Welcome to the Nordic Den in Ballard! This is an amazing location that is only a 2 block walk to the heart of Ballard with shopping, restaurants and nightlife (5 miles from Seattle). This newly furnished apartment is the perfect urban space with it’s large screen TVs in the living room and bedroom, plenty of seating for movie watching, a stocked kitchen, a private bedroom and an outdoor patio space complete with a bright blue cafe table and chairs that is calling you outside to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. This is a relaxing retreat for a couple, corporate traveler, small family or friends' weekend.

This is location is centrally located to enjoy Ballard restaurants, shopping, Nordic Museum, Ballard Locks and Salmon Ladder, but it is only 5 miles to Seattle's best tourist attractions: the Seattle Center (which includes the Space Needle, Children's Museum, Pacific Science Center, Chilhuly Garden and Glass), MoPOP museum, Seattle Aquarium, and Pike Place Market. This location offers access to some of Downtown Seattle's best restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and shopping. And if you are a sports fan you are less than 5 miles away from the brand new Climate Pledge Arena (home of the Kraken NHL team) and less than 7 miles from Seahawks, Mariners, and Sounders' stadiums so you can enjoy football, baseball, and/or soccer games!

* No events or parties - If determined that a party/event is taking place at the property, management has the right to evict tenants and guests with no refund given

* If determined that a party took place on any of the nights reserved, reservation guest will be charged $500, no exceptions!

* Maximum occupancy for this property is 3 people (see House Rules). $100 fee per person per night for each additional extra overnight guest

* Must be 25 years old to reserve home

* Reservations made for teenagers or young single groups will not be honored without any accompanying adult staying in the unit at ALL times. We require at least one member of the party to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age.

* Be respectful to the condo and your neighbors. Excessive noise and disregard to Seattle's noise ordinance can result in eviction

Family Visit

Loved the location. Pillows need proper size pillowcases. Polyester sheets are hot with no air conditioning. No instructions for check out. Hope we did it right. Recommend Sugar and Salt for coffee, and breakfast. These are small details; we are not complaining just suggestions for next time.

Clean apartment in great location

Aapartment was well stocked with toiletries/kitchen supplies. Clean, cool basement unit. Only challenge was we had to go out on patio to make calls since we didn’t have service, but were able to get on WiFi. Great overall!

Perfect location to take advantage of all that Ballard has to offer. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, botanical gardens, and locks. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Exactly as described. Don’t pass this place up.

Perfect Ballard Home Base

What a clean, comfortable space for our vacation. Ballard is an amazing neighborhood, so many walkable restaurants, shopping, treats and activities nearby! Having a parking space was such a bonus as street parking is challenging. Spoke with the manager and they were alway very responsive. Bed was comfortable but squeaky. Could have used room darkening shades and a few more pillows, but everything was as noted. The outdoor patio was great, too. Would definitely return again.

As promised

Accommodations just as advertised. Well-equipped kitchen. Wonderful bed- spouse particularly enjoyed the back supporting mattress. Easy walking distance to activities and great restaurants and great neighborhood for just strolling and observing the varied landscaping. Off-street parking a HUGE plus. One small problem was quickly addressed by the property manager.

Comfortable and clean

The living room and bedroom were quite spacious. The kitchen quite compact but workable. The location was perfect for us; within walking district to many of Ballard’s offerings such as Farmers Market, the Locks, National Nordic Museum and restaurants. Just some small inconveniences: lack of closet in bedroom and no instructions for tv and remotes. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Old Ballard weekend

This unit is perfectly located to enjoy all of Old Ballard. The hosts were gracious and responsive. Everything you need to enjoy the neighborhood, including parking! We used to live on this street and felt like we were home!

Quality home base in an excellent location

This apartment offered everything I was looking for in my recent trip. While certainly not the fanciest digs it's offerings are more than adequate and more importantly it was clean and the host extremely professional and efficient. Check in was seamless and communication was clear and consistent as my stay approached. The location in Ballard offers easy walking to the many neighborhood offerings and is very convenient to multiple bus lines as well as rental car and ride share services. As an out of towner I was easily able to leverage all of this to make for a smooth and comfortable stay. The apartment itself covers all the needs with a comfy bed and couch as well as kitchen basics and a nice bonus of off street parking. It is a half basement unit (as clearly pictured) so there are expected noise and moisture issues but nothing out of the ordinary for such a setup. Over all I enjoyed my stay and was happy to have such an easy to find and accessible place to call home for the week.
