You enter on the upper level to a beautiful living area with panoramic windows and views of the Smoky Mountains. Two levels of wraparound deck outside

You will have the place to yourself. Checkin is via a door code generated and sent to you the evening before checkin.

We are located in the Shagbark community, which is a couple miles of mountain roads. They may feel a little intimidating the first time you drive it if you've never been to the mountains before. Nothing too serious, and any vehicle can handle it. However if it's icy/snow you will want to have 4WD/AWD so plan accordingly!

There is parking for 3 cars comfortably.

Located in the gated community of Shagbark which has community amenities such as a pool (open seasonally), disc golf course, and more. Please note there is a one time $10 fee per car collected in advance.

Just a short drive from Pigeon Forge or beautiful Wears valley (and the much less crowded Metcalf bottoms back entrance to the GSMNP)

ALL GUESTS MUST BE 22 YEARS OF AGE TO STAY HERE UNLESS WITH PARENTS

Our listing uses dynamic pricing which means the prices are subject to change. If you like the price you see, book it as we cannot honor previous prices after it has changed.

The cabin is in the WOODS! You may see or hear bears and critters

No candles or flames allowed inside, aside from fire place.

No refunds for bad weather

Bath towels and bed linens are provided but bring your own towel for pool use

A starter supply of TP, paper towel, dish soap are provided but you will probably need to buy more. Soap, shampoo, ziplocks, food, spices, etc are not provided.

Host is not responsible for pool opening/closures.

The fireplaces are currently for decorative purposes only and not operational.

This cabin was as described and perfect for a family getaway in the mountains. The host was very quick to respond to communications. The mountain views from the cabin are phenomenal and the mountainside community is charming.

Overall, it was a great stay! Highly recommend this cabin. The cabin’s location was very convenient and offered amazing views both on the drive up and from the cabin itself. The host was very prompt in responding to any questions I had and quickly addressed any concerns. The cabin was also very clean upon our arrival.

Things didn't go that well

Firstly, the following things went well: 1. Gated Community - Seamless in and out 2. Security present at the gate 24x7 3. Owner / Property Manager (I am not sure who) - extremely responsive until late in the night 4. Nice game room for kids 5. Roku TV in each and every room Things that were not good: 1. There were 2 decks at 2 levels but both were very, very dirty with cobwebs all over. We didn't even sit outside due to that 2. Exterior of the property not maintained at all. Looked very neglected from outside 3. Parking can be quite tricky. Very limited space for even 1 car and inconvenient as well 4. They listed interior bathtubs having jets. Both interior bathtubs have jets for sure but none of them work 5. Showers were not good 6. Last but not the least - One primary reason to book this was the hot tub on the deck. Kids were looking forward to it but we tried to get it work the 2nd evening for quite a while but the temp never rose. Our 2nd evening was completely wasted due to this. I contacted the manager and she responded but we could not get it to work. On top of that it looked like a very old hot tub as well. I sincerely feel we deserve a partial refund to be honest!

Family vacation

We came for a vacation with our two children (6 and 2), and my In-laws. The property was overall not quite what we expected based on the listing and prior reviews, but it still made for a pretty nice getaway for a few days. The good: Communication with the property manager was excellent, we got a lot of detailed information prior to our trip as well as check out instructions the day before departure. We also had a fairly good view (would def be better in late fall or winter), and we liked having Roku tvs in all the rooms. The mattresses were comfy, and was also nice that the stairwell had a built in gate with a latch. We enjoyed visiting the community pool. The not so good: The layout didn’t work really well for us; the kitchen was quite small. The logistics of the gate opening into the stairwell (rather than away from) was cumbersome and difficult to navigate safely with kids. There were a lot of items in the home that were in disrepair (noisy metal headboards in 2 rooms, broken blinds in one room, broken towel bar in one bathroom, various knobs coming off of closets/cabinets). We don’t mind dated or older places but some upkeep was definitely in order. The tubs/showers were also deep and difficult to get in and out safely. The parking area was quite steep (downhill) and small, not enough room for vehicles to park side by side. Although it is a pet friendly home we did not find sufficient space on the property or on the road (due to the narrow road) to walk the dog.

Wonderful stay

House was exactly as described in listing. Very peaceful, perfect views. Home is well kept and all amenities listed worked well. Beds are firm but i awoke refreshed daily. Will likely book again in the fall. Host checked in to see if anything was needed. Highly recommend

Relaxing vacation

It was easy to get to and very quiet. The only thing was the bathroom tub for me as I am older it was hard to climb into the tub to shower and the kitchen was cute but small. Over all we loved the cabin.
