"A Short Break" — Fantastic Views of the Franconian Countryside — Ideal for Motorcyclists

Take a little time out and relax in our bright, 75-square-meter vacation apartment nestled in the heart of the Franconian countryside. It’s the ideal starting point for hikers and cyclists, as well as those interested in Bamberg and lovers of thermal baths.

You’ll be staying on the outskirts of Pausdorf, a small Upper Franconian village of just 100 residents, in a quiet location. Thanks to the house’s hillside location, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and can listen to the sounds of nature in the garden or on the large private terrace.

And if you’d like to go shopping, enjoy a meal out, or go sightseeing, Scheßlitz is just 5 kilometers or a 5-minute drive away, and Bamberg is 20 minutes away. Giechburg Castle towers over the old town of Scheßlitz and is a popular spot for hiking and dining at the Burg Restaurant.

About the apartment:
The vacation rental is located on the basement level on the south side and has a separate entrance with a foyer for coats and shoes. You’re also welcome to park your bicycles here and charge your e-bike.

The apartment was completely renovated in December 2022 and features a bedroom with a double bed, a large living room with a sleeper sofa (1.4 x 2 m), a modern kitchen-living room, and a small bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, filter coffee maker, espresso machine, electric kettle, teapot, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, plus much more.

The living room features a modern 55-inch TV with internet access and a CD player with radio; Wi-Fi is available free of charge.
Bed linens, hand towels, and bath towels are included in the price.

The apartment is ideal for 2–3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. A baby crib can also be provided.

A free parking space with an e-wallbox is available right in front of the house. The entrance hall offers a secure, locked area for your bicycles. You can charge e-bikes there for free.

The Surroundings:
The apartment is an ideal starting point for an active vacation in Franconian Switzerland, featuring activities such as hiking, biking, and rock climbing.

In addition, the culinary region of Upper Franconia offers not only excellent Franconian cuisine but also delicious Franconian wine. Thanks to the world’s highest concentration of breweries, you can sample a wide variety of outstanding beers at many of the small, quaint breweries in the surrounding area.

Culturally popular cities such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bamberg (20 min), Bayreuth (30 min), and Nuremberg are within easy reach.
Wellness enthusiasts and spa guests can unwind at the Obermaintherme Bad Staffelstein, the Therme Obernsees, or the Bambados in Bamberg.
