We had the greatest time!! Owners were awesome and everything was just as described. Would highly recommend this cabin. Make sure you understand the warning of the driveway. It is a steep one!!

Clean and spacious home. Beautiful views and peaceful. We seen Mamma bear and 3 cubs right at the house and a few others. Also seen a Bobcat. Like the rental says if you dont have 4wd you will not make it up the driveway..We had plenty of room and really enjoyed it. The place is nicely decorated too. The only thing I seen was the pool sticks for the pool table were in bad shape..

The pictures of the views do not do this place justice. The cabin was super nice and spacious and very clean. As mentioned in other reviews, the driveway is a bit steep and you definitely would do better with an all-wheel drive or 4wd. My mom has a Honda Pilot that made it up just fine (all wheel drive). My husbands Dodge Ram does not have 4WD but made it up just fine. We really enjoyed the peaceful time sitting on the porch. We even had a visit from a bear a few times. The cabin was off the beaten path but close to all of the attractions we visited.

The house and stay were amazing. Right in the heart of everything you would want to see in heart of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Also, tons of great spots to stop and hike in the Smokey's close to the area. The house is beautiful and the views from the balcony were amazing. Would definitely recommend the house and when we return to the area, this will be the first place I look for. A wonderful, relaxing vacation!!!

Its a beautiful cabin with everything you need. Very quite area with nice views. The driveway is steep, but it isn't bad with a 4x4 vehicle. I became an expert driving up it after a few times. We enjoyed watching the bears from the upper deck and we did see a mama bear with 3 cubs playing in the road. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful cabin and great location! The description is accurate about the driveway. You do need an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Great vacation and wedding weekend!

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

This was a beautiful cabin, and a beautiful location! My wife and I enjoyed the amazing view from our balcony every day. The steep driveway was certainly a bit challenging at first, but got easier as the week went on. Would highly recommend!

Great Mountain Experience!

Was accommodating for infants and children. Great location to the National park. We used the grill and the grill scent does bring our bears! Saw one checking out the grill afterwards in the evening!

Perfect family getaway

The cabin is beautiful, and just as pictured. The driveway is not for the faint of heart, but once you drive it a few times-it’s not so bad. Very quiet neighborhood, with beautiful views. We even saw a mama bear and her three cubs while there! The location of the cabin is close to everything. Communication with the owner was simple, easy, and effective. She responded to every message I had within a few hours. Truly a great experience.

Beautiful mountain cabin

This was a beautiful mountain cabin with a stunning view, plenty of space, and well stocked kitchen. It felt very private. The hot tub was great! The driveway was a challenge for those from the flatlands, and we found that 4 wheel drive or minimum of rear wheel drive were a must for this location. The proximity to Pigeon Forge and GMSNP worked great for our group.

Bird Eye View

The cabin was amazing. It was like sitting in bird house on the mountain side. The driveway was like a mountain climb at the top. But well worth it. We were blessed to have a dog show up and protect us from a baby black bear one morning.

Absolutely Beautiful Cabin

This cabin looks just like the pictures, it’s truly gorgeous! The views are breathtaking! The kitchen is well stocked, and the owners paid close attention to details downs to the beautiful light fixtures throughout. Beds are comfortable! We never waited long for a response to our many questions while planning our trip. We would most definitely rent from these owners again and look forward to visiting real soon in the future ! Thank you Gary for everything you did to make our vacation enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Lodge! The entire place is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is awesome. The views are absolutely gorgeous!!! My husband and I brought his Mother in celebration of her 90th birthday. The Smoky Mountain fall weather was “porch-sittin’ perfect”! We even discovered we could easily “spot” Sunset Lodge from the Foothills Parkway. The steep driveway was even steeper than we had imagined. But our Ram 2500 had NO PROBLEM conquering the driveway. Me? Well, I just closed my eyes and pretended I was on a steep roller coaster ride. No problem at all! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.

Driveway is a hazard. We had to spend the first night in a hotel and then rent a 4 wheel drive.

Abysmal getting to it. The house was nice enough, We have stayed in other places in Wears Valley with much better results. Would not rent this property again.

Amazing house in the mountains

We would definitely stay here again. The driveway is something. I am surprised there isn’t a rail on the one side and the electrical box being at the top. Beautiful views that high up. Gorgeous home and loved the size of the kitchen. It was so handy having the grill on the deck right off the kitchen. Thanks for letting us stay and being able to use your property!!

Spectacular Vacation Home

“The Views” and the home itself… everything was perfect! Our family fit comfortably with so much space to spread out and relax or play games. The Kitchen is so fabulous we never even went out to eat. Our minivan did not make it up the driveway which we were completely aware was a possibility prior to arrival so we parked on the pad at the bottom and my son in laws Nissan did make it up, so he was our shuttle all week! All in all amazing house, hope we can rent it again!!
