Great location on Chippewa Square. Walking distance to resturants and cafés. Parking is a pain because of ghost tours, church services, etc. If you're lucky, you can pay for street parking but if not there are lots in walking distance you can pay for via a QR code. You can extend online before it expires. It's expensive. A two day stay could be hundreds if you don't land a street spot. Security wise there are codes on entry and exit doors but be sure to hit the lock button when leaving or entering so the doors into the inn are actually closed. This includes doors for the courtyard and stairwell area into the main building where the kitchen and dining room are at. If you notice an open door, simply hit the lock button and double check. Rooms were very clean. I didnt do breakfast (wish I did) but it's a nice set up. I'd rather stay in the historic section rather than near the waterfront which feels more like a party. If you want a chill time stay in an inn. Your room has a deadbolt on it and landline phone. Late check in is possible but you have to call a head of time. There's actually two front entrances. The main one is the red brick staircase which can be a pain if you deal have issues with stairs or need to carry in lots of bags. The second entrance has white brick stairs and has less steps. Also, in the back there is an entrance which you can drive up to but you need a code.
