  • The Katy Trail Rest Stop is the perfect place to unwind and take in all that Sedalia has to offer! Your family will be close to the Katy Trail, State Fairgrounds, and Historic Downtown Sedalia when you stay at our spacious, centrally-located home.
    The space
    Our house is perfect for families, groups of friends, or business travelers alike. The eclectic aesthetic will make you feel right at home in Sedalia, providing you a stress free space to relax after a day of exploring or visiting family.

    The home features three bedrooms. One with a king bed and adjoining bathroom. And two with a queen bed. The hallway bathroom has a bathtub/shower.

    + Unwinding
    The décor & amenities reflect the quaint, welcoming feel of Sedalia. We have smart TVs that provide a plethora of apps guests may sign into. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cups, plates, cookware and bakeware that you would need to cook meals in. We also provide coffee, sugar, & creamer to warm you up anytime of the day.

    There is room for 1-2 cars in the driveway and additional parking via the alley behind the house. Our home is equipped with a keypad door lock and your individual code will be sent to you the day prior to check in.

    Other things to note
    While we like fury friends, we do not allow them in our home. If this is an issue, we are happy to provide information on pet boarding as an alternative during your stay.

Perfect for our family for space and price and location. Easy access to State Fair Fairgrounds and College and other amenities. Plenty of parking space. Very comfortable and clean and family friendly.

We had a great stay at The Katy Rest Stop. The host provided all information (check-in process, check-in and check-out info, and procedures) in a friendly and timely manner. The host responded to questions promptly, too. The property was clean and well maintained. Since we have family in Sedalia, we’ll certainly consider using it again should the need arise.

Taryn is the best host, we've booked this home repeatedly for a work crew and the guys have all commented on how great it has been to stay there, very relaxing and accomodating after a day at work

Work crew stayed here during an out of town project. They were very happy with the accomodations and commented how much nicer and spacious this stay was over a hotel room.The host was great to work with, I would definately book again for a work trip, or even for a family getaway to Sedalia.

The good things about the property were the size of the house and the location. The living room and overall space were comfortable. However, we were very disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of the kitchen. There were many ants that got into our food during our stay, which made the experience very unpleasant. The house is also very old, and it looked like the kitchen cabinets had never been replaced or updated. For the price they charge per night, the property is not worth it. Overall, the property did not meet our expectations. We will not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Great Communication

In town for work, had a furnace issue, responce was prompt and we had the issue resolved quickly, nice neighborhood close to restaurants and activities, will definitely stay again for future trips.

Great property, excellent communication!

Taryn was very accommodating, and helped us with some scheduling issues. The home was very clean and comfortable, and perfect for our group. I would absolutely stay here again!

Clean and Comfortable House

Enjoyed our time at this property. Very clean and inviting. Beds were comfortable. It was a perfect place for our short stay. Would recommend, though a little pricey.....

Felt like home

My family stayed here while in town for a wedding. It was the perfect place to spread out and relax between events. Very clean and tidy and had all the essentials we needed. The host was extremely helpful in pre-trip plans and special accommodations. Would stay here again if returning to the area.
