Exquisite Designer Estate on Charlton near Forsyth by Lucky Savannah

Located on a quiet street in Savannah’s National Landmark Historic District, this stunning residence was completely renovated and includes designer touches throughout. This exceptional 1890 property, which originally housed a pharmacy and confectionary, includes exquisite period details, including five original fireplaces, crown moldings, original hardwood floors, high ceilings and two covered verandas overlooking Charlton Street. Nestled on a prized corner lot, this home offers incredible natural light, with south and west exposures and designer lighting throughout.

The main house greets visitors with a spectacular foyer sporting black-and-white checkerboard-patterned marble flooring and grasscloth wallpaper. The parlor level includes a sleek, magnificent open kitchen design with an oversized Carrara marble island, Frigidaire Professional Series stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, ice maker, private bar area with stainless steel wine chiller and spacious dining room with decorative fireplace. The living room offers a gracious space for relaxing or entertaining and has French doors providing easy access to the covered veranda, with a grand piano for entertaining guests.

On the second level, a primary suite offers the ultimate in luxury with an oversized bath including a soaking tub, double Carrara marble vanity and tile-and-glass shower. The primary bedroom also includes a decorative fireplace, walk-in closet with built-in storage and French doors that open to a covered terrace. A second en suite bedroom and laundry room with Samsung washer and dryer complete the second floor layout.

Located just two short blocks from Savannah's famed Forsyth Park, and just steps away from some of Savannah’s best dining, shopping and activities.

Our visit to Savannah was made truly special by our stay at this amazing home (pictures don’t do it justice for beauty and space). This location simply couldn’t be beaten - we loved being able to walk to everything in historic Savannah, which was incredibly convent as we were there to see our daughter and attend the film festival. The space itself was beautifully designed, and we particularly appreciated the roominess of the house; it felt incredibly comfortable and spacious. This property is now very high on our list, and we will absolutely look to stay here again if it is available during our next visit to Savannah. Highly Recommend!!!

Absolutely wonderful

This home is delightful. My kids loved it and we all felt like royalty staying here. Every corner is beautiful and was the perfect blend of historic charm with modern touches. Location is great on a quiet street but close to anything you’d want to visit in the historic district. We hope to stay here again!!

Beautiful property

We were visiting Savannah for a wedding and wanted a centralized location. The home was beautiful, the owners super friendly and accommodating and the location perfect to walk around the historic district as well as river front. We would highly recommend and stay again!

Fantastic

Pretty and big! Two en suite bedrooms upstairs, kitchen dining room and living room downstairs meant there was plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the historic, walkable neighborhood of Savannah.

Amazing Home

This is our second time staying at this wonderful house and even though a year has passed, the home is still immaculate and well appointed. Truly luxurious in every way, spotless clean and welcoming. It is walking distance to everything historic downtown Savanah has to offer. BRAVO to the management company "Lucky Savanah" and the Owners of the home for their meticulous maintenance of this stunning property. We will return for sure.

Nice stay

Great property for couples. Each room has its own bathroom and the layout was excellent. Very large home as well and located within walking distance of many attractions. My only complaint is that it skimped on household items such as paper towels, coffee and coffee filters (2 for a 3 day stay), and other kitchen and cooking items. Had to make a run to a Walgreens for little extras like that a couple of times. It was a VERY nice property though overall, just a few little extra cheap household items would have made it exceptional.

Beautiful property and very clean. Great stay - our power went out in a storm and they were so amazing and called the electric company for us to make sure it was coming back on in a timely manner. 10/10 !

