Seth, Nuala and David all made a point of stopping by to see how we were settling in and it was lovely to read the history behind the creation of the villas. We have stayed in high end / middle of the road / & budget hotels all around the world & The Devon would be right up there value for money & way ahead of some we have paid a lot more for .. Very comfortable bed & great facilities . Staff v helpful . Great bar & extensive buffet at Marbles - buffets not my favourite way to eat , but this one had a v good range which was rapidly replenished...

"Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "
