The Smoky Mountains is our favorite family vacation destination, the place we feel most at home. After 17 years of vacationing here we decided to build a cabin for our family to share with all of you! We love the peacefulness of Douglas Lake, and the easy access to so many attractions and mountain towns!

Welcome to our Alpine Escape, a cozy cabin on Douglas Lake! Sip your coffee or soak in the hot tub while enjoying serene mountain and lake views. Far enough out to be peaceful yet convenient to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (25 miles), Sevierville (downtown 12 miles), Pigeon Forge (18 miles), Dollywood (15 miles) and Gatlinburg (24 miles)! Our cabin is only 2 miles off of main highway 411, and you can get to many attractions without parkway traffic!

Inside the Alpine Escape: Relax in the cozy open living space with amazing views. Living room has a 50” smart TV. Enjoy a fully furnished kitchen for preparing meals, including a dishwasher for easy clean up. Open shelving for easy access to dishes. Drainboard sink with granite countertops, electric cooktop and oven. 1 king bedroom on the main level with a 32” smart TV, open hanging space and shelves for storage. USB outlets on each side of the king bed with floating night stands. In the bathroom you find a rain shower with tile floor and metal walls, front load washer/dryer combo, hanging rack to dry clothes, boat hooks to hang towels, and shelves/countertop for plenty of storage! Up the narrow spiral staircase is a loft open to below. In the loft there is 2 queen beds! Stepping out to the front porch for a relaxing outdoor space including a charcoal grill, 2 log chairs, 3 person swing, 4 person hot tub, and a wood burning fire pit with log stump seats. Come make your best Smoky Mountain memories at our Alpine Escape!

We provide a starter pack that includes: Bathroom: Hotel Size: 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 body wash, 1 lotion, 2 disposable makeup wipes, 1 bar of soap, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 4 unscented laundry pods
Kitchen: 4 dishwasher tabs, 1 new sponge, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 small bottle of dish soap, 2 trash bags

Lines included are: All bed linens (4 pillows on king bed, 2 pillows on each queen bed), 6 bath towels, 6 wash cloths, 1 bath floor towel, 2 hand towels, 2 kitchen towels

BOAT LAUNCH: Do NOT tie up watercraft next to ramp. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult while at boat launch.
The boat launch key must be on key holder of our cabin upon your checkout or there will be a $100 charge to replace the key.

Magical place! View of the lake was wonderful. Cabin had all of the amenities. We loved the garage door and feeling connected to the outdoors. Thankfully it was chilly enough to keep bugs away.

This cabin was very easy to find, and is in a very serene location. We rented this for my granddaughter‘s 14th birthday. It is a short drive to Dollywood from this cabin. We spent a day in Dollywood and the grandkids 13 eight and 10 spent the evening in the hot tub relaxing. I cannot wait to stay here again.

Overall a Great Cabin

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was super clean and had some nice views of the lake. There are some things to be aware of depending on your situation. - The Spiral staircase is quite narrow so be aware if you plan on brining a suitcase to the loft area. - There were trash bags and some basic supplies provided but 2 trash bags for a week is not enough. The supplies provided seemed stingy. I am fine providing my own but when you arrive and have some of those things ready my expectation would be there was enough for the stay or set the expectation up front that guests provide these. - The driveway is steep and if you have a car you may bottom out the front end if it’s lower to the group. (We did on our suv when I didnt back out of the driveway but turned around and drove out) - The cabin is a bit out of town so if you plan on being out during the day, be prepared to drive. However, what you get is a quiet area to relax and enjoy being away from the city.

Escape to Alpine Escape

Everything about our stay was 5-star. The host was gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. The view was relaxing and so very peaceful. I’d forgotten how dark nighttime can be. The rental process was flawless. Sevierville is perfectly located to so many attractions and dining options. Southern hospitality is the best!

Perfect getaway

We had a very relaxing weekend away at this charming cabin in a beautiful setting. The cabin is exceptionally well maintained and clean. Great views of the lake and mountains. Nothing better than soaking in the hot tub after exploring the Smokies. Loved having a ninja blender and coffee pot. Y'all have covered all the bases, thank you for opening up your little piece of paradise for us to enjoy. Can not wait to get back!

We enjoyed waking up to the lake views… The cabin was a great size for the 2 of us. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely return, Kristy the host was phenomenal with providing details and information on cabin and surrounding areas. A++++++