Beautiful House

This was a wonderful place to stay. My sister and I surprised our mom with a few days vacation. The home is very clean and in a cozy neighborhood. There is a delicious coffee and treat shop around the corner. The only negative thing I have to say is they were reroofing the house right across the street. We rented this particular house because of the porch. Our mom loves to sit outside and drink her coffee. She could not do this because there were workers right there every day of our trip. It would have been nice to know there was construction going on, we would have postponed our trip to a less noisy time we could use the outside. It was a negative for sure, but we made the best of it and had a good time

Wonderful Girls' Weekend

Photos do not do it justice. My friends and I arrived to find a beautiful, clean property with lovely, tasteful decor and a spacious layout. We all agreed we could have stayed a month. We were a short walk from many sights and wonderful restaurants. We loved cooking in the well-appointed kitchen with ample cooking supplies. The ice maker and wine fridge were a wonderful bonus. Dishwasher and washer/dryer were quiet. Minor items of note (that didn't detract too much from our stay, but I wanted to mention): Bathrooms would benefit from robe/towel hooks - there really wasn't any place to hang damp towels except the shower curtain rod / glass shower enclosure or on a door knob Door to master bath sticks a bit because of swelling/humidity There were a few light bulbs that needed to be replaced There was a photo of a nook in the listing but it had since been converted to a storage area, which was a little disappointing There was no hot water in the 2nd bath, but the master was ok. We weren't sure if the hot water tank had been depleted and needed to recover. After waiting :15, we used the master shower (not the 2nd bathroom), which always had hot water when needed. Overall, a memorable stay at a beautiful property.

AMAZING HOME !!

We have stayed at many VRBO homes throughout the years, and most were quite nice but not quite perfect, so we didn't imagine we would ever find one that was absolutely perfect. Well, we finally did with the Chateaux Charleton. First and foremost, the communication with the Management team was easy. The home is in a perfect location right in the center of historic downtown Savanah. Walking distance to everything. Upon entering the home, we realized that the entire building was ours for the duration of our stay as there are no adjoining units. The home was absolutely spotless. We felt like we were in a 5-star luxury hotel suite. Everything was remodeled including a gourmet kitchen with a bar pantry that included a wine cooler and a commercial ice machine for cocktails. It was so perfect we cannot wait to come back. OK, if I can make one suggestion for an improvement, it would be for the Management team to install the proper sized shower curtain in the guest bedroom bathroom, so water does not splash on the tile flooring. On top of all the perfection, one of the smoke alarms started to beep 11:30 on a Sunday night. I called the Management Co. thinking that I was going to get their answering machine, instead a person actually picked up and they sent out a repairman within 30 minutes. Yes, on a Sunday night at 11:30. It cannot get better than that. BRAVO to the Management team and the Owner for making our 5 days stay in Savanah a memorable one.

Decor galore

This is one of the nicest VRBO places we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in many over our years of travel. The decor is beyond most we've encountered--very colorful and well coordinated. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and fabulous appliances, including ice maker and wine cooler! Plenty of towels in both baths and even a grand piano in the living room. We found it easy to walk everywhere and the street was quiet. Overall, an A++ stay that we highly recommend.

Amazing property, nicely renovated & great location

From start to finish this was by far one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at during a vacation. The townhome has been tastefully renovated with beautiful finishes and high end decor. The linens, toiletries and everything in between was 5 star quality. The property management was prompt in answering any queries we had and the location is in the heart of the historic district. Walkable to shops, eateries and squares in the heart of the city. Would highly recommend!

Dream wedding weekend!

A beautiful wedding weekend in Downtown Savannah! Myself and my bridesmaids got ready here prior to our wedding. Such a beautiful backdrop for getting ready as well as photos! When I arrived, the dining room table was clearly not cleaned. The home was warm during our second night, and fans were promptly brought out to us. Overall, a great stay!

Great Vacation Rental

The house was very clean, cute, and well laid out. Great location on a quiet street w parking. We loved the little balconies out front. Some more basic necessities would have been helpful; extra trash bags, dishwasher pods, toilet paper, paper towels, hand towels, ect. 5 women staying for 4 nights and there were only 2 dishwasher pods, and the 1 trash bag in each bin. Overall we loved the rental and would for sure rent it again.
