The Bickle Cottage is made for classic summer lake living. Mornings are quiet and calm, perfect for fishing or paddling out on the kayaks and paddleboards. Days move easily between swimming, boating activity on the lake, and relaxing by the water.

One of our favourite features is the boathouse, a fun extra space to hang out, play games, or sleep on breezy summer nights. Inside the cottage, the dining area naturally becomes the gathering spot, whether it’s shared meals, cards, games or planning the next day’s adventure.

You’re close to downtown Port Perry for ice cream runs, shopping, patios and casual dining, with plenty of nearby wineries, breweries, and live music for day trips. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and designed for making the kind of summer memories that keep you talking long after you’ve gone home.

Loved this property it was well appointed with amenities I have at home. My family loved as well. The bedrooms were a good size and well planned out. 1/5 baths was a must for the 6 of us. We did not bring our dogs along. View of the lake was awesome. We got to see the ice break up into cubes and float onto shore by Sunday morning the lake ice was gone but not the build up of ice cubes on the shore. Our Rental was over Easter Weekend and the weather only cooperated 1 day the rest of the time it was cold and windy with rain, sleet and snow. Still very pretty outside. We would go back again.

Property was beautifully decorated and clutter-free. Kitchen was equipped with everything one might require. Many windows in the property enabled us to enjoy the lakeside views and sunset and ice on the water. Plenty of paper products and linens available. Comfortable beds.

From start to finish our experience at The Bickle Cottage was absolutely fabulous! A friend travelling from out of the country stayed here and I was so excited to share it with my book club, girlfriends! The cottage is so very lovely. The many windows wrapped around the cottage make it incredibly bright. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly welcoming. The kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked. We enjoyed sitting outside during the day and evening. We were also lucky enough to be able to swim in September! The hosts were gracious and communication was prompt. The information left for us not only gave a detailed guide to our stay, it shared the history of The Bickle Cottage. This made us feel at home. Our experience was nothing short of BRILLIANT! Looking forward to booking a family stay!

Steps to the Water! Accessible, Pet Friendly & Full of Heart

My mom hasn’t been well for some time, and it’s been years since we’ve been able to take her on a real vacation. I was searching for somewhere close to the city, with easy access to the water, main‑floor amenities for her comfort, and somewhere that would welcome our pets. I can’t even put into words how perfectly this place delivered.Watching my mom step into the water—over and over again—for the first time in years, it was something I wasn’t sure we’d ever see again, and it meant the world to us.The Bickell sisters are truly something special: warm, thoughtful, and so attentive. They didn’t just give us a vacation; they gave us memories we’ll cherish forever. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Cozy Place

We stayed here for a weekend for our annual sisters trip. The booking was smooth, instructions were clear, and the cottage had everything we needed. Since it was February, we appreciated all of the cozy blankets and pillows for our use. You can tell that the Bickle sisters put a lot of effort into making sure you have a fantastic experience.

Perfect Winter Weekend

It was my husband’s 50th birthday and I surprised him with a weekend getaway with friends & family. The Bickle sisters were very hospitable and I was able to do an early check in to set up everything before coming back to the cottage with my husband. The location was perfect bc it was 1 hour outside of the gta. The cottage was very clean and love the decor in the home. You can really feel the amount of love that’s put into their cottage. It was great that we were able to have a fire outside in the month of January and during the day walked outside on the frozen lake. I’m sure we will be back again. Cristina & Francois

Lovely getaway with friends

We really enjoyed our stay and girls getaway at the Bickle cottage. The Bickle sisters were extremely responsive before, during and after our visit. the cottage is very nicely decorated, clean, cozy and charming. The new boathouse is gorgeous. As we were there Sept mid week it was quiet.The kitchen is well stocked and bedrooms comfortable. Thank you Bickle Sisters!

Amazing Modern Cottage

We had an absolutely great time at this cottage! It was even more impressive in person than the pictures - the Bickle sister thoughts about every minute detail and made everything easy, from getting the kayaks/ canoes to throwing away the garbage. Awesome cottage

Our stay was was great. The cottage was cozy but with a nice comfortable modern feel. The kitchen was amazing. The views of the lake from the deck were beautiful but even if you wanted to stay inside you could get a great view of the sunset. Bedrooms were all clean with nice beds. Loved how they offered canoes and kyaks aswell. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a waterfront property

Amazing Cottage

This property was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very clean, comfortable and a beautiful view of the lake from the back room. Lots of seating for a large group. The owners are awesome and approachable. Very well stocked with kitchen items and towels for our use. There were 7 guests and we didn't find it crowded at all. I would certainly book again.
