The house is located directly on the Inn River, and the steady murmur of the river and the silence of nature guarantee a relaxed and restful stay. Three mineral springs and the Fundaziun Nairs cultural center - an artist house with regular art exhibitions - are located in the immediate vicinity. Hikes or bicycle tours can be started directly from the house. The Nairs village section is only 2 car minutes from Scuol. Engadin Bad Scuol, the train station, many restaurants, and shopping opportunities can be comfortably reached by bicycle in 10 minutes or on foot in approximately 20 to 30 minutes during the summer.



In the bright and spacious apartment (90 m2), one can fully enjoy the vacation. In the historic Villa Victoria, you can feel a bit like Queen Victoria without having to do without modern comforts. All rooms are spacious and bright with views of the wildly romantic garden or the Inn River. The open kitchen is equipped with an oven, glass ceramic stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and coffee machine.



The 90 m2 large apartment is located on the 2nd (top) floor of Villa Victoria. The villa is situated in a wildly romantic setting, directly on the banks of the Inn River. The wild landscape of the Lower Engadine fascinates anew with every glance. Away from the hustle and bustle, the vacation apartment offers the perfect place to relax or as a starting point for a hike and is excellently suited for both families and guests interested in culture, history, and nature.



The venerable Villa Victoria has recently been comprehensively renovated in consultation with the Grisons Monument Conservation Authority. The building's energy needs are now met 100% by renewable energies (primarily geothermal energy). This is entirely in the spirit of a sustainable approach to scarce natural resources - and also in the spirit of tourism interested in sustainability.



The Villa Victoria (then still called Villa Kurhaus) was built in 1874 as an annex to the Kurhaus Hotel right next door - by a very famous Swiss architect who had erected almost every palazzo of the Russian nobility in St. Petersburg. The villa served to accommodate special guests of the hotel - which means a lot, as half of Europe's crowned heads came and went in the hotel next door.



It is rumored that Queen Victoria also resided here (hence the name Villa Victoria). And that in quiet full moon nights, one can still see the tall figure of John Brown, Queen Victoria's devoted Scottish servant, walking around the villa to cut flowers for his Queen. Well. This is not scientifically proven. What is certain, however, is that today adventurers and those seeking relaxation, and families in particular, are welcome at Villa Victoria. And that children's eyes will probably see the Villa Colorful rather than Villa Victoria.



Shopping can be done in Scuol, 2 km away, at Coop, Volg, Denner, or in bakeries and many local shops on Stradun. The Scuol train station and the valley station of the mountain railways are also reachable within a 2-minute car ride.
