The house was cool, if funky, but the deck and view were unbeatable. Also the hot tub and fire pit were great. There’s no direct beach access though, you have to go just a bit in either direction, but hearing the ocean from the room made up for it.

House does not look like pictures a little miss leading. Needs tall chairs and table on patio so you can sit and see the view while having coffee. There was no seasoning hardly for food. It was very musky smelling, dishes were dirty, floors turned our feet black, refridgerator had some hair in it. This is the only place ive been that id rather be out doing something besides just chilling in the house. It has a lot of potential but needs a lot of love and up keep.

Beautiful views

I would love to give this property 5 stars because of its views and outdoor space. This is why I booked this house! It is a bit dated on the inside which I could tell from the photos so this was not a surprise. I booked it for the deck, views, hot tub and fire pit- all of which we used daily. The outdoor BBQ was also nice. If you love to sit on the deck and drink your coffee/cocktails with a book and views that go on for miles this is your place! Other positives- despite being dated it was very clean, everything worked and the kitchen was well stocked. There were skylights so the house was full of light. The laundry machines were huge! The linens were nice and there were plenty of towels for both the showers and the beach. The tv room was great and all 5 of us were able to sit comfortably and watch movies. We brought a Roku stick so we had all of our movie apps. The only issue with this space is you had to go through one of the bedrooms to access it from the inside. This was awkward for the people sleeping in this room. It can be accessed via an outdoor staircase as well. The only other negative that has been mentioned by other reviewers is beach access required a short walk down 101 or a 1 min drive. Overall a great space, very roomy and clean. I would stay here again and would give it 4.5 stars.

Beautiful views of the Ocean

The location was excellent and the house was very comfortable. The views of the ocean were spectacular. The only down side was the cleanliness, dust on surfaces and cobwebs on walls and light fixtures. The upstairs entertainment room also had an overwhelming smell of dog urine. It was just my husband and I so we just avoided that part of the house and connecting bedroom. We did reach out to the management company and they send they would alert their local team.

Fun times!

Overall, things were great! However, there were a couple things that could be addressed. The instructions for entering the house were incorrect and caused a little confusion and delay. We were referred to the wrong lock in the written instructions. An available video was correct. Also,therewas an issue with hot water supply in the master bathroom, which we have discussed with support. Otherwise we really enjoyed our experience and the location is wonderful!

Amazing ocean view

The view from the deck was absolutely stunning and the house itself was amazing! The beds were comfortable with lot's of room for everyone in my family. It was hard to decide whether we would explore nearby Newport or stay in the house and enjoy the view. Beach access was close by and that section of beach was amazing with all the rocks and pools to explore. We will be back!

I wasn't as impressed as I should have been

The property wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be. There was even a gatorade bottle half full in the windowsill when we arrived. The view was amazing, and the bed was comfortable, but the house wasn't organized, the cupboards were old and the contents thrown in with no organization, the knives provided couldn't cut through butter. It did have an ocean view, but to access the beach you have to walk down a very busy hwy (Pacific Coast Hwy) and with children I wouldn't walk there, so we had to drive. The furniture was ok, but the dining room table seemed as if it should be thrown out . I realize it was pet friendly, but for the cost, I would expect better. It did full fill our needs enough for the weekend we spent there, and the hot tub was nice, however it was in a spot where you weren't able to see the beautiful views and that didn't make a lot of sense to me. It had the feel of a Hotel 8, which is to say it was suitable, but not the nicest.

great views unsafe home

We were informed that we could check in an hour early, so we headed to the property. Upon arrival, we found the cleaning crew still working, so we had to wait. Once inside, we discovered ant poison all over the kitchen counters from leaking traps. The main living area carpet was ripped, posing a tripping hazard, and there was a musty smell throughout the home, likely from black mold in various rooms. The BBQ was out of propane, and when we replaced the tank, we found the BBQ was broken and couldn't reach the proper temperature, which was a major inconvenience for our Memorial Day weekend plans. Additionally, the WiFi signal was weak and disconnected frequently. We attempted to contact property management through several listed numbers but only received a new propane tank, which didn't resolve the BBQ issue. While the view from the deck is stunning, the home's safety concerns, particularly the black mold, make it unsuitable for rental.

Gross, dangerous beach access, bad customer service

Upon entering there was a dead, decaying rat thats clearly been there for a while, and lots of feces. Also ants everywhere to the point they were in my friend's hair. How, after this, are we expected to feel clean in the home? It was really shabby and run down, also had a weird smell to the house. It was hard to trust that things were clean in the kitchen, and ants were all over everything!! The beach access is not clearly marked/signed, and the way we did find was through a few other properties and down a really sketchy, falling apart stairwell - absolutely only for confident, able bodied adults. Its been 2 weeks since our stay and i have had very minimal if any response . I genuinely dont think this house got cleaned or checked on prior to our arrival which is gross. Cleaning fee was high and i have yet to get any type of refund. Just be aware youre paying for the deck and the view, but there are plenty of other in this exact spot that are probably way better and cleaner with the same views. This awful customer service is also another reason to not book with vrbo. I cant get an email or callback 2 weeks now. After cleaning up the dead rat, the poop, ants and in general dishes etc. We left the place cleaner than we arrived.
