A designer 2 Bedroomed seafront Penthouse, fully air conditioned, with a breathtaking 30sqm terrace overlooking the Grand Harbour and Fort St. Angelo from where you can enjoy some of the most beautiful views anywhere in Malta. Opposite is the historic town of Vittoriosa (Birgu), where the Great Siege took place in 1565. Next to it lies the cosmopolitan Cottonera Waterfront with restaurants, cafés and promenades leading to the Camper and Nicholson Yacht Marina.
The modern kitchen has all the appliances you would expect, including a dishwasher. The open plan living room leads directly onto the terrace and there is free broadband internet WiFi throughout the apartment.
Towards the rear one can find two double bedrooms and a terrace overlooking a quiet pedestrian street of character, typical of the area. There is also a separate bathroom.
The Penthouse is perfectly situated for all the cultural sights in the area. Valletta is a short trip away on the regular ferry across the harbour. There is a good bus service for €6.50 per person of unlimited travel across all of Malta for a week. Hiring a car is recommended, especially if you would like to visit the sister islands of Gozo and Comino, go swimming or explore off the beaten track.
There are restaurants and cafés along the Senglea promenade and the Vittoriosa waterfront is only a short walk around Dockyard Creek, or a quick hop across the water on a traditional water taxi, Dghajsa (“dysa”), that resembles a gondola. There you will find a variety of restaurants, wine bars and cafés.

The Marsa Sports Club, offering tennis and golf facilities, lies just a couple of miles away.
The Penthouse is on the 3rd floor with lift (expect to walk up some stairs).

Please note check in is not before 4pm till latest 11pm (we will try to accommodate earlier check-in times wherever possible), so no night arrivals are possible.

I have just returned from 4 nights at this apartment and all I can say is that it was amazing. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and stylish and the views were absolutely stunning - I can not recommend this apartment enough - thank you Daniel for your hospitality, and to your Mother and Father for welcoming us so kindly, and we hope to visit again next year.

Beautiful views in peaceful surroundings!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this penthouse. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the views, comforts, and amenities the apartment provided to help make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet, and Bolt/Uber are easy for pickup/dropoff. There are quite a few stairs, but we are in our mid-50s and fit, so not a big deal and worth the effort.

Our stay was heavenly.

Daniel was the perfect host and his flat was exactly as advertised. He was very responsive and flexible to our needs. Daniel's dad was very sweet when he met us for our arrival and tour. The location is quiet, yet within walking or ferry distance from everything. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quickly we could get a Bolt car right at the square at the top of the steps. Cheap and easy to get around the entire island. The view from the flat is superb and we witnessed gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the grand Harbour and the huge deck. I highly recommend Daniel's place for your stay in Malta!

Senglea

Fabulous views from the terrace, you could watch the comings and goings of the harbour all day. We were lucky enough to be there for the International Fireworks Display which was spectacular. The apartment is in the old city of Senglea with lots of steps to keep you fit! We loved our time here and would recommend staying

Die Ferienwohnung im ruhigen, wunderschönen Stadtviertel Senglea verfügt über eine große Terrasse mit atemberaubender Aussicht über den gesamten Hafen auf die Stadt Valletta und dem gegenüberliegenden Fort Saint Angelo. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gab ausreichend Parkplätze in der näheren Umgebung. Die Wohnräume und die Küche sind gut ausgestattet. Es gab einen persönlichen Empfang und einen Willkommensgruß

Week in Senglea

Daniel's apartment is lovely with fantastic views across the bay. It's well equipped and stylish and has everything you need for a holiday. The ferry to Valletta runs every 30 mins and is the ferry stop is a 20 mins walk around the bay. There are plenty of good restaurants within 10 - 20 mins walk. Daniel arranged for his dad to meet us on arrival and was able to sort out early check in for us and showed us around the place. We had a great time and would totally recommend.

WHAT A VIEW!

The apartment is in a truly spectacular position having unmatched views of Valletta and the 3 Cities and a lovely terrace on which to enjoy the sun. Joseph and Mrs Joseph met on us on arrival and could not have been more helpful in settling us in. The apartment was well equipped and expensively furnished. There are lots of steps, up to the apartment and in the area in general, so difficult for someone with bad knees! We look forward to returning.

Relaxed holiday with great balcony views

We had a relaxing time in great weather and spent the majority of our time in the apartment on the balcony as others have said. The flat suited our needs and was nicely decorated. The area does have many steps but if you pace yourself it’s fine. The ferries and the bus services are easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. Thanks Daniel and Silvana for meeting us.

