The property sleeps three guests across two bedrooms and would suit a small family or group of friends. A short, 0.5-mile stroll will bring you into the centre of the village, where you’ll find a beautiful collection of independent boutiques – the perfect place to pick up a little keepsake from your holiday. The village also has an excellent range of eateries, many of which serve delicious local seafood and produce from the area. Seahouses boasts a fabulous sandy beach, backed by dunes, where you can enjoy picnics, sandcastle building, and bathing in the sea. From the harbour, boat trips run to the Farne Islands, which are located just off the coast. A trip to these magical islands is a must for wildlife enthusiasts, who will have the opportunity to spot puffins, seals, dolphins, and many other rare animals. Just 20 miles along the coast is the tidal Holy Island of Lindisfarne. This is the place to go if you really want to get away from it all. Spend a peaceful afternoon exploring the castle ruins and ancient priory, and taking in the breathtaking scenery of this tranquil island.
The traditional stone-built cottage has been beautifully decorated and furnished, with crisp, white walls providing a backdrop to stylish furniture and cute accessories. The lounge is a delightful place to unwind at the end of a busy day, with a choice of colourful seating arranged around a roaring wood burner. Spend time in here chatting over a bottle of wine or catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is a bright and stylish space in which to prepare home-cooked meals, to enjoy together at the dining table by the window. The family bathroom, with its exposed stonework and adorable seaside knickknacks, is also located on the ground floor. The two bedrooms – a king-size and a single – are located on the first floor. These rooms are set in the eaves, so you can expect sloping ceilings and restricted head height in some areas. Completing the first floor is a small office area on the landing, with a desk and chair, should you need to check your emails or catch up on some work whilst away.
Directly outside the property is a bench, where you can sip an aperitif in the evening sunshine. Alternatively, a short walk along the lane will bring you to the property’s private garden. This area is laid to lawn and is fully enclosed, making it ideal for four-legged guests. There is also a BBQ and outdoor furniture, so you can dine outside on balmy evenings.
