Romantic Cabin for Two! 12 miles to Schlitterbahn/New Braunfels, Gruene Texas.

  • 10% discount for weekly stays..... (Check In is at 9am and Check Out is at 4 pm.) We want you to be able to enjoy more vacation time on your check in and check out days.

    We welcome pets but there is a pet deposit required and we request no pets on beds or couches. (See pet rules).

    NO GROUP PARTIES, NO EXCEPTIONS, this cabin is for a couple or a couple with kids. NO EXTRA GUESTS for the day to BBQ, it is just for the 2 people who rent it, plus their little kids. It is not for 4 adults.

    Come sit on the 400 SF dock of our Sliver Of The River on Lake Placid in Mcqueeney Texas! Lake is full again! Fish, Kayak or just snooze in the hammock. Large park like yard for kids/dogs to run around. (No fence though.) Up to 2 dogs under 50 pounds are allowed, must be listed and deposit paid. We have the cabin deep cleaned after each pet stay. Have dinner with a beautiful view of the river from the picnic table after you cook on the charcoal BBQ pit.
    We are located 35 miles from the River Walk in San Antonio and 62 miles from Austin.

    ( Slope down to the river is rather steep and may challenge some folks walking back up.)

We were welcomed to the adorable cabin with treats and a card. Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully updated. The river was running low, like just about everywhere in Texas, but the grounds were beautiful, with abundant seating options offered. The bbq area was lovely, and we appreciated the access to kayaks if we chose to use them. The only drawback was that the TV service was Roku, so we weren’t able to view live sports shows or news without paying separate long term fees.

Second time as good as the first…

I stayed in April and could not wait to get back. This is truly an amazing property. It was perfect for relaxing, fishing, and just getting away. I would recommend for a romantic get away or a small family trip. The host was very accommodating.

Beautiful Place

The property was very beautiful on the river with a nice sturdy dock. Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, modern appliances with a big porch and a covered barbecue area with hammocks. All and all one of the best rentals we have seen from Vrbo. Would definitely recommend it.

Great time, great location

My fiancée and i had a great time. It felt very private, even with a wedding reception going on next door. The separation between properties allowed their fun didn't distract our night. Great scenery. We spent most of our time just relaxing in the back porch. We enjoyed it very much. We wanted to rebook another stay before we left. We loved it.

Great location

Our stay was perfect. The pictures posted are exactly what you get! It was the perfect spot for what we had planned! The house had everything someone was to need on there stay as well. We will definitely be booking again in the future