Stunning view and great quiet location

Great 2 bed apartment in quiet local and friendly neighbourhood. Apartment well equipped. Small back balcony with washing facilities. Front terrace with large table and quality sun loungers with the best view over the harbour to Valletta and Birgu. Large shower with constant hot water. Air conditioning in the apartment although the unit in the spare room broken when we visited. Fan available. No car needed, public transport near by and easy to get around. Public ferry to Valletta from Birgu (20 mins walk) €2 each way or within a weekly public transport ticket you can purchase. Preferred using local Luzzu wooden boats…same price, run by local families, beautifully maintained, felt like we were investing more in the local economy. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and local ‘corner’ grocer shops where you could buy fresh produce, essentials, soya milk(!), in fact vegan and vegetarian diets well catered for. Used a taxi to get from airport to the apartment. Taxi booking office in the airport terminal, no booking ahead needed. You can also book and pay for a return trip at the same time which all worked out perfectly. Pay upfront and just confirm time and location the day before you return. €20 each way. Good contact and driver on time. If using a taxi, drop off and pick up at St Phillip’s Church in Sanglea, and then just walk down a short set of steps to the door of the apartment. Travel light. Streets are hilly and lots of steps. English spoken everywhere.

Amazing view from charming flat

We loved staying in this flat. The views from inside and from the balcony made this such an exciting vacation spot as you can watch all the harbour activity, have great views of the cannon firings and fireworks, and enjoy the picturesque views of Valletta. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the artwork on the walls. Everything was perfect and as described.

Great Apartment with Views

A really lovely apartment with great views across the harbour. Very comfortable too! We really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace (electric awnings provide shade if needed). Easy to get into Valletta with either the ferry or Uber etc. A great place overall. Many thanks to Daniel, and his father who met us on arrival.

Second stay in the apartment

This is the second time for us as that view is to die for. Constantly fascinated with the boats coming and going. Love all the activity. The flat is comfortable and in a great quiet area. Minutes to the seafront and plenty of restaurants etc to choose from. We will probably make it a third time when I accumulate more holiday!

Perfect month

First time in Malta. A one month winter holiday. This spot was exactly what we two Canadian seniors hoped for. A genuine neighbourhood, close to bus and ferry, very comfortable space for us to feel like locals for our month. The terrace and view were superb. We love ships and there was always activity to see in the Grand Harbour. Daniel was quick to answer and address any questions. His Dad, Joseph, met us in the church square and guided us to the apt and showed us all that we needed to know. Bed was comfortable as was the sofa and chair. Used the washer and drying rack. Nearby confectionery shops had nearly everything you could want with 2 butchers, a pharmacy, and hardware store close by. We ate on the Senglea and Birgu waterfronts a few times. For us, a 15 minute walk to ferry to Valletta and an 8 minute walk to the bus. Bolt taxi would let us off in the church square, about 45 stairs away from the apt. After busy days touring and visiting it was conforting coming home to the peaceful apt. As previously written, yes, there are stairs everywhere, we learned the routes with the least. The apt is on the 4th floor, a small elevator brings you (and 1 suitcase) to 3rd, then you climb one flight. Apt was bright and the back balcony with the washer was facing south for the maximum sun to dry the laundry. We loved Malta and the best part was this ideal spot. Thanks Daniel and Joseph.

Fantastic convenient location!

Fabulous apartment with a magnificent view of the grand harbour and a very spacious terrace . Lots of restaurants on the doorstep and a regular local ferry service to get across to Valetta . Daniel the host was very easy to deal with and Sylvana the lady who checked us in was really helpful . We would love to stay again , highly recommended

Great scenic location

The apartment offers fabulous views across the Grand Harbour and is an ideal location for visiting the 'Three Cities' and all they have to offer Nearby restaurants are excellent. Plenty of things to do without needing a car which can be easily accessed by walk harbour taxis or taxis, The apartment is comfortable but certain areas are in need of a 'refresh' It should be noted that the apartment is on the 3rd floor accessed via a stone spiral staircase. There is a small lift up to the 2nd floor. Parking is not easy. Most of the time we had to park close to the harbour which involved climbing many stone steps up to the apartments front door

Exceptional stay in Senglea

Senglea offers a welcome relaxed vibe with its waterfront restaurants a mere five minute stroll from the apartment. It was nice to mix visits to bustling and vibrant Valletta (a 10 minute ferry journey from Senglea) with the more relaxed location of the apartment. The view from the terrace was spectacular.
