hot water heater will only provide so much at a time. Turned on jet timer (50 ft from tub in "spacious LR") and was subjected to an exciting water park experience. If you want the ride to stop, you have to wait out the timer because you might flood the room with force of jets. There's a mirror next to tub so you can witness your pulverization with lukewarm water. Suggestions: higher capacity hot water heater, level bedroom floor (or level bed), a recliner or loveseat in LR with reading light if you can't get actual internet/wifi and increased selection of "cable/satellite" channels in that area. Need to tweak your description to be more accurate.
